I still think this was the best Wild ARMs. The characterization was just so good. Everyone had a great story, backstory, great moviations great character arcs.
How are you people in the comments even real? I swear, I have such a difficult time finding anybody else who's played this game. D: I can't find anybody who grew up playing the same games that I did
finished it like multiple times when I was in my early junior high years (I'm more than twice as old as I was back then now) Lilka was my favorite character by the way. Laughed out loud when my little brother (he was in kindergarten back then) naming ashley as ashleyammo when he played it.
Who else felt that goosebump right now, here, in 2016? The trumpet is what makes this music unique among the music that we hear today. It's been 12 years since I've cleared this one. Bought it on PlayStation Store to clear it again. Fun fact: I thought it was published and developed by SquareSoft. But, who cares? The game is freaking awesome.
I remember it was 2000. My aunt knew I loved RPG games and while she didn't fully know what that meant she would just go to game stores and ask for RPG games. She bought Wild Arms 2 for my Christmas present and I fell so in love with this game. The disk 2 intro is still one of my all time favorite ost songs.
OMG! Brings back my high school memories. I miss this game so much. I haven't finish the game yet, but I definitely will play this game again and finish it. I can't help but miss the good ol ps1 and ps2 where do where so many rpgs to choose from.
Damn so many feels... (Ohh and to anyone who likes this sorta thing I have a COMPLETE Wild Arms 2 LP on my channel which includes all the bonus bosses...)
OH YES! this right here is one of the best games that I have played!! The soundtracks are extremely awesome, most importantly the battle with lordblazer--- the remix is GODLY!
Legend of Legaia and Wild Arms 2 were the first JRPG's I actually owned. Before that I played Earthbound on my cousin's SNES. But it was Wild Arms 2 with the guy with the bayonet. That opening, when I'd finally beaten Vinsfeld Rhadamanthus. You know that feel. Leader of Odessa. Captain of the Cocytus. Wielder of the Mad Mountains. And then I fought Ghost. Try beating that thing without "Turn Alive". I didn't know that trick until later. It's a fight worthy of legends.
This game is amazing front to back. They went all out on those intros. Also, Anastasia 😭 what the hell. Definitely my fav character in a game for such little screen time.
God they need to remake this one! I love Wild Arms 1, don't get me wrong, but 2 has some really awesome characters. An even better candidate for a remaster. And 3 as well!
this was the best rpg on ps1 in my opinion. this will always be one of my top 10 favorites games of all time. i wish they would release a new one for current gen or next gen consoles, but make the fighting like this game, i couldnt get into the other games cuz of how they changed the fighting. it was so different from wat i was used to, it just seemed foreign to me.
well its exactly the "one long cut scene" games like final fantasy that will stay in your mind forever. good gameplay is good gameplay, but when you combine good gameplay with an insanely good story that vortexes you in it becomes something more. thts why RPGs are good. the story and scenes from the game remain with you forever
Definitely agree with this. A good game that also required using your brain a bit too. I actually never finished this game because I got stuck near the end at this puzzle I could never figure out. I think I remember 4 pillars down in a tomb and some writing on a wall telling some nonsense and I just... couldn't figure the crap out.
Wild Arms 2 was my first in the series, Wild Arms 3 I thought was very artistic and managed to convey a lot of emotions, and had a different form of story telling. I haven't played the first one or the 4th but I like the games. and then XF also looks like a good game. Wild Arms has one thing unlike Final fantasy... Each game actually seems to take place in the same world. I like them, and that's saying something for me when this game is about the only thing I like western related.
Man, the nostalgia is heavy with this. I prefer the 2nd opening personally, set a different mood for the 2nd disc where the story got a bit darker. I miss the hell out of this and golden era RPG's. Only thing I have gripes with was the terrible 3D battle graphics, it was a little jarring going from sprites to that. Still, probably the best out of the series story and character wise. I wish this could get a remake, a good remake that is.
