I have a question 😊 Do you recommend that everything be played in HDR? With the Fire TV Stick, I can force the movies to display as HDR even though the movie is only SDR. Do you recommend that SDR content should remain SDR content? Or does it have advantages to play an SDR film in forced HDR? Thank you 😊 And at minute 1:35 ... Did I understand that correctly? Should you activate the "Brightness Optimization" for Filmmaker Mode SDR? Because later when you set it up you don't say anything more about it. Or what exactly did you mean? 🤔 Something should only be activated in Filmmaker Mode SDR during minute 1:35, not sure if you meant "Brightness Optimization" in the Power and Energy Saving settings.

How is the tv operating for you these days? I've read that a few firmware updates over time have made things like Game Mode worse or something unintentionally less bright and pissed people off. Assuming you do update the tv as opposed to keeping it offline, is the performance still good or have firmware updates caused issues for you? That's the one major thing keeping me away from Samsung.
Hi, I have a question. I don't know how to set the image for individual outputs. How do I set Picture values for individual outputs, for example different values for Netflix, different values for antenna output, different values for game mode and so on.
I'm using the Odyssy OLED G8 on DisplayPort for PC. game mode is on, and i'm wondering about the settings to use. For SD mode. The peak brightness is grayed out, and when using a black levels site like Logam i set the shadow details to +1 because i def can't see shade level 1 nor 2 on the 0 setting. something that i find disturbing, is i can't seem to adjust the RGB range on DP cables. tv seems to be set to Full which is ok, but that'll cause a problem when i watch blueray movies right? which are mastered in RGB Limited. anyway i use this for gaming, just wanting accurate colors and stuff. on the "what shades test" i feel like the tv is crushing shade 254, but no setting i mess with helps that. note about the black levels comment: my house almost always has lights on, so it would be foolish to turn them off just for this calibration - right?
Do you have any idea of how to force the TV to interpret the input as HDR? If that was possible it would be possible to retrofit the S95C with DV for something like $30.
Hey Classy. Long time fan here. I just noticed today that using your SDR settings for game mode the picture looks a bit saturated? When I switch to HDR mode in windows and windows then plays SDR content in an HDR container the saturation looks okay now. Any ideas?

Great video! Any idea how I can turn off all the energy saving warnings that I need to press OK on every time? As soon as I toggle between Filmmaker mode or Movie for example I get a window regarding power usage that I need to accept EVERY TIME...
From AVS forum (and be careful - Here be dragons!), you'll also need to be on tv not hdmi and be using the standard remote (apparently the phone app can also enter the necessary numbers) :
Press the following buttons on the remote to access the service menu.
Mute > 1 > 1 > 9 > OK > OK
Then.. to expand the options available, press
1 > 2 > 3 > 4
Then go to the following options
fms
fms
factory menu app
option
production option
setting.eu_energy_regulation
Change to Toggle OFF / Set to 0
Press back
Put the tv into standby then turn back on for setting to be set.
If you change stuff you shouldn't, you could very possibly brick the tv or fry the panel or something so Google stuff before you go exploring.
Getting this TV delivered next week so will be using this video to get the picture modes set up. Thanks
Will these settings work for s90c 77"
Can you do a s95c review like g3?
I will be, yes
Thank you. that review just too good🍻
Just followed this for the S90C and the two fully configured modes are very similar whereas your QN90C video is dramatically different focused on day vs night... Or am I missing something? The QN90C was great and love those settings!
Hoping you can help me. I have the 95c and I can’t get the game hdr mode to turn on with my pc. It’s greyed out. I have a Radeon 7900 XT. I’m running at 3840 x 2160 and 144hz. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Classy. When calibrating HDR, do you recommend calibrating while the TV is set to BT2020 or P3? I think I saw you mentioning BT2020 is correct in a recent video, but I can't find it now. Hope you have the time to reply. Thanks.
BT2020
Everything looks over saturated for me when streaming HDR content in 4K with BT 2020 turned on, however, for example, Top Gun Maverick 4K Blu-ray looks incredible with BT 2020 on Samsung S 95C, definitely not oversaturated. Not sure why this is.
Are these the best settings still after any firmware updates since this video came out?
What peak brightness you have set in cp2077 pc. It maxes out at 1500 nits.?
4k 144hz seems to work fine in this video. When did the dropout start to happen on your set?
In ur opinion which one better? Sony a90j 83' or Lg c2 77'? Movies/tv shows use
Could you please make a guide for the s95d? If this is applicable please lmk too
how did you get rid of the 4096 resolutions in the nvidia control panel ?
Hi Classy! Will all your videos be in HDR? Are you using DaVinci Resolve to make the HDR videos? Thank You !
Most will be. Settings videos dont need to be. No, I use Final Cut Pro.

