People watching, street musicians, appreciation of old architecture and quiet moments in churches, nature. You're speaking my language. This is Beautiful!!
As an elder, I choose to live in the city because it gives me easy access to the health services that I require at this time of my life. The city of Reno is not large, but it includes several large parks including an arboretum and a rose garden. Perhaps my favorite walk is along the Truckee River in the Riverside section of the city. In addition, we have an impressive library system and a small but mighty art museum. I'm glad to live in the city with all its resources. ❤
Those are wonderful tips, especially since an introvert like me can sometimes become overwhelmed by the crowds, noises, and frantic pace of the city. I too enjoy the buildings, the large city parks, museums, and people-watching, but then I need to withdraw to a quiet place within or without. Your tips broaden my choices. Thanks Connie.
I think I have seen every video and I love your channel and everything you do. I have learned a lot from how you live your life. I did see a comment about the ducks and bread and I know about that too I used to give them bread all the time. I wanted to share this with you or anyone else that isn’t aware Thank you for sharing your life 😀 People also ask Can ducks eat bread? DON'T: Feed ducks bread or junk food. Foods like bread and crackers have no nutritional value to ducks and can cause malnutrition and painful deformities if consumed too much. DO: Feed ducks cracked corn, oats, rice, birdseed, frozen peas, chopped lettuce, or sliced grapes.
Yes, bread and other processed foods are not good for ducks, eels and fish even though they love them. When you feed animals these foods it also fouls the water and upsets the natural ecosystems.
Hi Connie, what a beautiful Video, I think you may be in Germany!!...the lovely clock tower & the lovely buildings!!..so happy you could take us into that beautiful Church, so peaceful & a sense of Spirit just lovely!!!!..I love different cities & as you say they all have their own stunning parklands to escape for a while!!!..I hope you enjoy visiting your daughter hope she is happy to see her mum & dad too!!!!...glad you are enjoying the europian summer, I am in winter over here in Australia now its been really chilly with lots of rain, but, as you would know each season has its own beauty!!!..so look forward to your next video Connie..thanks for taking us on your incredible lifestyle!!!..from Margaret...South Australia by the chilly beach at the moment!!
I love old buildings and love visiting old churches. We have many here in the UK.I am not religious but just love absorbing the peaceful atmosphere. I find busy cities much too draining of my energy. I prefer walking in the woods and absorbing everything Nature offers. Thank you Connie for another lovely video.
Just got home from a 10 hour workday in a major city…just saw your video and had to watch! I feel my blood pressure already lowering and my breathing slow down, and there is calmness in the air. Your videos are therapy I swear! Safe travels and Enjoy Germany!!
Thank you so much Connie! I really appreciate your videos. Munich is beautiful I visited many times. You should come up to Münster near the Netherlands or Hamburg. They’re also very nice cities here in Germany. I am person who lives between two countries, Australia and Germany. Therefore I became a minimalist and love/enjoy a simple life! 😊
This was a beautiful reminder to stop, look, listen and breathe...no matter where we are, and especially when feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Thank you Connie! 😊❤
Thank You So Very Much for going places, I may never go to. It is Wonderful to see. I was born in Augsburg, Germany, but never been able to go there.. Thank You again. Was a baby when came to America. My Dad was in the Army.
Absolutely ! I am moving to TN and being in nature was more important than the house... I love the trees and marvel at their beauty, peaceful energy, wherever I am, north, south, etc. that is what sustains me. My second love , like you, is architecture, beautiful museums, and cathedrals. We love discovering, new cities and towns as well. Thank you for your beautiful, insightful video! We are moving from VA to TN and starting a new adventure in our senior years. 🥰 Happy trails to you & your hubs on yours...🥰 ❤️🕊🙏
Mary, that's awesome!! How did you decide in Tennessee? We are prayerfully considering moving from Illinois, trouble is where to?? How did you decide? Thank you kindly for your answer
My partner is from Johnson City and went to East TN State University there. He retired from VCU in Richmond and was going back when he met me! He stayed for 12 more yrs for me but now wants to go back home where he has family. That was the deciding factor. I had been from NY and spent 20 yrs in FL before moving to VA with my girls & their families after my husband passed. So another adventure awaits❣️ We are packed, (whew), and moving tomorrow!