I can still remember a part here where you are going to look for a password and if you're quite a newbie you will never see it. It's the one written on a wall! I just forgot what was written on it already but that quest wasted so much of my time and in the end I found it on that wall! 😄
Bruh these wild arms theme songs is what makes these games. the only wild arms game I played half ways was wild arms 2 I stopped on the water fountain girl. because as a kid, I didn't like reading much lol. But def the theme songs are what makes wild arms special too me 😝
The very reason why those games are "better" (not just because of nostalgia) is because the team working on the game knew their limitations and designed the game around them and most likely pushed the envelope elsewhere. These new RPG's and the companies producing them have much more potential to provide a truly riveting experience than ever before. I think they might have gotten carried away and moved away from what made past RPG's great-and what could make them even better.
I never played this game but would get it for the music and movies alone. I love it. The series (the older ones it seems) surely are inspired somewhat by works of Sergio Leone (recognised a scene from Once Upon A Time In The West) and Ennio Morricone (music, one of the pieces I found lately is almost a direct remake of one of his).
I loved playing wild arms 2 I think the only I found annoying was a puzzle in the spiral tower that(at least in the english version) they didn't give you a usable hint.(even if the anwser was the days of the week it took awhile to figure that out. Though that may have been cause I was only 8 or 9 at the time)
RPG's were all about story due to the limitations of games of the time (30-20 yrs ago). Nowadays, that formula no longer works since gaming technology within the realm of presentation has vastly improved.
It was an ok game, the problem was pretty much nothing happened most of the game, now the sequel to it has alot of potential as the ending to the game was a great twist and the ending set the sequel up as a emotional rollercoaster where things might actually happen
my "personal" ranking on wild arms series (i have played all games, i think): 7. wild arms 4 6. wild arms xf 5. wild arms 3 4. wild arms 3. wild arms alter code: f 2. wild arms 2 1. wild arms 5
15 years later and I still think this is one of the best RPGs I have ever played.
+Michael Preston me too, this and the first one, 2 epic games for any rpg lover.
17 years later... now :D.
This is the game during golden age of JRPG
I agree, 12 years to me
after 20 years yeah i still think this is one of the best RPG not like all those mobile game cash grab today 😥😥
I still think this was the best Wild ARMs. The characterization was just so good. Everyone had a great story, backstory, great moviations great character arcs.
Who ever thought a JRPG with an "Old Western" vibe would be this great?
I tell you this game's director is a freaking genius~! :D
yes
Leongyinam Nam yeah no doubt about it
DAT TRUMPET !
This trumpet isn't played by a human
@@dawidklonowski923 the trumpet player on this is Eric Miyashiro. He's one of the all time greats and probably the top player in Japan.
Damn it brings back the good o'l memories played this game 15yrs ago. And im 30yrs old atm
Im 31 now playing the game again :)))
First Wild Arms game I played as a kid. Great times.
How are you people in the comments even real? I swear, I have such a difficult time finding anybody else who's played this game. D: I can't find anybody who grew up playing the same games that I did
Cleared this game around 2005 to 2007. ;D
finished it like multiple times when I was in my early junior high years (I'm more than twice as old as I was back then now)
Lilka was my favorite character by the way.
Laughed out loud when my little brother (he was in kindergarten back then) naming ashley as ashleyammo when he played it.
To think that 90's gamers are in big time business companies now. And on their perspective...man, they must've had a very good childhood years.
These games have a special place in my heart my friend...
Very good memories indeed.
Played this game and loved it to my very core
best intro music ever!!!!
like spu; ca;ibur 1
I like the Wild Arms 3 intro song but damn....the trumpet in this one gets me every time. This one is my favorite.

I really want Wild Arms to return. Such a unique setting.
God! Wild Arms anime like intro's. The music and scenes almost brings you to tears...
It's 2020 and I'm still waiting on a remake.
Kanon was the most badass RPG character I have seen in a while.
