Hi Sarah, Sorry for the comment delay. I am still with you reading the Palestine book. It is good to hear you discuss the book and you are so passionate about it. I think everyone should read this book . I wish you well and will read up to page 75 for next Week. Hang in there !
I had the same feelings about Chapter 3, really enjoyed the tie-in and the reasoning Na-Rim provided for not being interested in a precog. It felt also a bit like taking ownership over your own fate. As for how the dream manifested in real life I thought the link to Deja Vu is really cool! I still wouldn't want the snippet as they also mentioned it might be misinterpreted. You might see something bad and it's just a small segment where in the end it works out well. Or you see something good and miss out that 5 seconds later there's a horrible accident you didn't see. As for what dreams actually are, I think it's just processing of what happened during the day. I have very vivid dreams and I can usually relate them to something specific that happened when I remember them as I wake up.
@@sandracarvalho6140 yes, I’ve definitely had dreams that I can relate to something that happened during the day! Sometimes it’s sooo specific. Crazy how our minds work!!
Dreams express our emotions...loves, wants, fears, etc. They aren't the future, they are your past experiences. You can't dream of things you don't know about. So of course I didn't have accounting dreams/nightmares until I started taking courses.
Every time I lose a pet it affects me deeply. This includes the outdoor cats I have fed. Getting sprayed by skunks really sucks. It's happened to me twice. Once as a kid and once as an adult....while I was sitting by the window in my house, with my bird on my shoulder, cat in the window, and dog out in the back yard.
Oh I can't find my comment about the Fiction Book. I was just vibing when I wrote it so I don't remember it verbatim. I felt the same way you did on the part where she is tying in the characters from different chapters, I liked it. I was also a fan of the introduction of the deja vu concept as a consequence of the precog dream. I felt the same way as the character for the reasoning she didn't want to receive the precog dream. I also wouldn't want a precog dream, just like the explanation Dallergut provided for not selling it to the people eager for the dream. You might see a snippet of something horrible and it's just a small part of something that worked out in the end. But since you can't see the whole thing I guess you'd just be left with a feeling of impending doom. I know I wrote more stuff and it isn't the first time I comment on a video and it disappears T_T Let's go next chapters!!
Thank you, Sarah, for your spot-on analysis of Matteo Menapace's discrimination at Spiel des Jahres. I am personally trying to obtain an official statement from the Designer Association in Germany, but I have not yet succeeded. I hope to clarify this imbalance and the pro-genocide statement made by the Spiel des Jahres committee.
Yes I was the one who had people no other players declare ambitions. I was the only one who did and it was a big drawback for me which everyone saw. Also, your ambition has to be on the first card you play. This is not great mechanic IMO because the ambition wants cards of that type but it gets used up to declare it. SO you have to get a lot of the same type or declaring ambition is often bad for you because it gives advantage to the players. If I played again I would have a house rule where you can declare an ambition of any type if you are the first player. I think this would make the game much better.
The lighting looks good, so don't worry about it.
