I think one of my favorite unexplained details is that Roz's system flashes red to signify a pain response, usually meant to denote physical damage to her system. When Brightbill tells her that whatever task she thinks she's completing, she's done, her HUD flashes red, signifying a pain response despite the fact that her system has not suffered any physical damage. Her programming literally adapted to recognize emotional pain as system damage.

It’s funny, when I saw a behind the scenes video of the voice cast, the line we saw with Longneck gave me the impression “oh he’s gonna be the grumpy curmudgeon with a heart of gold deep down” but then I saw the movie and it’s like one line that gave that impression and makes more sense in context of the movie. Love him and so sad he died.
I love that the scene where Roz figures out the animal's language actually has significance throughout the entire movie, the animal's don't know what the other robot's are saying and repeatedly ask Roz to translate, and the robot's either don't recognise the animal's noises as them speaking or just don't understand them.
The reason why fink ran away when he did was because when roz was asking about "how do you know if you love something?" He thought that she was talking about him. But when he realized that it was about brightbill he ran away because to him. That meant roz didn't love him, so there was no point to stay around
Exactly, that’s why I felt so bad for him and wanted him to stay. I postponed watching this review specifically until I saw the movie for myself. I finally did in theaters earlier today and immediately watched this after getting home. I must say, it's very unique to see these scenes again a mere few hours later. I went into the movie thinking it would be a good yet typical movie about a robot learning to adapt to a wild environment and forming connections with certain animals. I was not expecting to be taken on as much of an emotional rollercoaster as I was. 42:30 This is the part that absolutely DESTROYED me in the theaters. My two roommates/best friends (basically my family), that I'd lived with for almost 7 years had just recently moved away when I saw this. And Fink's voice breaking when he says, "What if I have to tell you something and you aren't there..." just sent me into tears because I said something very similar to them when we were saying our goodbyes on their moving day 😭 This is simply just one of the best movies ever created hahahaha. Watched this movie with my family the day before I was set to leave to go back to uni after a week break. I cried like a baby when BrightBill was learning to fly and when he finally flew 😓
"We must become more than we were programed to be" It's such an incredible sentence where we shouldn't limit ourselves to what we were taught. Roz was programmed to be a service robot but developed emotions and raised a child. As a person who is part of the LGBTQIA+ community and seeing a lot of people saying that people of the same sex cannot raise a child well, Roz is a robot and raised a goose, It's true that no one is born knowing how to raise a child, and this film made me reflect on so many things that I don't even know how to explain.I cried watching it before, I cried again, and I cried now watching the reaction, I believe that MANY people need to watch this film and learn good lessons.

I watched this movie with my cousin. She is in her mid-twenties, and I am in my early thirties. We both have great parents, but before the age of 10 we both had to grow up very quickly to take on parental roles and take on the responsibility of helping raise our younger siblings and put them first so this movie hit us HARD. We didn't know what we were doing at the time, but learned through trial and error and followed the example of our parents and continouosly took their advice, so Roz's inexperience on raising a child but still putting in the effort as much as she could at the expense of herself, and not being afraid to seek out help, really connected with us. Our siblings are getting older, and we both feel a sense of pride and accomplishment, knowing that we had a huge part along with our parents on shaping our siblings into the wonderful people they are now. We were not expecting the movie to be so heartfelt and for us to connect so deeply to it, so we were both crying throughout the movie, and we were both sobbing even after the credits rolled. This is a fantastic movie!! It deserves all of the praise and awards!!

