Hey GASH! I did my first box of nickels today, was surprised to actually find a 1943P war nickel. Most rolls were 2023 but ended up with 18 nickels from the 40s and 50s. Still finding W quarters and a few silver halves although they seem to be getting harder to find.
I remember my second ever hunt, I picked up live $20 in customer nickels, I found a 1937 with no mint mark. Edit: The 1937 for me had like a very flat date, like someone pressed it down.
Great video! Now I’m going to have to start searching nickel rolls. My local banker to me all the boxes they have already been searched. Humm … good week everyone!
I also live in GA but I am having a difficult time with my banks being willing to order me boxes of coins. In fact, one branch manager said that this particular bank company was told that they can “no longer order coins for customers” - do you know of some banks that are more coin friendly? More willing to order coins for customers?
My experience is that it is branch specific. I have like 10 Wells Fargo within 10 minutes of my house. Some will give me coin. Some will not. Some will give me boxes. Some will not. I have 5/3rd bank branches that will order for me. Some will not. Its really hit or miss. If you are at a branch that won't work with you... move on.
I enjoy your channel. I’m in Canada and just opened two rolls of nickels from my bank that the teller said was a collection dump and she sold them to me for face value. There was three US nickels in the lot and one was a really nice buffalo nickel from 1937. It’s in nicer condition then the one in this video and has a D below the Five Cents below the buffalo. Does this have much value?
GA, you make your hunts so fun. That Buffalo nickel was in surprisingly great shape! Oh, and I got my GA Silverhunter sticker in the mail recently. Thank you so much for sending! Sincere Regards, Christos K Cleveland, OH
If by slug you mean random crap and coins yes. If you mean blank planchet. I have found one or two. If you mean washers from Home Depot… yes I have found those too. 🙂
29th 👍 Nice hunt GA! That 2nd was definitely a beauty. I think that was the same year as one of my coinstar finds. I'll have to rewatch my video. i don't even remember, lol😂😅
I have picked up a small batch of customer rolls that had no copper before. I have also gotten plenty of boxes of all brand new coin so that would not have copper. I have never picked up a circulated box that was void of silver.
Nice hunt 👍👍❤️
Thanks 👍
That was fun. Great video
Thanks Jeff!
Enjoyed your video 😊 can't wait to see more, thanks
Thanks for watching!
I’ve sold three rolls of the 2009-D for $25 each just last month. Circulated from roll hunting, at that!
Will need to keep that in mind. Mine are always pretty chewed up though.
Very nice! Did a nickel hunt this past weekend as well. Best find was 1950 Philly (10M) but no buffalos or V's.
That’s a lot of my hunts. Buffalos are tough to come by and I have only ever found 1 V nickel in crh.

War nickels are great. I don't find as many as I would like... thats for sure.
Great hunt. Buffalos are always an exciting find.
Good hunt on $40, well done, thanks!
I thought it worked out for so few rolls.
BTW.. I've been sharing your channel with everyone at my credit union(s)....So far 16 have subscribed! Hope it helps!
That's Awesome! Thanks! Love the pictures of my sticker on the coin machine!
Awesome finding the buffalo! They've been really elusive for me lately, ugh.
I had one huge score in customer rolls 4 years ago and since then I find maybe 1-2 every 5 boxes or so. They are tough for met o find as well.
Tried doing one of these recently and it was brutal.. found some nice higher grade modern nickels, but no luck on any silver war nickels.
War nickels for me are pretty tough. For awhile I was getting like 1 per box. Then I went like 10 boxes until my next one.
customer rolls are thr best!
Usually they are.
Congratulations finding buffalo nickels. Nice video.
Thanks!

could have just been worn flat.

You should try and get fed rolls.

nice nickel hunt! Buffalos were very cool!
Thanks DJR! How have your hunts been going. Haven't heard from you in a while.

The D mint mark is definitely more rare and worth more in higher grades than the Philly. Nice find all the way up in Canada! 🇨🇦
Congratulations on finding 2 Buffalo nickels and other finds thanks for sharing GA silver hunter
Thanks!

Awesome! You’re welcome.
Do you ever find slugs in the customer wrapped coins?

Yeah the 37 is probably one of the easiest to find in high grade.
Good hunt! BUFFALO! Thank you!
where do you get one of those albums?
The Whitman album came from Amazon. Wizard coin supply will have them too.
My dad was the first person to say that to me
There is also a die chip that occurs between the E and R on Liberty on the more modern nickels
It looks like someone got their collection dumped.
Beans
Nice hunt.Give it a few years everyone will be hunting the 1960s nickels, lol.
got a box of pennies from a bank that had no coppers at all ...have you ran into that befor?
