would it be better to remove the other cat that's in the front pipe too? it's more difficult of a job and would need to be cut and re welded after the front cat is removed.

I thought about removing the other cat too, but then I looked at the quality of my welds and decided against it. I may take it off one day and go over to a buddies with a proper welder not my $89 Harbor Freight junk.

Reduce temps in the cab, there is another cat closer to the engine that can only be removed by cutting out the cat and welding the pipe back together
