@@t3amb4sh i agree she's good at vocal technic and vibrato and it's pretty normal when you're singing at first you're out of tune but good singer can adjust her/his voice to get into the tune..but this girl was singing with her own tune and ignoring the music..no matter how good you were singing but if you're ignoring the instrumental it sounds bad

Her friend was absolutely right, this gal has a fantastic voice. She's clearly untrained and inexperienced, but has a fantastic gift. With even just a bit of work, she could do a lot with that instrument.
Disagree with your assumptions. She seems used to holding time despite another musician not. That's experience. Very experienced and practice voice no warm up.
@@travis8180 As a singer though, I noticed that she tended to go sharp on a lot of the notes and kept in some American "r" sounds that most trained singers tend not to pronounce. That's not to say that she's a bad singer--in fact, I think her tone quality and vibrato are great--but maybe she took voice lessons as a kid and it's been a while or smth like that.

I was invited by a guitarist on the street to sing once. I've always been shy about my voice but it was one of the most exciting moments of my life and that guy gave me so much courage.

He got her with that "turn around" song :D Btw, it's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler, but there's a cool version by The Dan Band.
She's definitely got some sharps and flats but I think a lot of people don't understand how difficult it can be to sing a song you know well to a different instrumental. There are a lot of cues in the instrumentation that you don't always realize are guiding you until they're gone. You can tell this because she couldn't tell quite where to come in with the lyrics at points, including the beginning.
All of this considered, this is an incredible performance that not many people could produce on the spot with no prep, maybe dry throat, and probably tons of nerves. Great stuff.

You are right, she does have sharp and flats, but very well done just the same. She could use a little voice training. but as you said, those high notes are really difficult.
Some? She got a lot. At least one note was plenty off every two verses. And it's not a matter of being used to an instrumental, especially when it's a song you know by heart you should be used to the key the song revolves around and stay in tune with that key by memory. That's something basic for any good singer and any good musician.
On top of that, you could hear her struggling on the lowest notes of the song and a very prominent head voice in the highest notes, very typical of a female voice.
So, is she a good singer? No, not really, i'd say she's quite average, i don't know what this comment seciton is on about really.
On a more positive note, being average means you're not a hot pile of garbage, so yeah, not too bad

Definitely not purely live, it was obviously edited afterwards, and she might've sounded even more off tune before the video was published.

@@Andrei-nx3pd according to what I heard, some higher and lower pitched areas sounded "robotic". What I mean by robotic is that in those specific notes or even some other notes, her voice immediately did not hit the exact tune, but witin fractions of a second, it immediately sounded as if she somehow managed to get the tune right. Well, even the guy playing the guitar was not sounding much interested in her voice either, or not showing much enthusiasm as he does in other videos. So I am 85% sure her voice was "auto-tuned" before it was publishedm

That is cheating, how can anyone have such a good natural singing voice. I was thinking okay another one of these until she started singing. Just amazing, simply fabulous.
Practice makes perfect! Singers like this do NOT have something that you cannot attain.
I learned to sing 30 years ago, but Chris Leipe's channel on here is very good. He actually gives away real teaching instead of just making teasers to try to get people to pay to subscribe (like most vocal coaches do).

When singing, try LESS hard. It should come easy or you are doing it wrong. There is no reason you can't be this good.
@@StratMatt777 Wrong..... and I hate when people say this. Would practising make me as good as Jordan, Phelps, or Bolts? No because genetics. It doesn't matter how much mastery you have over singing; there are voices that are just more pleasant than others, and that's a fact. You can be just as good in terms of tech, but that won't make up for a shitty voice.

Good grief! What talent. ...and she's beautiful, too! Any one can get a degree...not everyone can sing and make people FEEL the song.
She is pretty, but the VERY first thing I look for in a singer is ability. She's good. Voice.... then very second, even third is how the singer 'looks'.
