Are sprays like pine tar and tiger spray really worth the hassle over something like plain bgs and lizard skin? I know you get a little more grip but is it worth the mess?
At least with wood bats, yes. You still get the solid grip surface without changing the thickness of the handle. Plus when playing every day you run through bats enough But with metal bats, especially if you store them in the house you definitely pick up hair, dust etc. on the tar build up. You can always clean the bat itself with 70% isopropyl alcohol but the Lizard skin might need replaced every once in a while if it got a lot of junk in it

Vulcan bat grips the best
Hockey tape is best. You can use it to make your own taper.
I definitely like adding the taper, do you cover it up with another grip after?
@andrewbats8523 never. I taper with hockey tape and then wrap it twice almost like how a lizard skin wraps. Then Tiger Stick it
Baseballs make a huge difference. I've been hitting with new perfect game baseballs. They are like they go really far.
I'll have to try the hockey tape next time
They definitely do, especially high seam vs low seam the travel difference is pretty crazy
