I think the printing on the canvas can be in 2 sizes, as mummsie said. I think I saw something that said one company was changing the printing of the squares to be a tiny bit smaller to avoid gapping in the square drills, difference in the 3D and 5D drill sizes.

I don't know about the square, but the round comes in 2 different sizes (and I don't mean the long or short one ; ) maybe you need the other size. The TH-cam "Measuring for diamond ruler by Diamond Painting by Doni" was the one that clued me onto this. Your voice is so soothing it just adds to the relaxingness (is that even a word ??) of diamond painting ; )
