I think the second has the best jokes. I don’t think I’ve ever actually watched it but even I know them. “It’s almost enough to make a grown man cry.. Get back in here!” “There’s a leek in the boat!!”
@@lilunette9319 His feet were essentially vacuum packed, so no oxygen to breed fungus. and on @natcatgiraffe's point, it's so much worse. As many times as I've seen this movie, I finally caught that a letter T is imprinted in the nacho as Earl is carrying Cal and his wife on the sandwich at 37:00 😂😂
It's always amazing when they manage to turn such a short book into a whole animated movie. I think the pancake covering the school gag was from the book, but I'm not sure how many others were because it's been so long since I last read it.
Hey Oscar! I just wanted to take a second to say that your new setup is awesome! The camera quality looks great and the lighting and background are super cool! You’ve done an awesome job!! Your reactions are always so much fun! Thanks for sharing your humor and personality in your reactions with us! Keep up the great work!

23:46 Yeah I never really understood what was so hard about just saying "Son, I am proud and I think you're insanely smart but I have some concerns and if we can address those we can move forward together."
Right? It would’ve been so much easier to just have an honest conversation instead of letting everything blow up. Communication is key, even in a cartoon!
I hope you check out the sequel too, it's just as wild and enjoyable, with what I think is even better animation. One thing I didn't catch when I was a kid is how all of Flint's failed inventions ultimately end up helping him, like the bird-rats, spray-on shoes, Steve, or the flying car.

I was hoping you’d react to this movie!! I feel like because it’s so odd and comedic, no one really appreciates the relationship between Flint and Tim, and how they’re both reclusive to others in different ways, Flint’s isolation is more obvious because he’s eccentric but in the film we’ve never really seen anyone have a relationship or friendship with Tim, or really even converse with him or notice him either, so it’s so nice to see him finally connect with his son
Yes! The relationship between Flint and Tim is super underrated! It’s like they both find a little piece of themselves in each other. Flint’s eccentricity and Tim’s quietness balance each other out, and it’s so heartwarming to see Tim finally get the connection he deserves!
You're doing great with all the animation movies. I love it, and I am in for it. PLEASE be one of the first reactors to "the owls of ga'hule". You are going to watch it with your mouth wide open. It's that good!! Maybe other reactors will follow 😊
I love this movie so much. I was already in uni by the time it came out, but for some reason my brother and I really latched onto it and used to quote it to each other all the time.
I remember reading the book by the same name. But this is one time where I think the movie is better than the book. Granted, it's a children's book, so it's not meant to be top tier, but the movie is just really good. A lot of references to the book in this movie though, like the tomato tornado, the salt and pepper wind, the guy with pasta on his head, the pea soup fog, the pancake on the school, and the boats made of bread, peanut butter, pizza, and cheese.
as a sidenote, the cameraman says he's from Guatemala. As a Guatemalan myself, I know of many people who have fancy professions here who go live in the US or Europe working jobs like that one, to escape the corruption and delinquency my country has, and earn money for their family who stayed in the country.
I absolutely love this film! It means a lot to me. Hard to explain. But I found the way they added jokes here and there is perfect. And they didn't take away from the story or characters.
I honestly always loved this movie; its a great time and one of the jost interesting book liscensed movies with how many different things they incorporated into the story without deviating from the original and still managing to make it work
Just going leave my little suggestion that you should watch the Fantastic Mr. Fox here. (If you haven't seen it already) Really such a brilliant movie by Wes Anderson. It's really fun and silly, but more in an eccentric way, I feel. Rather than goofy. I just love movies that acknowledges and showcases how people (and foxes i guess) are all just a little rediculous. But at the same time the story has such intimate messages that really makes it special. Also Anderson's attention to the little details makes it a visual feast. Anyway, (sorry for the little ramble) can't recommend it enough. Such a lovely family film. Thought I'd shoot my shot😅

I have loved this movie for ages! I do agree, it’s a very silly film, but it’s got a lot of heart. Not to mention, its memes are absolute classics that are so much better in context. The second one, while not as good (in my opinion) as the first, is still a decent watch. At the very least, the villain’s antics in that one are quite fun.
One of my childhood favourites. As someone without the book, to me this was another movie my mom had picked out and brought home for us to watch. People praise it for the animation style, which wasn't that common in 3d: the cartoony physics. I don't know if Hotel Transylvania or Cloudy came first.
Have you ever watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit before? If not, you should definitely give it a watch. It’s what helped Disney see that animation can still be mainstream and make money, in turn lead to the Renaissance.
