I fiddled around with many iterations of a much simpler design, just a funnel that leads to a hole of a certain diameter. But this design really takes it to the next level. Kudos, that is some very fine engineering.
Thank you! I actually started with a unibody design as well, but every time the beans were a different size, it didn't work as well - and that's how I ended up with the design.
An alpha version for self printing is out (with some problems). If you waiting for the finished version, you can follow me on IG or Ko-fi, there I post about the finished versions 😅
How much does the design depend on the vibrations of the grinder while operating? I ask, because as a current Lagom P64 and former DF64 Gen 2 owner, the P64 is very stable compared to the DF64, but then again, maybe a little is all that's needed.
The vibration is negligible. More important is the fixing of the grinding disk in the middle (screw), as this is used to transport the beans. This is flattened on the P64. This could possibly be the biggest challenge.
There is an extra version for the DF64Gen1 (currently only available for self printing), all info about it, on my website: dubios42.wordpress.com/grind-finer/
Great grinder but since the fellow ode has a different intake system, this is probably quite challenging without owning one to test. Maybe someone who has a fellow Ode of their own would like to do something along these lines?
Detailed information about the project and the different Grind Finer! versions can be found here: dubios42.wordpress.com/grind-finer/

Just ordered mine! Great design my man, happy to support your work.
Thank you very much! Will print it tomorrow.
Contrats man, fantastic project 👏
Thank you!
Great design! I hope you'll consider making one for the DF54 as well. I don't know how challenging it is to accommodate the smaller profile.
Thanks! Yes, but it will probably take some time.
@@42coffeethings no worries. Take your time! Thank you!
I would buy one for the df54
Great update 👍Waiting patiently for the DF64Gen1 version😁
Thanks! Glad to hear, if the feedback is good I will sell the Gen1 version too (or improve it until it works as intended).
@@42coffeethings one for me ;)
Waiting for df64 gen 2 and keep checking back constantly 😅

Amazing design!
Thanks!
Can you make this for thr df64v? Looks great!
Thanks! yes, currently working on it
@@42coffeethings looking forward to it!
looks great! any plans on making this for the df83v?
Thanks! It's planned but it will be a while. Currently I am working on other versions.
Does this fit a df 64 gen 1?

Is this available for df64v yet?
Currently not but I am working on it
Would love something like this for my fellow Ode :)