Hi Connie, I've enjoyed the true tips you've shared today as well❤ As a matter of fact, I've actually came across minimalism and simple living while living in one of the busiest cities in the world, Tokyo! We lived there for 10 years on and off and that time taught me so much about simplicity Also, as a wife to a musician, I loved how you took the time to notice the gentleman playing in the square❤
It's nice that you are back in Munich. I live here on the outskirts where it is much greener and quieter. Munich is really a wonderful city with great spots.
Beautiful and some memories as we lived in Germany when I was younger. And lol I find myself looking at your clothes thinking okay I don’t remember that, how does she do it. Love this! Thanks
I can relate about the sense of calm in the old church. I too am not of one religion but in europe It is so hard not to feel the calm in those spaces! I hope they let you light a candle. Namaste
My son lives in this same city so it is a joy to watch your video and know that you wander around, observing, listening, attending and enjoying. Thanks for sharing.
I usually watch your video within a day or two of you releasing it, I didn’t get a chance to, and I’m so very glad because I needed your video today! Thank you ❤
I'll be in Munich in August as part of a family trip to Germany and Italy. I expect it to be busy everywhere and had already started thinking about how to stay "grounded" amid all the hustle of travel. Thank you for the lovely video on this very topic ❤
I love seeing your new location in every video. The church was majestic. It looked lovely cool amongst the marble, and huge ceiling. Enjoy your travels.❤
Hello Connie! Thank you for this wonderful video. I live in a city and I am absolutely desperate to move to the countryside, but when I get anxious about when I am going to leave the city, I simply take a moment and realize that I am letting my life pass me by while waiting for this desire to one day come, or possibly never come. You are right when you say that there are some things that you can only get in a city. I live in New York, and there is a lot here that you cant really get anywhere else, so while I wait for my possible oasis to come to me someday, I simply take a moment to notice the beautiful surroundings around me while I am here because who knows. One day I might leave and regret not being more present while I lived in the city.
Thank you for posting this. I truly appreciate your sentiments about NY both the city & the whole state and feel you on a deep level. 💓 The most important part of the takeaway is to make the most in the moment where you are along with envisioning a future. 💖 Thank you! 💖
I never added, thank you Connie for the reminder of the beauty in this city, I too love the church you happened to show, and thank you for the moments of peace felt there I was reminded of as I watched you. Have a beautiful day
What a great video!! Thanks for these tips!! I, too, love nature and find that so relaxing, but, like you said here, IF WE TRY, we can find some beauty and peace anywhere we look!! Thanks!! I needed this today! God bless you!! ❤🤗🤗🙏🙏🙏
Hi Connie. Your vlog was full of great tips and reminders as well as beautiful scenes of Munich, where my brother and his family have been living for many years. I enjoyed reminiscing about walking through those parks and in the Marienplatz. I spent my time there alternating between slow and rushing about but next time I travel I will recall this video and your calming voice reminding me to slow down and take it all in. Thank you 🕊💌
If you travel to the Black forest in germany...I will help you to find the Best places. I live near baden baden. Beautiful City. . But Green and full of positiv energie. Maybe we can Drink a Coffee together😉
Wonderful, you visited the Bavarian capital Munich. May be you will also come to Berlin - greenest capital of europe - you will find lots of parks and little places, especially in the city center when you leave the area of the Beandenburger Tor and Unter den Linden and stroll in the small streets or along the River passing Museums Insel up to Prenzlauer Berg. The eastern part of Berlin-Mitte is so much more interesting because it is so different to the western part. Enjoy your trip through germany ;-)
Ducks should not be fed. The bread makes their stomachs swell and bread contains too much salt or sugar. Ducks also lose their fear of humans through feeding. This can quickly become dangerous for the animals, which can be killed in accidents on the road or by dogs.
I'm a musician. It's precious to me to hear someone saying "I'm lucky to hear the music". That's great. Thank you for saying that.
Oh my god. What a surprise! You have been in Munich, the city where I live. I liked it very much to see it with your eyes.
People watching, street musicians, appreciation of old architecture and quiet moments in churches, nature. You're speaking my language. This is Beautiful!!
I've learned when u have chaos and movement around u be still within😊
I indeed love your calming videos as well. Please remember to feed the ducks with seeds, as bread is very bad on their digestive system. Thank you.
