ORLANDO TRAVEL DAY VLOG ✈ Flying in premium with TUI to Melbourne, Florida for Disney & Universal

- No, it's not a Center Parcs vlog this time...! Instead we are flying with Tui to Orlando, Florida for 10 nights of Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, shopping and sunshine.
In the first vlog from our trip we are bringing you along with us on our Travel Day as we fly from Birmingham Airport (BHX) to Melbourne, Orlando (MLB). We enjoyed our first experience flying in Premium Economy of the 787 Dreamliner, and show you what's included - lounge access, amenties kit, proper cutlery!!! We also throw in a room tour and first look at the Avanti Palms Resort and Conference Center hotel where we will be staying for most of our trip on International Drive.
As if that wasn't enough, we finish off our long travel day with a bite to eat at the World's Biggest McDonalds (aka The Epic McD!)...

Hahah I can never have pizza without thinking about you now 🤣🤣 the TUI flight was good, it felt like a good level of service and food and drinks etc. I would like the option to purchase WiFi on board but that's the only thing missing for me.
We did A LOT of shopping including B&BW so definitely something for you to look forward to 🤩

Great room tour! been looking for an updated video of this hotel for rooms specifically. I have booked this hotel for 14 nights in October this year, but have seen a huge amount of bad reviews, especially for cleanliness and loudness. We are thinking about upgrading to Tower section, as seen these are supposedly nicer with less noise etc... Is the room you stayed at, the standard double room? if not, what room did you go for? thanks for video needed this!
Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching 😁 I had seen some reviews online too and so was also worried but it was nowhere near as bad as I had expected. It's not amazing but it's fine for a base on a budget. We stayed in a standard room in block 5, and fortunately noise and that wasn't an issue for us. The tower seemed to have a constant stench of weed whenever we were by it, although that could be an isolated incident and one guest, and can also happen anywhere.
Big positives for us were the pool in the morning, breakfast included and location.

Hi, could you point me in the direction of a good travel card, we want to take, 50/50 card & cash? I am unsure whether to look at prepaid, but have no idea, are there any that have restrictions in some places, just looking for something tried and tested :) Love to hear your thoughts x
We use Halifax Clarity Card, which has always met our needs and been reliable. However I am obviously cautious about any financial type of advice, so maybe check out moneysavingexpert website for more detailed info?

When we went it was around £300 each I think, but I've seen prices fluctuate a lot depending on dates, demand etc. You should be able to price it up on TUI website fairly easily to get a better idea.

Oh hey! We didn't have any local / resort fee to pay. I did check that in advance as I saw different reviews but I had email confirmation from Avanti Palms saying it was all covered in the booking 🥰 when are you off? Have a great time!!

How was the drinks sevice in premium? Can you order your drinks as and when you want them or do you have to wait for them to do their rounds?
The drinks selection was good and all miniatures (as opposed to free pouring). The crew were great, they checked if we wanted drinks when they passed with the bart cart in both directions, and wine with the meal. We had plenty without needing to ask for any extra 🍻🤭
That's great, thank you. I'm not much of a "drinker" myself but I know my husband's looking forward to flowing drinks and likewise my 8 year old son with orange juice 😂

Is Tui premium worth the money? And are the seats 💺 comfy?
I know it will depend on things like personal budgets and who you would be paying out for. For us, in our circumstances and with the price we paid then yes, I feel like premium was worth it and just made the outbound and return flights more comfy and less cramped. If it was double the price, it would still be comfy but we wouldn't be able to justify it. Hope that helps?
What is on the sandwiches on the afternoon tea? Vloggers show them but never say what is on them 😊
From memory I think one finger was cream cheese and cucumber, one egg mayo, and also cheddar with maybe a pesto spread?

Hi Richard, no unfortunately no WiFi options on board with TUI. It's a shame as I think it's lacking compared to other airlines, hopefully it will be available in future as the rest of the TUI long haul offer in premium (and economy) is good!

Honestly, brave going to Florida as LGBT men right now, but glad that everything went well for you!
I know what you mean with the Governor and his hate rhetoric, but we honestly didn't have any issues at all. And at least we only visit and aren't living there with that sort of tension being whipped up.
We have also enjoyed traveling to places like Morocco and Egypt before and generally just be aware of our surroundings etc.
