I would thank you, promoting Ireland and the tin whistle, you play an excellent version of the galway girl you should be very proud of yourself. a big thank you from all of us herin ireland..
Since one year, I am following music on TH-cam and at the same time playing parts of the melody on tin whistle. Like this I learn it. It is great to hear Irish music now, the original music where it was designed for. It´s a happy song !
Ariana is my favorite since returning from Ireland and looking for someone to whom I could relate with my new tin whistle a few years ago. Outstanding talent with a great smile.💗
Hey everyone!! I got this whistle on christmas and uploaded this two days later, I play by ear and don't have the notes written out. Its a pretty common song, I'm sure they're out there somewhere!! And my whistle is in the key of D if that helps any. Good luck!! -Ari
Ariana Coleman Have to say not sure how on earth you learnt that in 2 days from out the box..... pretty damn smart. I got one in Dmaj too and not close to your level lol

Nice Job! I have a question for you though. I have had a couple of different whistles and they sound ok, but some I hear on youtube sound better, more refined. I know yours sounds good too. Any advice on what brands are best or at least what is your brand? Do you have any idea if a $100 dollar whistle sounds that much better than a $10?
What a lovely, happy song! So glad I found it, always lifts my spirits, you play it beautifully and even though you don't say a word, you're cute lil smile at the beginning and end says it all. Thanks!
Great stuff! You have inspired me to get my whistle out from its case and start to play again after a 10 year break! Love this song and so many other traditional whistle tunes. Thanks for posting! Bets of luck.
Timeless! Celtic Thunder, Voyage, CD, is a favourite of mine. Dulaman, sticks in my head for hours after listening to it. You've probably guessed, so does "The Galway Girl."
Just came across this by accident (was looking for something I heard on a TV show, lol) and am so glad I did. Absolutely amazing - bookmarked this page so I'll be back to listen to it more often. :)
Wow! Pretty cool, well played. Congrats :-) Do you still play? I mean this is 11 years old video at the moment :( (I'm learning to play a tin whistle for one and a half years (my first instrument ever), so I'm looking around to see what progress is possible and what to learn :) Some tips? Mistakes to avoid? Advices to follow? Best songs? Maybe? :) :)
I'm just starting and get I conflicting tips on whether or not you have to use your tongue to play. Can't you just blow into the whistle or is it better to touch the tip of the mouthpiece with the tip of your tongue for each note?'
hi. what is that note for the part that goes, '& I ask you friend' it looks like d on the higher octave but is that like the third D higher octave? I dont even know if that makes sense to you? so you blow D once & then blow it harder for the higher octave but are you blowing it even harder to get up a note higher again?
Out standing, well done. Would you be able to tell me the notes in the version you play it in or even better in numbers like (123456) so i can learn it, i love the tune it's great. You make a good job of it.
my wife has been trying to learn to play this on her whistle--I think we just found the place for her to learn it. She is also a Thunderhead and has been working on this song for a while; thanks for posting!