Even though one of its main themes is motherhood, which was absolutely amazing and made me appreciate my mom even more (totally agree with what you said haha), I think there's some valuable lessons in there for everyone. I saw this movie a few weeks ago after a friend invited me and was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful story. The animation is wonderful but it is the story that gets you involved. I laughed and cried because it does touch on real life emotions.
There's some minor details I've catch upon rewatching: 1. Fink is actually in love with Roz. After their first met, he calls her beautiful. And then when he talk about "you should probably tell em" after Brightbill leave, he clearly hope that she admit it to him, but when he realize she talk about Brightbill, he seem a little disappointed and proceed to leave. 2. Roz was able to talk to animals while the other robots can't, that's why Vontra didn't catch it the first time Fink call for Roz right before they leaving, and Vontra just assume Roz just leaving, while in fact she leave on call. And at the battle for keeping Roz, the other robots didn't know what the animals talking about and vice versa, and Roz step up as translator to both side. 3. Vontra collect Roz after she retrieve all other stranded robot. You can see a pile of them along with new collected Roz. Rozzum 6262 (the orange one) know that Roz overwrite her program, something that's very unusual for a robot, after Rozzum 6262 inspect her at the beach. That's how Vontra know, by inspecting Rozzum 6262 memory, therefore know that Roz is indeed a very special and valuable assets. 4. At first call for retrieval to Universal Dynamic, Roz stand tall and emotionless, but when she signaling after Brigthbill leave, she was sitting down, hugging herself like trying to contain herself of all her emotion she feels. That's little gesture show so much about her character development.
I agree with almost everything. Fink lives Roz but I don’t think it’s meant to be interpreted as “IN LOVE with Roz”. He’s had problems with communicating his feelings and accepting love from others for his entire life it seems and Roz is the first thing that’s actually cared for him. Him calling her a beautiful robot in the story and then saying she should say how she feels is an indication of his love for her but not more than an innocent love (not romantic).
Just because he called her beautiful doesn’t mean he was in love with her. He’s telling a story to a small child, and the intent was to make it sound like a storybook e.g. “once upon a time there was a beautiful princess”. The only type of love fink ever talked about was the type he never got from his mother. It felt more like fink attached to her quickly not only because she was his first and only friend at that point in the story, but because she had a motherly side to her that he tried to cling to, that he never experienced.
Also I don’t like the implication that if you call someone beautiful who’s the opposite gender and isn’t related to you that it means you’re probably in love. Again, he’s never had a friend before. And there’s nothing inherently romantic about calling your friends beautiful.