Hey classy, bought my s95c for an amazing price. 55 inch for 1750 euros (basically the same in dollars i guess if you convert it) if i exclude my warrenty and include the 150 euros cashback from samsung. And so far no issues with game mode ( ocb was made in july of 2023) *knocks on wood* . I have one question is the color space in HDR finally fixed? Or do you still need to do custom bt2020 (or native) for hdr
Thanks so much for this Classy. It’s really helpful. Regards from Adelaide Australia. Chris
Hey classy software you using is Calman home for Samsung 2023 for measurements?
No, Calman Ultimate
Classy says to set Series X to 2000 nits, Vincent 1300 so which do I go with?
how you get this screen which is on 38 second, you reаlly press buttons too fast so impossible to see which menu it is, looking for it for an hour but cannot find. I have connected this screen to MacBook and MacBookj believes it is SDR, what I need is to turn it HRD to edit photogrsphs in HDR. Nothing more. Could somebody help?
In your S90C video you recommended changing setting to bt2020 but in this video you recommend leaving at S95C at P3. Do you still stand by that or should I just leave the S90C in P3 also?
This was before that video. I have another video about Samsung auto gamut not being broken with recommended CMS and color settings for bt2020.
@@ClassyTechCalibrations I have a problem. I entered your settings and picture looked fine but I noticed that the color space now says BT709 on every picture mode. I tried resetting picture mode settings to default but it stays the same and I can’t change color space setting out of BT 709. I also noticed that the original settings are t the same as when I got the tv. Do you know what’s going on ? Is there a way to completely reset the tv to just like I first got it and get all defaults back and start over setting it up? I’ve never connected to internet or updated yet. I’m at a loss what happened or what to do.
@@DavidTurner-on2bb it's 709 in SDR content and will change when playing HDR content.
@@ClassyTechCalibrations hmmm ok I just noticed that I was watching something that has the HDR logo but it’s staying in BT 709. @@ClassyTechCalibrations I bought a new Apple 4k tv 3rd gen when I purchased this S90C. I’ve figured out it’s the Apple TV that’s the problem. For example I used DUSNEY + app and played STAR WARS A new Hope. It is in HDR but when I played it and checked picture modes it was playing in SDR. I checked my Apple TV menu and have it set at 4k60 with HDR10+ enabled and I have MATCH DYNAMIC RANGE and MATCH FRAME RATE toggled to ON. For some reason it’s playing Star Wars in SDR instead of HDR. I have to turn off Match Dynamic range to get it to play HDR. I’ve tried multiple settings configurations. It’s like the Apple TV doesn’t recognize content that was upgraded to HDR and I still plays it in original SDR aimless MATCH DYNAMIC RANGE is toggled off.
How should my Apple TV be set so that it will switch appropriately?
Do you have good settings for the x90l? Or can i use the x90k settings
Hi Classy, was just wondering about the shadow detail and gamma settings sliders. I have been watching sdr and hdr black level test videos on youtube and find with 0 and -1 set points that the test video black bars are totally black where it is not suppose to be. Are there any black crush issues with these tv's? I have a S90C 55inch
TH-cam videos usually aren't the correct levels. S90C has slight crushing at the very bottom end 9 ire and under.
@@ClassyTechCalibrations thank you for your feedback. I have no idea what IRE means but will do some research. I have been watching Friends on netflix in SDR and you if you watch someone wearing black clothes or have black hair the black is very crushed or has little to no detail. Maybe it is just the recording that was not as good back then. Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa!
@@ClassyTechCalibrations Hi
Can i use yours settings in my S90C Gen 2 ANAPEAK 512 ? What brightness does this panel have to properly set the HDR sliders?
Hey Classy just something I noticed. When hdmi connection is set to pc, pressing the settings button shows that tv is in HDR 10+ Game mode even though HDR10+ is turned off. When I set the hdmi connection as Game Console it shows as HDR 10 Game mode.

Thank you 😊
And at minute 1:35 ...
Which peak brightness for sdr is the most accurate though?
Thanks for the video Are the settings still usable with the latest firmware?
Yes
@@ClassyTechCalibrations Thank you! My TV says there is an update available? Should it be updated? With the S95B I always heard, don't update 🙈

@@ClassyTechCalibrationsThank you very much ❤ I'm slightly overwhelmed 😆 If I start Disney+ via the TV, i.e. the integrated app, then BT.1886 can be selected. When I launch Disney+ from the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max and go to Picture Settings, BT.1886 is greyed out. I have no idea why 🙈
@@Mr-zu4bv most likely your fire stick settings are forcing high dynamic range on everything. You can go in the settings on it and set it to match dynamic range so SDR content will stay in SDR.
If I set same the brightness, does movie mode is brighter than filmmaker mode?

Thanks for the great review.
1.Which tv has more depth and detailing.( i.e better processor)
2. Which tv has better low content upscaling.
I need you suggestion before buying one
At 55” is it worth it to go S95C over S90C or S95B?
I would go with the S95B. The price is really good right now.
Hi there when I'm in live tv mode the picture is slightly blurry. Would this be a connectivity issue? Picture in apps are perfect. Thanks
Any ideas?
How is the motion for the s90c compare to the G2 I am trying to decide between those 2 in 77inches? Thanks in advance.
