If the chicken is too dry, you just gotta rub the chicken for a little bit. Maybe put on some Marvin Gaye, light some scented candles and tell it how much you want it.
When I’ve made this for friends I find that sometimes it’s best to give light but firm tapping around on outer edges of the chicken with a few fingers. It really brings out the moisture from within.
Yes…you are a true chef. Moisture is everything. If that doesn’t do it move to the backside of the dish and apply a light dusting of mushroom tips to the meal. Once that’s applied flip it over and continue to baste the top. You will find that it is delicious and everyone is satisfied.
I'm glad we are finally being taught how to cook with 42kgs of butter. I never knew you could use chicken breasts as seasoning. Godspeed to all who cook and eat this.
I made this recipe tonight for my wife as a surprise, she was blown away. The only change I made was I added some Worcestershire to the sauce, and it was awesome, thank you for an awesome easy recipe, delish!!!
You don't need all that butter for a juicy chicken breast. That's rediculous waste of butter lol He used practically a half a bar of butter. It's drenched in butter. Way too much. It just needs to be cooked at the exact temp of 165 on the dot if you can and under nothing over 175. It will be juicy always at 165 temp
Looks like a good way to have a heart attack to me. Butter, really. Good luck with this. I know it will taste good, most things that are unhealthy taste good. 74 and healthy with normal blood pressure and no medications. Los Angeles Veteran and Patriot
All jokes aside, this is probably the most relaxing cooking video I have ever watched. I kind of need a nap after watching it. For a couple of reasons.
The chicken becomes dry if cooked for too long at a temperature of 180 degrees for 20 minutes. To avoid this, use a thermometer to gauge the core temperature and cook until it reaches 68 degrees. After that, cover the chicken with aluminum foil and let it rest for 10 minutes to allow the core temperature to reach at least 70 degrees. This will keep the chicken moist and flavorful.
all the ingredients and logic behind the dish is there, its the execution that was a little shotty, i think the biggest factor leading to it looking so dry is he partially steamed it, and initially cooked it on a medium. that meat needed a deep sear on both sides to start in order to seal in the juices. like i said poor execution, dish was probably a 6/10. could take it to and 8/10 just buy doing a few things slightly different.
Hi, I cooked this recipe today, I used shallots instead of onion, delicious. My new favorite recipe to prepare the chicken breast, it was not dry. Thank you.
So the potatoes are the star of the show? Looks great…and I’m a pescatarian. My family would love it. Will be in the rotation this week. Thank you for the video.
This is True German cooking, meat potatoes and Onions, fried in Butter! I have a variant of this kind of meal where the chicken is cooked separately from the potatoes in a soy sauce, Honey and Garlic mixture and after fully cooking the juices of the Chicken has mixed with the sauce mixture it is then used as a topping for the potatoes or instead of potatoes Rice can be cooked instead and the sauce is ideal for the rice. Fantastic meal! thanks for sharing!
I agree, with all the sauce and such I figured it would be juicy. I'd just add the paste to the chicken a few minutes before removing from original cooking. Dry chicken sucks.
All you all on here saying oh it’s dry. I bet y’all couldn’t do it better! That dish looked freaking amazing!!! I’d love to try it! Especially the potatoes and onions !
I tried cooking this recipe, and not only was it very easy to follow the instructions thanks to the well-done video, it came out very tasty! I will definitely make it again. Just one note. After adding the chicken breasts back to the pan and letting them sit under the lid while I was making the sauce, they were already cooked through by the time the sauce was ready. I think if I had baked it for another 20 minutes, the chicken would have become overcooked and dry. Plus, this way I didn't need to use the oven at all.
I was on my phone when the video began and didn’t look at the screen until just after the 3rd piece was cut… oh my! I’ll tell you one thing - I’m never going to look at boneless/skinless chicken breasts the same way again. 😮
Looks delicious; sans the onions...: )...Not a fan of them...But; Some rice or couscous when they come out of the cast iron pan would be delightful! :)...You're an amazing cook and you can tell you cook with love...:)...That's the main ingredient in the most delicious of foods!

