Right way to use Water Flosser.

- Using Water flosser the right is very important to avoid injuries to the gums.
You should keep the tip in complete contact with teeth with special focus in between two teeth.
Keep moving the flosser when it still in contact with the teeth.
Do not point it towards the gums and do not keep it away from the teeth.
Keep your open over the basin so that the water can easily flow out otherwise you will keep on spitting again and again and it becomes difficult to hold water in the mouth while using the flosser.

You can use the on/off switch as per need. Either keep your mouth open bending over the basin or keep your lips closed while using the flosser and intermittently spitting and using the flosser. Happy flossing

I used it wrong. I just started blasting and it immediately started hurting my gums. Quickly went on TH-cam to find a tutorial

Mine stopped charging. Taking the reservoir out rinsing, soaking with white vinegar fixed it. They have a 2 years factory warranty

The instructions from WaterPik specifically tell you to aim the water at the gum line.
Pressure is strong enough to hurt your gums. Gum line and directly hitting the gums are two different things.🙂

Hello doc i have very sensitive gum and 3 days ago i had dental bridge for 4 front teeth but when i asked my dentist about water floss and string floss about to do where my dental bridge is situated she said no you should not do floss where your dental bridge i don't know im still skeptical what to do please doc help me out.
Prosthesis like crowns and bridges always attract more plaque. You should always use water flosser if you have crowns, bridges or implants.

Hi I think I used it the wrong way I just got mine today and I put it in the highest pressure now I have a small cut on my gum it was bleeding a little bit do you think it will heal?
Yes, it will heal. Try not to use the flosser for near that area for 2-3 days.

Almost all brands are good. Just check for a good warranty and service in your area.

I only have a problem with the bottom row inside of the teeth. The tip is not well designed for the purpose. I was I could buy a hook shaped tip.

I have a portable one and the instructions say to hold it upright. This means I cannot do the inside of the bottom teeth.

No. It cannot remove tartar. For that you need to visit a dentist.
For gum recession, Clinical examination is must.
Dental Implants are only fixed. There is nothing called as Removable Implants. 😊

Hello doctor, my grandmother had her basal implant 3 days ago, she is slowly able to chew and the dentist told her to floss. I am afraid she might hurt her gums since she is not comfortable with that yet, is it okay if she uses the flosser after a week?
Hi. She can start at least after 10 to 15 days, depending on the healing. Till then ask her to do warm saline rinses post meals.

@arsynnnpooh3807 cavity prevention takes a lot of effort, which includes your diet, lifestyle, oral hygiene habits, hydration, etc. But yes, the use of mouthwash also plays a vital role. But, if you already have cavities, you need to see a dentist.