She's one of the most badass period. Still one of my faves alongside Zell Dincht from FF8.
Whenever I would load my file I would ALWAYS watch the intros. It doesn't matter how many times I could watch them but they will never get old.
Oh Lord. The trumpet makes this one of the most memorable intros I've ever seen to this day. I feel in love with brass thanks to this game.
aaaaaah, what a game, got me right in the feels
Ashley Winchester : the most badass baker ever.
My friend had the first one and we played it so much. When the second one came out I got it instantly. Such a good series.
Have to love how powerful that opening shot is.
That trumpet takes me places and I love it. I haven't played wild arms 2 as much as I have the first game but man this gets me hype to jump back in.
I still have it. My brother and I play it.
OMG... This brought me to tears... 😭
One of my early RPG games and was a great one indeed...
So nostalgic.... 😭😭😭
OMG! Brings back my high school memories. I miss this game so much. I haven't finish the game yet, but I definitely will play this game again and finish it.
I can't help but miss the good ol ps1 and ps2 where do where so many rpgs to choose from.
So, have you finished it? XD
Not yet, I'll play it after I'm done with Grandia 2.
Cj Vaans Another great RPG. The battle music is probably among my favorites. Hope you have fun, with both titles.
Yeaaa! that Thrumpet started my journey back then... what a beautiful childhood i have cause i can finish this game and see the epilogue.
Damn so many feels... (Ohh and to anyone who likes this sorta thing I have a COMPLETE Wild Arms 2 LP on my channel which includes all the bonus bosses...)
This was the first Wild Arms game I ever played. I was sucked in forever after that
Looking at this opening I still remember how great all these characters were.
OH YES! this right here is one of the best games that I have played!! The soundtracks are extremely awesome, most importantly the battle with lordblazer--- the remix is GODLY!

Kinda funny that this intro is better than most other anime openings I've seen and you actually get the feeling stuck to you too like Cowboy Bebop.
that just gave me the chills! so many sleepless nights and good memories
Wild Arms 2, Grandia, Breath of Fire IV, Final Fantasy VIII . Games I would never forget.
Just the beginning of the first opening. The way it starts off....Whew LOVE IT!!
this intro makes me cry ;)
Miss games like these....
This game is amazing front to back. They went all out on those intros. Also, Anastasia 😭 what the hell. Definitely my fav character in a game for such little screen time.
Whooo, I never saw the 2nd intro, it is nice indeed. That is how we all imagined the fights were!!!
I loved this game, my childhood :)
The music from the intro to the first Wild Arms is awesome (at least i think so lol).
This game is one of the high points of the Playstation era and in JRPG history.
Anyone else think that these games would make one awesome anime?
After Twilight Venom, ehh.
man I always played the psx rpg´s with my two little brothers too!!!
wild arm 1, 2 & 3 are so awesome!
God they need to remake this one! I love Wild Arms 1, don't get me wrong, but 2 has some really awesome characters. An even better candidate for a remaster. And 3 as well!
Even to this day I still remember that intro.
Thank you for giving me feelings belonging back to my early childhood. It gave me goosebumps :,)
Wild Arms 2 is my 1st and last of the franchise. Of course, this is one my favorite Jrpg's
this game introduced me to turn based RPG's! i can still remember the crazy puzzles in the dungeons for this game!!!
I´ve played all kinds of rpgs from Final fantasy to Skyrim, SMT and many more but this...this game is my favorite rpg, so simple so fun so enjoyable
this was the best rpg on ps1 in my opinion. this will always be one of my top 10 favorites games of all time. i wish they would release a new one for current gen or next gen consoles, but make the fighting like this game, i couldnt get into the other games cuz of how they changed the fighting. it was so different from wat i was used to, it just seemed foreign to me.
game make in 2000 and this animation... awesome!
The first time I transformed into Blazer is the most badass moment I ever seen in a video game.
Game was classic, intro was legendary.