I made this tonight. Overall, it wasn't too much effort and minimal cleanup. A few comments: 1. written text in video calls for tomato paste but should read tomato sauce (which is what it looks like). I understand different countries use different terminology. I used tomato paste and it was too thick and too complex flavorwise. 2. Five minutes in skillet first side and 3 minutes next side then rested for approximately 7 minutes while I cooked the potato/onion bed. I also deglaze the pan with a bit of chicken broth to get the bits incorporated back into the potatoes. I should also have added salt & pepper to the potato/garlic bed but forgot. 3. 15 minutes in oven at 350 and the chicken was up to 155 for the largest piece to 165 for the smallest. 4. I used smoked paprika because I had some and just love the extra depth it gives to meat. 5. To reduce butter usage, start the pan with olive oil and a small bit of butter. Next time I will cream the herbs into the butter and smooth it over the chicken. Conclusion: good standby comfort recipe for a casual home meal that is hearty but not overly seasoned.
Defiantly agree! Should be tomato sauce not paste. Made this tonight was decently nice but paste was too thick for the glaze. Would probably perforate the chicken as well next time to help incorporate some flavors deeper into the chicken. Very nice recipe though.
My brain is seeing something besides chicken, but I'm not right, so if you don't see it then you're normal.
I'm not right in the head today...
You aren’t the only one 😅

American Pie all over again with Chicken and butter topping! 🤪 the dish looks wonderful😋

😂 the only thing I saw was butter. I felt my heart palpatate while watching this.
Looks very tasty my concern would be that the chicken would be very dry by this point?
Seems to me I’ve eaten something that looks like that before 😜😜😜
🤪😜😝
I was wondering who would be the first.

So.... That's how they make the business end of a Fleshlight..

Perfectly shaved chicken!…my favorite!
This recipe should be called:
"Butter with a Splash of Chicken"
Looks delicious though 😊
Imagine that, chicken cooked in butter with butter inside tastes good. Who would have thought.
Butter is good for ya 🧈
Looks wonderful. I want it now but am allergic to tomatoes. Suggestions very welcome
Never saw a tablespoon in America that huge, I guess ours are normal sized.
Spoiler alert.
You have permission to change the ingredients as you see fit.
Vulvalicious! The sauce at the end had me cracking up.

I was thinking I'd likely do the same!
A little Worcestershire sounds good. Also, will put less butter in.
I will be trying this recipe
Oh, i’ve eaten this before and it was not chicken. It was delicious tho!
You said what others were thinking! 😂 😂 😂

I tried it last night and all I can say, it is delicious. My wife and daughter also loved it. Not dry at all. I guess all that butter did the trick.
I’m trying this for dinner tomorrow.

If that's a tablespoon of butter sign me up. 😋 Looks much more like 1/4 lb stick cut into thirds! The finished product looks delish, btw.

Dinner tomorrow, cannot wait. My husband will love this dish
Yes he will
Looks good / concerned about it being dry however with the baking for an add'l 20min at 356 degrees.
You could bake the potatoes for 10 min, then add the chicken and bake another 10.
Looks so good
I've often eaten butter this way but I usually leave out the salt and pepper. My wife says that itches.
Oh yeah! Delicious! It's most certainly there!

Ahh yes, poultria majora just like Dad used to make.
No. Dad used to dive into it. Lol
Looks like fish tacos to me. 🤤
I really enjoyed watching this. The music and camera work is pretty good. I felt chilled out
Add some olive oil to the skillet to prevent the butter from burning.
I just made this tonight. Made it with 6 tablespoons of butter. That's 2 tbsp of butter per serving. Was delicious.👍
ANYTHING is good with 2 Tbs of butter!😅😉

The first part of this statement is in error. Olive oil has a higher smoke point than butter. I don't know about the second part.@@Bluebell117
