    Watched the whole thing and I don’t even own this plant. I love the comprehensive care guides! I routinely refer to the white fusion video. Thank you!

      I’m glad they’re getting out there! They used to be so hard to find.

      Do you put Calathea in pon?

      @@SoiledPlant yes. I have in a clear orchid pot inside another vessel and fertilize with Dyna Gro. I have my calatheas, anthuriums, and alocasias in pon.

    i just came across this at the plant store, it was litterally the only one and was hidden on the floor, its healthy and a good medium size with new growth, i ended up getting it for around 16$ so im doing research on it, ive heard its notoriously hard to take care of but me and my green thumb are up for the challenge, its a gorgeous plant and what drew me to it was the front if the leaves i absolutely love it

      What a find! Since getting mine, I haven’t seen them. Hopefully, that means they’re becoming more readily available. Good luck with your find, I’m sure you’ll do great.

    That is a beautiful plant - I have found that I have better luck with a larger well established Calathea than a little starter plant. It is hard to keep them because I have to buy distilled water. Someday I would like to get a water system like you have. I have terrible well water and use a softener so I run my water for my plants thru a gravity filter system (like a Berkey) and that helps a lot.

      Estabilished Calathea definitely do better in my experience, too.

    Hello, my Calathea is blooming at the moment do you have any tips or information on how to pollinate them or what to do to get seeds?

    if a leaf is damaged where should I cut it...it looks like it's a single leaf on its own cluster

    • @SoiledPlant
      @SoiledPlant  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends how it’s damaged. If it’s curling, you can but around the curled part. If the whole leaf isn’t salvageable, cut it at the base of the leaf, but leave the stem.