THE BACKGROUND IM IN LOOOVE🔥
(I really think you’ll love brave it’s one of the best films out there in my opinion and I’m so happy everything’s working out!!)
Who knew a movie about a robot and a fox becoming parents to a goose would get you emotional?
Thank you for cheering me up. I had an interview today and I think I've failed it but thank you for making me smile ❤❤❤
I actually got to see this early cause I was part of promoting it and I was definitely surprised by how good it was
That sounds so cool! What did you do in order to watch it early? Did you have to sign-up somewhere?
@@readstoomuch2070 im part of the leadership of the robotics team at my university and the marketing agency they used for the movie contacted us, so we got to see the movie early and then went on live tv to talk about it and also show off our own robots
The wild robot is an incredible masterpiece. Up there for the best animated movie of all time.
This movie reminded me a lot of this other movie called Fly Away Home. It was one of Anna Paquin's first acting roles. It's based on the true story of a Canadian girl who goes through a similar experience to this robot in terms of raising geese. I think you would like it!
Yes!!! I watched Fly Away Home so many times growing up. I second this as a watch request
I watched this on repeat as a kid. Whenever I mention it, most people have never heard of it!
Oh my god that movie brings back memories. I thought it was quite obscure too, would be strange to see someone react to it lol.
Fun Fact- This is based on three books in libraries, bookstores and more!
So easy adaptations and a definite part 2
@kisasohlo1127 oh hi there!
42:30 This is the part that absolutely DESTROYED me in the theaters. My two roommates/best friends (basically my family), that I'd lived with for almost 7 years had just recently moved away when I saw this. And Fink's voice breaking when he says, "What if I have to tell you something and you aren't there..." just sent me into tears because I said something very similar to them when we were saying our goodbyes on their moving day 😭
This is simply just one of the best movies ever created hahahaha. I knew it would be good when I saw it was from the same people who made HTTYD, but even still! It's so good!!
Watched this movie with my family the day before I was set to leave to go back to uni after a week break. I cried like a baby when BrightBill was learning to fly and when he finally flew 😓
"if a bear was like 'truce' I would cuddle it as well" is the realest sentence to ever be real
I loved how ANIMAL like all the creatures were??? Like okay its really obvious, but anyone with a small dog probably knows the scene of Fink with the egg is defo accurate when talking about them stealing socks. Also baby Brightbill was SO CUTE I ALMOST DIED
Thanks for reacting!
Other Dreamworks recommendations: Road to El Dorado and Sinbad: Legend of the 7 seas
I'm so happy. I loved this movie in theaters. I cried twice at all the same scenes 😅
I watch this on your patreon the other day. It was so heartwarming. I enjoyed every moment. Thanks Aussie
2:55 SHE'S DOING THE EIRL RUN! 🤣
I think you need to watch Turning Red. Aside from that, here are my recommendations:
- Big Bang Theory (TV series)
- Brooklyn Nine-Nine (TV series)
- Boss Baby
- Bee Movie (2007) (Jerry Seinfeld stars in this, he voiced the main character)
Did anyone else feel like Fink is Brightbill’s dad the first time they watched this movie XD
Saw this in theaters with my girlfriend, we both BAWLED our eyes out 😭😭
I’m loving your new setup! But where’s the “The Cocoa Couch” behind you before?
Oh my gosh. Love the new setup! So cozy😢❤
This is now one of my favorite animated movies. The animation is incredible, the soundtrack is amazing, and the storyline is entertaining. I also loved all the characters, none were bad in my opinion!
why though? I thought this was terrible and I'm so confused about why people love it. Mind you, movies like Big Hero 6 and Lilo and Stitch make me sob like a child every time I watch them. I thought this movie was so insanely rushed and all the big important moments happened so fast for some reason. Longneck appeared out of nowhere and hand a handful of lines and BOOM migration okay bye guys then he dies...
I truly don't get it..
@xhelan131 see, I'm kinda the opposite. Those movies were kind of boring for me. They aren't bad, but not ones I would ever really watch again.
@@abbij2009 thats so insane to me haha i guess thats just people being different than one another right? lol
Three days ago i watched this movie at the cinema with my mother and i cried a lot! WHAT A FANTASTIC STORY! 😭💖🔥
I love this movie; I use to feed geese and study what they do. I understand how Ross see and feel. Thank you for sharing.
it is very possible that this film will win more than one Oscar
Loved your response. Very honest and compassionate.
42:30 😢 this did it.
Grinch: I'm leaking.
I was blown away by how good this movie was

@@xhelan131 because its a touching film? The movies you listed never made me tear up but I understand that they are touching for people. This movie is especially sad for people who are parents and can relate.
@@xhelan131It has some pacing issues, doesn't mean its bad. People are so black and white.
@@sallytheuselessbird uh, yes it does mean it's bad. It's MY opinion, and the pacing issues in this are really bad.

