Unfortunately in CapCut no way! Zooming is going to reduce quality. Only way to have good quality video in vertical format is to have 4K or 2K video in horizontal. So depending upon your zoom, you can still have something around 1080p or 720p quality video. FFmpeg is free utility (I think app also available for Android), where you put come command line. You can search command line for this particular use case. Or there are some online converters which allow free conversion without watermark for limited time videos.

Tiktok, Insta reels, TH-cam shorts are all vertical video platforms. They have been created for mobile/smartphone experience. So they have particular aspect ratios for videos. And if that aspect ratio requirement is not met then those platforms choose automatically best suited format which is vertical.

Unfortunately not! Only way is to rotate the horizontal video 90° so that it covers whole mobile screen for social platforms with vertical video format such as insta or TikTok. But then user has to also rotate the phone to view the content.

If you crop or zoom video, there is no way to avoid loss of quality. There are 2 solutions:
1. Record videos always in 4K. So when you crop or zoom, quality will reduce to either 2K or 1080p resolution depending on amount of crop or zoom.
2. Use AI video quality enhancer which might be a paid tool or software.

After you import vertical video, you can go to Format and then click on 16:9 button to make it horizontal. To fill empty space you can use similar technique like you saw in this tutorial. Or you can watch another tutorial in which you split
