Jeep 4.7 miss-fire/no start when warm
2002 Jeep 4.7 had a bad miss-fire then would not start. But started and ran good when cold. This is a symptom of a bad crank sensor.

I have an 05 silverado 1500. But Having trouble finding the horn wire I see a few what looks like black and white wires but not black and yellow. Is there any way to find it easier?
It should be a black wire on pin e12 of connector C2 of the Body control module from what I could find. The BCM is under the steering column, second connector should be C2, 12th wire over on top row should be the black horn relay control wire.
@ I got it working. Thank you!
What years come with the sensor one?
I’m not sure what year that was added. I suppose you have to look at your column and see if you have the steering angle sensor on your column bearing. The company that makes these bearings (Wolff engineering) has one with the sensor housing.
I have a 2002 Yukon, what year is yours?
2006
What's the dimensions of your camper?
Just over 6’ wide by 8’ long
From México, thanks for help me to change the sensor.
What’s the cable to disable the ignition key turn. Basically if they strip the ignition cylinder and turn it it still doesn’t start like pullling the starter fuse out I want to make it to where I can add a viper alarm later on and use the remote start feature as I won’t need to turn the key at all.
If you interrupt the big yellow wire like I do in this video it will make it so that even if they strip the ignition cylinder and turn it, the engine will not crank. If you add a remote start later you just have to make sure it’s wired after this disable switch

So is the oil fill necessary to take off if it isn’t leaking, or will i have to take it off to do the valve cover, thanks -sam
I don’t think it’s necessary to remove the oil fill, but it’s part of the gasket set and might be in the way when trying to pull the valve cover

