I’m extremely grateful for this video, but the fact that over 100,000 people thus far had to look this up to find out how to deposit cash into their capital one accounts is just so crazy to me.
I just did this for the first time and of course it is a little nerve wracking thinking it may not work. It was very simple and it was added to my account in under a minute. I'm super impressed with this feature. I'm loving it so far.
If Capitol One allowed cash deposits at the ATM they would be on top of every bank🤷🏾♂️

Really inconvenient for those of us who don’t really live near a CVS. It would be more convenient to just be able to add cash from an Allpoint ATM.
I did the deposit transaction at CVS, thankfully it went well. It would be best to deposit at an ATM like before at Target.. Come on Capital One, y’all can do way better we are going to 2024 😅
I'm so negatively disappointed to learn that Target is no longer part of the system. Ridiculous, just plain ridiculous (especially considering how often CVS ATMs are not working).
Not having the ability to deposit cash directly into an ATM is the biggest drawback to Capital One banking in my opinion. It's very annoying. Considering switching banks level annoying.

I have been on the phone for well over ONE EFFING HOUR, trying to find out how to deposit $800.00 in cash into my Capital One account. I have been a LOYAL account holder since the days of ING Direct. I never DID get help from the uneducated rep who was supposed there TO assist me.
Well after all that time, and in both anger and tears, I DEMANDED to speak with a supervisor. After I calmed down enough to apologize to HER, I had success - but it sure isn't an easy solution, and it involved a great deal of assistance to get set up. I've yet to make the attempt she taught me - with the help of now HAVING to use my mobile phone (when I normally do everything on their online website), because I'm exhausted and greatly disappointed.
They used to be such a great bank. Now they don't want to deal with in-person transactions. Forget about cashier's checks - that feature left when they closed all the branches in Austin, TX.
Getting rid of the CapitalOne ATMs at Target was incredibly stupid. 🙄

This is a great feature however, I wish the daily limit were higher. Suggestion, Cap 1 you should consider cash deposits at AllPoint ATMs. That would be more convenient. I live in Hawaii and would like more options to add cash. Yes I can transfer from bank to bank But if I’m going to make Capital One my primary bank it needs to be more convenient.
Agree also depositing checks should be allowed as well because trying to add a check with the app online is challenging when they can’t view the information on the check from the uploaded photo because it may not be clear to them or information is not all captured with the limited photo view very frustrating

@@LatinaslolNo, it's not: back when Allpoint had a contract with C1, the limit was ~$4,999/$5,000 at the ATM.
This arbitrarily lower limit is forcing me to go back to CVS rather than it being a one & done ordeal, so, yeah, I'd have to reject your "be patient" plea.
It sounds kind of like a 90's feature - having to hand cash over to a clerk rather than simply conducting your business at the ATM.
Unfortunately those atms don't belong to capital one

90s feature is still trying to put money into an atm to pay your bills.
Glad I found this option, there was a location 2 blocks from my house, then it closed, but they put an ATM in the Target 2 blocks from my house, then they took out the Capital one ATM and put and Allpoints, and now the closest location is all the way across town, luckily there is a CVS a half a mile from me or I would have to swap banks, I went with Capital One because of the no hassle account but it started to become a hassle!
not able to deposit cash at the now converted Allpoint & Money Pass ATMs is a pain. The original Capital One ATMs were just fine. The CVS cashier option would have been a great addition to the ATMs. Not taking the ATMs away. lol. For me it was much simpler with just the ATMs 😕

Gotta love how they recently added Walgreens as an option and when I went it just didn’t work. Really need them to open an atm or branch near me.
I love capital one debit card but having to pay at a store is very 90's. This is 2023 we would love to be able to deposit money into an ATM for our cards. I know you would have to own the Atm for it to work but it would be easier

Why can't the Allpoint+ ATMs be used? They DO accept cash deposits, but not for C1 accounts.

When does the month reset for the five deposit limit? Is that per calendar month, like there's five in January, five in February, etc? Or is it a rolling month like if you put the first one in on January 18th, that won't reset until February 18th? I've been looking for this online and I cannot find it, I really do not want to have to call. Please and thank you.

Why get rid of cash deposits at ATMs?? I don’t feel like waiting in line at a slow CVS to get up to the counter to have an employee tell me they don’t know what I am talking about. Then have them yelling across the store to each other that I have all this cash 😮 fantastic 🤬

I would like clarification on the "5 transactions a month" part. So the limit for CVS deposits is $999 a day, 5 transactions a month. What does that mean? I can only use CVS to deposit money a month?
999 is the amount your allowed Per day and you are allowed to make 5 transactions (any amount up to 999$) per month
If it limits to $999 per day, maximum of only 5 transactions per month, how does that compute to the maximum amount allowed to deposit per month of $7,999? Five deposits of $999 per day only equal $4,995. How do you get the other $3k cash into your account for the month?

is this feature available thru self checkout because the cashiers at my cvs don't know how to do this, they always have to get a manager and even THEY act like they've never heard of doing this and they also look at you like your a drug dealer, why are you depositing cash here instead of at your bank, because capital one doesn't have branches its an ONLINE BANK!

I tried this at cvs. Thr cashier scanned my phone app. I gavr her 999 dollars & now 3 dsys later i am still waiting. I have a receipt. But i received nothing from the app

I'd like to be able to make a payment on my Capital One Quicksilver credit card via ATM. I have always paid online, have been a Capital One customer for over a decade, never missed a payment, but I want to make a single payment via ATM. Is this possible? I live in New Hampshire. A few things to keep in mind, when you visit the ATM, you will insert your Capital One credit card and select the Make a Payment option. You should insert exact amount, change is not provided. @@truthteller449That barcode is only good for 30 minutes, so whatever deposit you’re trying to make, it needs to be done within those 30 minutes. The barcode expires 30 minutes.
So basically you cannot add cash into your savings in a cvs store. unless you open a checking also.

literally had the worst experience today when depositing at my local walgreens when first they asked for id ok strange but ok no problem then i tried doing $955 when $999 is the max in the app. i was then told by the manager $500 was the max so i did that then tried doing a subsequent transaction for the remainder and they acted dumb like well your gonna have to ask the manager bc $500 is the max so like why can’t i just deposit my money without a hassle like cmon now.
I experienced this scenario at Walgreens today. The maximum deposit amount is a 500 at Walgreens. If you go to CVS, they will gladly load $999 without question.

One more joke by Capital One. They're no longer a bank. Who banks at CVS? I don't even know why they stay in business anymore. There's nothing convenient about this. If they're looking to make everything so modern and convenient. They've taken a giant step backwards. Convenience is driving up to a ATM and not having to get out of my car. It is certainly not going in to some random CVS or Cafe as they call it to do my banking business. Time for a new bank that actually functions in 2022.

I am absolutely disgusted that this bank would send my abusers a “$200 dollar quicksilver card” offer in the mail ALONG with my debit card that was mailed to me when I never put my abuser’s name into anything when I opened my account. Explain to me how this bank got the name of one of my abusers when I never put their name into anything when I opened my account. I wish Discover was still accepting customers because then I wouldn’t have had to deal with this. Ridiculous.
