Most professional guitarists play this piece but this is the best rendition I could find on TH-cam. And this was a live performance! Sr. Manuel has the technical ability to play it at the right tempo and besides, has the hispanic temperament to play it expressively.
This is one of the few pieces that Barrueco nailed live. I think he is a great recording guitarist. I have seen him on 3 occasions live and he just doesnt perform like you would expect him to. Although many considered him one of the best if not the best, i beg to differ only because the true mark of a gifted and singular virtouso(Williams and Bream) is to play live just like in the wonderful recording where they established their legacies. Barrueco falls short there IMHO
Muchas gracias.
As good as Bream's version; I bet he went to Bream's masterclasses. _edit:_ I think this surpasses Breams's version in having a stronger and greater dynamic range.
Las notas de guitarra traen paz y regocijo a mi espíritu y corazón !

wow just magnificent...barrueco playing albeniz on the ruck, the most devastating combination in the world of classical guitar! thanks for posting!
The great version of "Sevilla" by Manuel in the early 80s - I love it ! :)
Well, that's the best I've ever heard that played live. Unreal.
And I think that's a big, big understatement. :)
Stunning!
Muy bueno Excelente interpretación
His playing is so smooth! I have a hard time with passages 0:25 and 0:47 among other things, but his transcription of this piece is just stunning.
Most performers I could watch on TH-cam stumble there, even the good ones. It is probably really difficult.
Hi very nice and beautiful :-) enjoyed, greetings
Unfortunately, I have no video of him playing that particular piece. Manuel's recording of the Tres Piezas Españolas is quite outstanding for sure!
And in fact, he still uses the Ruck for his solo recordings and uses the Damman for touring...

Comparing williams to barrueco is a crime, you shuldnt even put them in the same sentence. Im sorry for your opininon
@@redonhajdari3117 exactly Barrueco very overrated!
@@DIEGOGONZALEZ-np9ed than why are you here go listen to williams hahaha
@@redonhajdari3117 I listen to all and just making a opinion that is it! BTW have you seen Barrueco live?? maybe you would change your opinion too!
When did you see him live, was it in his later career? Because this video you are watching was recorded live and it's near perfection
Thats what i ve come up with: latin / spanish classical guitar repertoire should be listened from spanish / south american guitarists
It's sad that anglo/European players are widely acclaimed while some latin/hispanic players are often underappreciated.
@@matiasalucema629 acclaimed or overrated?
¡Excelente!...

His friend and fellow master guitarist David Russell also plays a Damann. Maybe David influenced Manuel to go with Damann?
Great technique, but his tempo is a bit too unregular, so the piece just not starts dancing....
In my opinion, the Ruck is far superior. Especially when it comes to ballance and tonal quality.
Holy shit!
i think this man plays pretty well
EXCELENTE GUITARRISTA......PERO EL AUDIO ES MUY MALO.
run run Mr Barrueco, this is el tempo Alicia de Larocha th-cam.com/video/cx-MyIFbZyo/w-d-xo.html

Bream went to his!!
Breams version is quite weak compared to this.
@@kerimcabbar7159 listening again, I agree that this surpasses Bream's version.
Not according to David Russell
tasteless!!!
listen to bream, waaay better!