Honda replacement turbo OEM $2000
P2563 on my daughter's 2018 Honda accord sport 1.5 liter turbo. She is headed back to Tampa, Florida next week. I'm hoping that she makes it back from new haven ct. Limp mode ???
I can’t imagine it is clogged up like a diesel. It could just be a bad position sensor in your case
Dorman #295-100 will slide in there and replace the plastic you cut out and fit like a glove. Foam topped to seal the airbox and screw included like it was made for it!👍
I did a bit of searching and found a #259-200 that looks like what you are talking about. The #259-100 is the cover only.
glad i live in hawaii where deletes are still allowed 😢 i just did my 06 gmc LBZ and at only 140k miles it already had bad build up in the intake pipes and the heads! crazy how bad it is.
Nice work man! About the bulb to LED replacement - as far as i know, tge original bulbs are rated at 12v andcthe board have a series resistor to them (low resistance), putting an LED in stead will stress the resistor and/or the LEDs (will short their life dramatically)...
Thanks, never heard about the resistors. I assumed the dimmer would no longer work, but I figure LED’s draw less power than incandescent so couldn’t do any harm. Well, it’s done now and the blue lights look really cool.
nobody ever shows the process of getting it seated. always cuts the video with it done. sucks ass.
Where did u get those plastics for the seats?
@@jorgevalencia9210 amazon, just search for “UTV seat harness pass through”
I wish I saw this before I changed my steering shaft and bought a new “oem” bearing. I’m gonna have to buy this bearing anyway as this looks like an amazing permanent fix instead of having to change out the plastic one every once in a while. I think my new bearing is already clunking after 2k miles 😅😅
I need to see how the actual switch work tired of people half ass showing what’s going on
At least you showed me how to make an access panel where there is not one and they do have filters I got no electricity to run power tools 🙂🤔😭
@@romualddowbor5236 my 2000 had filters, my 2006 didn’t. Maybe other models do. I read somewhere that they did away with them because nobody ever thought to change them.
I saw one of these in Montana durin vacation last week stumble across this vid trying to look for what i saw lmao outer tire to tire is that 8 foot also
The widest part is the popup at 8’, the trailer itself is a bit narrower
@@ThatllDoEngineering what type of trailer did you use I really want to build a set up like this
@@mortonmorton6083 7’ x 16’ flatbed. Nothing special. If you check out part 1 of this series you’ll see what it started as.
@@ThatllDoEngineering thanks man this will be a cheap way for my family to have fun with and travel
say if you don't use an oil catch can and you plug the intake? does it compromise the system? Some have a little air filter on the end of their catch can and nothing going back into the intake. This is how i have seen it on other vids. thx
As long as the pcv is vented it shouldn’t hurt anything to cap the pcv port on the intake. I guess the only reason to run the hose back to the intake is to reduce some of the fumes under the hood that tend to make their way into the cab.
just remove it completely your truck will be happy without. it will breath better
Is that wire for the starter at the keyswitch? Does it only get 12v when cranking or is it constant 12v
The signal you are interrupting is the crank signal to the starter so it only has 12v when cranking
@@ThatllDoEngineering Thanks for the quick response ! Im trying to install a starter interrupter harness basically it has a insertable chip you can remove and disrupt starting the vehicle its calling for tapping into “starter wire at the car keyswitch should show +12v only when cranking” could i tap into the yellow wire you did in this video to install it? I also have a 2006 silverado if it matters
@@DamianIbarra777 yes the heavier gauge yellow wire is the crank wire.
Great tip! I used a Dremel with a cutoff wheel. A plastic knife might be better, but I didn't want to burn myself in a tight spot. Took about 10 minutes to cut it out. I also removed the blower resistor to give better access.
Just delete it.
I know its been a few years... just came to own my grandfathers National. Was hoping to do something similar to what you did. Did you end up selling yours... wondering if its worth all the work?
I sold it, dont remember the exact amount, maybe $500. I know some of the more elaborate ones were worth a lot more. If I had done it just for the money I would say it’s not worth it. But I enjoyed the process of figuring out the mechanics of the machine and making it work again.
I feel your pain there. I drive my motorhome at the speed limit or slightly below. And i do all i safely can to stay out of folks way but some people....
Good spot for traficante
Dude.... I just did it! I used a fein tool and an end grinder. Thank You for showing how easy it is! I forwarded a link from your video to this video to get you some more traffic: th-cam.com/video/8svxHQfdsv0/w-d-xo.html Thanks Again!
Great Video! I have an 06 Silverado 3500 It looks like a chore just to get the cover off.
Only need to take 2 of the cover screws out . It will pull out of the way , leaving the 1 screw ( kind of in the center of the dash ) in place . Makes the job MUCH easier , especially if you have the Center Console .
Hey, you utilize what you got to its potential. Damn straight! Mitch Banner Linville NC
Brilliant
I've seen a full sized camper on a flatbed gooseneck trailer before! The guy had his whole business (welder & generator) on with it! He even had room for the toys (grill & ATV)!
Nice set up 👍
Without the popup
Can I run a basic on and off switch with one wire and another wire to just interrupt the starter wire without having a relay ?
Yep
That plate work the grid is the intake air heater-- if it fails, you may see white smoke.
I have wires running to mine. What are they? 1998 Cheyenne
How did you get the small coolant line off the one next under the intake elbow and the y bridge
Take a look at this video I did on cleaning the egr. Maybe I show what you’re looking for on there. LBZ Duramax egr removal and cleaning th-cam.com/video/KSdtAPQcgmg/w-d-xo.html
Label your chemicals if not in the original container . Most important
Was this the ultimate fix for the coolant loss? I have a similar slow loss but soft upper rad hose but soot and pressure out the reservoir but only sometimes. Thanks for the video
It was the fix for me. From what I understand it was either a leaky egr cooler or head gaskets. This was the cheaper fix, glad it wasn’t head gaskets.
i have an old ford i use it as a planter it does not have this either - but i respect good technology that still runs
So pin 87 and 86 need to be wired to ground or just left unconnected?
Both need to be grounded
Do you need to buy a relay to add to get the horn to come one or just splice into the horn wire??
You need the relay because you need to turn the 12v from the the starter wires to a ground signal to the horn.
Most appreciated good sir.
Anywhere I can find the torque specs for putting the valve back on?
Thanks
Dude I'm at a impass I've tried ever damn tool I have and I can't get the passenger side front inner bolt, I get a ratchet on it and can't move the damn thing , driving Me nuts !!!!
Yep, that one sucks to get to. If I remember right, the a/c compressor is in the way of getting to it from the front of the engine. Maybe you could cut/drill a hole in the inner fender to get a straight shot at it?
Nice video man thank you My truck is the second run green sh#@t box
good job!
