When I do it there is a rectangle that is blurred in the background but it doesnt shrink when i make the rectangle blur smalledr it just stays in the background. Help!
Please try using the invert mask button if you want the inside of the rectangle to be blurred. Please use keyframes if you want to change the size of the blur.
when I do splice, everything is blured both main frame at overlay
@andrewvillarvlog6762 Select blur effect layer and then at bottom you will see options. Click on object and there you can select for which video you want blur to be applied. Select overlay video. Next step you select overlay video and then apply mask to blur only masked area so that other area see normal.

I have just found that I can not export the movie in CapCut in free anymore
Try VITA or InShot app.
@@Mr.Tutorials It was working for me til last week without pro signs. It is sad but I still can use it with less filters or transitions.
@hiszekegyhazaban Yes, you still can use CapCut if you limit to tools or options that are free.

when I add blur, I have it on all videos, not just the main one
You need to select effect and then find the object button, and then you can select for which video you want to apply. To control for how long you want it, you need to trim that effect or video. Then, remove the effect from that trimmed video where you don't want it.

Wow so glad I came across your video otherwise I wouldn't have known about VITA video editor. Getting fedup with Capcut for moving features that were free previously to premium features now. The one I needed the most is the cutout or Background remover feature. Thanks for making this video and hopefully you can make a tutorial or more in depth review on VITA app

You should trim the overlay video where you apply blur effect at desired locations. Then, in between parts where you don't need blur, just delete that trimmed video.

I tried to save but it keeps loading forever
This needs an internet connection, as I mentioned in my tutorial. So please make sure you have a good internet connection with data availability. Also, if your video is longer, then it might take more time. As you can see, my video was only 8 seconds long, but it still needs more time for processing the video.

How do you do this on the desktop version of capcut? I can't find the filmstrip option.
@KINGBOSS08-mmk On the desktop version, select a video, then top right you have a "Video" tab near to "Audio." Under "Video", please select the "Mask" tab, and inside it, select "Mirror" mask. In the desktop version, it is called Mirror and not Filmstrip anymore.
