Did you know that Gmail allows you to make certain modifications to your address that gives you access to unlimited email addresses for a single account? It's true.
For example, you can put a period anywhere before the "@" symbol and it will still get delivered to the same inbox.
Likewise, you can add a "+" sign before the "@" symbol with any additional text and this will also get delivered to the same inbox.
If it doesn't quite make sense, watch the video for a more clear explanation.
The fun part comes when you create rules and filters within Gmail to organize these new email addresses and use it to take control of your inbox. The possibilities are as endless as the email addresses you can create!

I currently have about 10 email accounts one for each profession I had created through the past 40 years, are you saying that now I don’t have to do that? Per your video here and examples, I take it I would just have to create these subfolder emails within those email addresses I already created, using a dot or a plus symbol in the first part of the email address before the @symbol🤷🏻♀️ correct?… so I’m not technically creating and registering a new email address altogether, I’m just telling Google I’ve created a different kind of folder And forward my mail to it, is that correct?
i couldnt get verification to work on a website so when i tried test-emailing, it keeps saying this:
" *Address not found*
*Your message wasn't delivered to (email name here) because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail.* "

This is a great video, so easy to understand. I want to create a few unique emails using this method for members of a small group that share a single google account and gmail. I was able to create the unique emails and tested them, they work great.
BUT, I was hoping I could create a filter with an automatic forward for each "unique email" I created to forward to their personal email.
Do you know if this is possible?
I tried but it doesn't seem to work, each time I create a filter/with automatic forward with an unique email, it replaces the previous filter?

you have to have multiple phone numbers after a certain number of emails

That is a good tip, but I believe that only works with some old websites, because most of the websites I've seen identify an email in that format as an invalid email, so they don't want to have people making accounts on their websites using that kind of email.

Thanks for this video - it's perfect. However I have created this on behalf of a friend (logging in as them). When I log in I can see the inbox folders to the left of the screen - but he can't! Any ideas on how he can view the inboxes?

I don't think the + works anymore. Says you can only use letters, numbers, and a peroid
Think it's not possible anymore. Even when I check the "treat as alias option" I can not create an alias. I can only link existing mail accounts

No, they are not treated as different accounts as far as Google services are concerned.

I guess I can't guarantee that 100%. I wouldn't use these extra addresses as permanent addresses. The real purpose is to allow you to filter easier.

Having 1,000 gmail accounts is different than creating 1,000 email addresses (which is what this video is about). I don't recommend or see any good reason beyond spam that you would need 1,000 separate Gmail accounts.

No it’s just a filtering system

That's the beauty of it - you just start using it. No need to "create" it. You can test the process by having a friend email you using the "+" or the "." and it should arrive in your inbox.

It’s all the same account, it’s just different ways to write the email address that you can filter within your email inbox.

I've created a unique email address in my same google account but now as i sign in my google account on another device how can i get that email address because it is only showing me the mails from the primary email address
All emails within a particular inbox should appear on every device signed into that account.

If you have Gmail, you already have the ability to do what I just showed in this video.
So aliases are nice but they leak your address, they aren't real addresses. So you are still just as susceptible for spam and phishing as always. Enveloperty is the only system that lets users have infinite unique full email addresses because of the way they change the architecture. It integrates right into gmail and outlook. It absolutely changed how I email for the better. Does all of the whitelisting mentioned in the video but much much more.

That's a good point, David. I didn't mean to imply that these aliases are in any way a cloaking mechanism for your email address. It's not mean to fix phishing issues, but it can help a bit with spam.

In short, Enveloperty is built to fix phishing and be a cloaking device of sorts.
Aliases can isolate contacts to specific addresses creating a relationship between the two. Enveloperty adds context to that relationship, so it is easy to catch phishing. Except instead of aliases they are fully authentic addresses all in one client. Like a password manager for email addresses.
As well as pulling important info out of the headers and all the benefits aliases come with. Totally reshaped how I view email. Does that make sense?

That's true, but it matters who hosts that domain. Google still limits how many aliases one user can have.
