    Since I was little I have always been a fan of having fish of all kinds, and my favorite part was choosing aquariums for them. I almost never got the right size and had to ask someone to make them the way I wanted.
    That's why your video seems excellent to me, it's a shame I didn't get it sooner, I spent a lot of money on aquariums during part of my life. Thanks for so much information

    The video is very interesting, I have a small fish tank and I was unaware of many of the things explained here, although it is true, it depends on the quantity and type of fish to determine how big a fish tank should be, it must also be said that the models shown are beautiful but they must be very expensive, thanks for the video anyway, because I'm thinking about renovating the fish tank and I already have some ideas, continue with more videos like this please.

    • @MacTechG4
      @MacTechG4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AquariumStoreDepot my local fish store has a 50 Lowboy and a 60 breeder set up for their plant selection tanks, they both look good, but something about that low, wide, shallow 50 Lowboy just calls to me!
      I found a 40 breeder that had been set up as a plant sale tank on Marketplace for free! And it even has the brackets and filter pad for a corner matten filter, and the back glass painted black, the silicone looks to be in great shape too, I’m definitely going to leak test it, but I’m planning to set it up as a Cherry Shrimp mega-colony, and replace at least one of my existing tanks (28 Bowfront with a single female betta and a bunch of guppy grass, 20 long cherry shrimp tank, and 20 long plant overflow/algae cleaning tank with a trio of Florida Flag Fish…) it’ll probably be down to either replacing the 29 Bow or the 20 Long shrimp tank, probably the 28 bow, as I don’t really care for that design (it was a freebie from a yard sale and came with a matched stand)
      I like the 20 Longs too much to get rid of them, such a useful size and layout

    Very good. I've arowana pool and idk when I last did a 30% water charge. Big aquariums are so good in self maintenance that you barely needs to do anything other than feeding and occasional poop cleaning. On the other hand my 3 gallon bowl is so much headache, I've to do a full water charge every week. Surprisingly my 20 gallon is also not very high maintenance. Can you give us some insight on water changing and what to add during or after water changing, should we add liquid fertilizer after water change or methylene blue etc

    • @AquariumStoreDepot
      @AquariumStoreDepot  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there. Yes the bigger the more stable.
      The best advice is to do water changes based off parameters. Only do them if your parameters are off. I had this mentality with reef tanks I would run and carried it over to freshwater tanks. Water changes are unnecessary if your main 3 parameters are fine (ammonia. Nitrites, and nitrates). If you have fish that tolerate nitrates well - you can take it even further than that. Generally, I won’t bother to change water of nitrates are below 40PPM. Of course this matters more if you have sensitive animals like discus or inverts. Most planted aquariums you want to run at 30-50 PPM nitrates for optimal plant growth.
      Fertilizer should be dozed at half of the recommendation to start then increase as you go. All depends on your plant growth. Lighting and CO2. Your CO2 levels will drive most of the growth speed. You run into issues if CO2 is off compared to your lighting and nutrient levels.

    What about 90 gallon.which I have I have 14 goldfish in a 60 gallon bowfront. With three aqueous 50 power filters,I change the water every two weeks. I am upgrading to a 90 gallon soon.

    • @AquariumStoreDepot
      @AquariumStoreDepot  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      90s are great. I usually have gone for long than wide or readily available so for me I’ll tend to go with 75, 60B, and 120 for 4 footers and 125 for an entry level 6 footer. For 3 footers - I go with 40 breeders. 2 footers I’m usually looking at cubes and designing differently.

      This would be a 120 gallon tank. Actual water weight will depend on what decor and substrate you put inside it

    I adore nano tanks they’re so small and easy to go places with and use. Tho I’ve found that medium tanks are definitely easier especially when water parameters are good, it balances it perfectly. Tho I wanna make a HUGE jump to a Large aquarium

    • @AquariumStoreDepot
      @AquariumStoreDepot  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Larger aquariums are way more stable but can require a lot more maintenance and differently more $$$ to invest. My favorite smaller tank is a 40 breeder. Big enough where I can still install a sump or add a quality canister filter and stable. Dimension still make it easier for smaller spaces