You replied to multiple comments here just to be a jerk and say how this film is bad.
No one needs to hear that male bovine excrement.
Just stop.
I honestly love watching your reactions, you're so genuine and positive, you cry like I cry with these movies and you respect animation so much, it's just heartwarming
I love the new setup ❤❤
The amount of tears I just shed at this Dunkn’ Donut is wild… oh my god
At least you had some donuts to help ease the sadness ❤
This movie was so beautiful. It surpassed my expectations. The animation, the story line, and the music was so magical, emotional and beautifully well done! 🥹Every time I listen to “I could use a boost” I get goosebumps.
Btw, congrats on the new set up, it looks awesome!
I suggest watching IF! My son and I watched Wild Robot and IF back to back. I was hysterical by the end. I couldn’t stop crying. Both are beautiful movies.
Omg I'm so happy you reacted to this, thank you for sharing :) This was just an incredible film. Like you said, the animation was phenomenal and it does remind me of Arcane a lot. The story itself has so much heart, I def cried like 3 separate times in the theaters. Even though one of its main themes is motherhood, which was absolutely amazing and made me appreciate my mom even more (totally agree with what you said haha), I think there's some valuable lessons in there for everyone. Like I just love how to advocates for kindness and also becoming more than what you were programmed/meant to be. I think this def has become one of my new favorite animated movies
Oscar, you are so sweet! I’m glad I found your channel so many months ago.
This was one of the very best animated movies I have watched, i have had the same feeling when I watched the mitchells and the machines
Everyone is always so surprised when the animals start eating each other. XD I mean, that is what nature is like.
Same! But Tbf, it’s been forever since an animated movie presented death in a realistic way. Ngl, I love it. But people aren’t gonna feel the same way.
Finally, been waiting for your reaction about this specifically
I saw this in the cinema with my girlfriend a week ago and we both bawled our eyes out, what an amazing movie ❤️
I forgot to mention my grandfather services was yesterday. The feeling of being alone, like you said. Having someone leave. I felt that in my heart.
Saw it in the end of September
Loved it! ❤️
Hope it’ll get an Oscar
i wonder if the term "Alpha 113 Processor" is a nod towards Pixar, since they always use A113 in their movies
17:36 "OH SHIVERS" XD I'mma start using that now
My mom and I went to a drive-in to see this on my birthday. It was a nice film!
Amazin reaction! I cried like three times watching this movie. I loved the part where the little skunk said they fought so hard for her to stay ToT. BTW, if you haven't seen Robot Dreams, I will love a future reaction of this beautiful movie but if you have seen it, it would be nice to have at least a review.
JUST watched it. All I can say is that it was AMAZING. Y'all should watch it yourself if you wanna cry. I cried 3 times.
I saw this movie a few weeks ago after a friend invited me and was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful story. The animation is wonderful but it is the story that gets you involved. I laughed and cried because it does touch on real life emotions.
There's some minor details I've catch upon rewatching:
Loved this at the cinema. I was just going to recommend this one, too 🙂💕
Oooh I saw this movie in theaters, love it to death! I think you should watch The Fault in Our Stars and All the Bright Places. Both really good! I dont know what types of movies you prefer but i think youd like them
This would’ve been a PERFECT movie for Mother’s Day!
9:33 - 9:36My exact reaction along with my friends at the cinema 😮
I cry everytime at the migration scene
Oh, those little trash pandas are menaces.
Oh i really hope you are going to react to the Netflix series Heartstopper, where Kit Connor who speaks Brightbill plays one of the main characters! It is such a wonderful and heartwarming show!!! ❤
I loved this movie your reaction was lovely too if you liked Pedro’s performance pls react to the last of us cause man that show hits your heart but also has the action and suspense.
This movie is a masterpiece

Love this movie. I watched almost every reactor watch this movie. The story and meaning of this movie is just what we need in society today. We have strained so far from our Morals its refreshing to see them push back in movies
Love your new studio set up, looks great!
For an another reaction, I recommend "Catch Me If You Can" ! it's a very good movie
The trailer was awesome. Gen Z, I think is one that reminded me of this one. Also like Micheal's vs the machines??
I can't wait to watch this video when I've seen the movie. I want to see it with my family in a couple weeks, so I'll be back then to check it out.
33:41 The *smack* sound right as you whips your head XD. *Whiplash.*
I am so glad it moved you.
Yay, you’re back!! Also, I’m so excited that you’re reacting to this!!
Do you know what time it is? It's tomorrow buddy! I'm still writing my research so this'll be the first thing I watch in the morning!
Psalms 18:1-3 NIV
[1] I love you, Lord, my strength. [2] The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. [3] I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.
This movie was ridiculously good! I was so sad that I didn't read the book, but the animation was insane!
Sort of a cross between Wall-e and Beta-Max meets Over the Hedge
hey oscar! fellow member here, and i’ve been loving your reactions for a few months now. did you get a new camera? it looks like either the way you’re sitting or how your camera is set up is different. i remember you said your lease ended at your old place, so maybe it’s the same camera, just a new setup in your room? hope that makes sense! hope you’re all settled into your new place. i absolutely love your cozy reactions-i always have cocoa or popcorn nearby when i’m watching. you’re so funny and one of the few creators on this app i genuinely appreciate for your feedback and how you notice the little things. hope all is well!