I never played Wild Arms 2. I've only played 1 and 3... I would like to pick this up on my PSN sometime this week :3
One of the best RPG classics hands down.
well its exactly the "one long cut scene" games like final fantasy that will stay in your mind forever. good gameplay is good gameplay, but when you combine good gameplay with an insanely good story that vortexes you in it becomes something more. thts why RPGs are good. the story and scenes from the game remain with you forever
Damn, this brings back memories.
StefansZZ hey there past self
Still one of my favorite games.
I love this game so much.
This is uneliveable emotions !:) really music is so good and friendly, tears just rushing out :)
Wild Arms 2 was my first in the series, Wild Arms 3 I thought was very artistic and managed to convey a lot of emotions, and had a different form of story telling. I loved this game this and number one were my favorites in the series! went downhill at 3 when they changed the systems too much

these intros look so much like regular animes
Remaster Wild Arms 2!
I can still remember a part here where you are going to look for a password and if you're quite a newbie you will never see it. It's the one written on a wall! I just forgot what was written on it already but that quest wasted so much of my time and in the end I found it on that wall! 😄
my first system was Nintendo and Sega so as long as its around that time its cool as long as it either has a great story or game play.
Bruh these wild arms theme songs is what makes these games. the only
wild arms game I played half ways was wild arms 2 I stopped on the water fountain girl. because as a kid, I didn't like reading much lol. But def the theme songs are what makes wild arms special too me 😝
it's as if the whole world paused for this 2 song
my favorite RPG ever, damn i love this game
1 2 3 4 5, t'was Great Game.. Great Puzzles!....
Im still looking forward to the next Part, if Ever.
Oh god I remember this game. So much memories! Fuck that guy in High school who borrowed the game from me and then relocated.
I still play this game every weekend I'm working on tim's skills right now
I would sometimes put disc 2 of Wild Arms 2 into my PS just to listen to the opening song.
The very reason why those games are "better" (not just because of nostalgia) is because the team working on the game knew their limitations and designed the game around them and most likely pushed the envelope elsewhere. I need to finish this game one day lol.
Kikunosuke777 i also have to do that, unluckily my IDIOT brother gave away the old broken ps1 with my memory card
You can buy both Wild Arms 1 and 2 digitally via the Playstation Store
so many feels :D WA series are the best
AMAAAZZINGGGG MUSIC!!!!!! DAT TRUMPET O.o

Yes❣️❣️❣️ the good 😊 old days ❣️
True. Ironic that with more ability to present a story, JRPG devs became less able to deliver one. At least on something like the PS3 and 360.
Ah, my childhood~
Kanon
And for the sequel we have to wait because tranlation takes more time than FC . There is a picture about the scripts
i love wildarms 2 i wish they make a wildarms 6
thanks for the memories
recall my memories
I loved this game
Back in times where game developers cared about their work.
I loved playing wild arms 2 I think the only I found annoying was a puzzle in the spiral tower that(at least in the english version) they didn't give you a usable hint.(even if the anwser was the days of the week it took awhile to figure that out. Though that may have been cause I was only 8 or 9 at the time)
A great game which I haven't finished cuz it makes me sad when good things end. Stopped somewhere on the 2nd cd. Gonna beat it one day.
RPG's were all about story due to the limitations of games of the time (30-20 yrs ago). Nowadays, that formula no longer works since gaming technology within the realm of presentation has vastly improved.
I didnt finish the game but I loved it :( and i dont have a psp2 anymore :( cry
Maybe we will get lucky and a company will buy the rights to this and give it a GOOD remake
my childhood
It was an ok game, the problem was pretty much nothing happened most of the game, now the sequel to it has alot of potential as the ending to the game was a great twist and the ending set the sequel up as a emotional rollercoaster where things might actually happen
i love the wild arms saga but the puzzles did my head in lol good time tho very
my "personal" ranking on wild arms series (i have played all games, i think):
