If I connect this to the ps5 ? Will it push 4k at 120 for 1440p at 120. If not I’ll might just stay with my inzone m9 because that’s pushed 4k at 120, it may be some gimmick but I see the detail difference from 1080p vs 4k quality
Connecting the PS5 for the first time, this monitor detected it and automatically set it to 1440P resolution. I have to check again, but I didn’t see 4K; just 1080P and 1440P
The 480Hz and 1440P specs are geared more towards PC users since PS5 is no where near 480, or even 240. I wish SONY would give us higher frames for 1440P gaming, but most console gamers are on 4K TVs
I would personally choose pg27aqdp because of USB-C and is also $100 cheaper. I also like the design of the ROG more, but the inzone has a cleaner stand and base. I would have them on a monitor arm anyway
I don’t have a main monitor anymore, I try to use all the new monitors I review for everything besides gaming. It gives me enough experience to talk about them
BRO! I have the same issue with the Windows 11 HDR Calibration! I made a reddit thread and even contacted Sony Support and they told me to replace my monitor despite me clearly stating it's a software issue considering others on reddit reported the same issue! I have tried everything for Game HDR to clip at 1300nits but it only clips at 2550 no matter what :(. It's a bummer because otherwise the monitor is great, just the price is wild
Oh wow ! I just searched it up and saw your Reddit post. I’m glad more are aware of the HDR calibration bug. Do you think it affects the quality of the HDR games ? I would assume it’ll take some time for a new firmware update to fix it or possibly could be a windows or GPU driver bug (but most likely monitor). And I agree that the price is wild, it makes Asus ROG the better value for once 😅
@@FIREWOLFTECH I looked at the page on sony on their website and it says it does not have hdr tone mapping. That's why you should just manually set the nits.
There are certainly nice things about this monitor but in totality it just isn't worth the price Sony is asking. The fact that the display port 2.1 is capped to the lowest spec still means you are running Display Stream Compression. Sony TV's have always been known for above average color calibration out of the box and this monitor lacks in that regard as well. Their own calibration sheet for his example shows it's closer to a 7000k white point not 6500k d65 and it doesn't show color patches at all. Other reviewers have noticed that its color calibration is really lacking. While 480hz is great other monitors are coming to the market with similar 480hz panels and are coming in at a cheaper price point.
For current gen GPUs, 480hz is too high for most AAA titles. Unless if you play less graphically intense games like rocket league, valorent, etc. you're not going to hit 480FPS. It's still nice knowing you'll future proof for later gen GPUs that can hit close to 480FPS
Price is wild 😅 I personally would take 4K dual mode, but keep mind in the 480Hz on these monitors are 1080P versus 1440P on the INZONE M10S. This monitors is more for competitive gamers and esports
I noticed 2 things in ui info: 96-98% usage of the gpu☠️. This really looks not healthy in the long run. I think 480fps will be better for the next gen cards. But really an future proof monitor for those that want 480fps. I rather prefer 144fps at 4k. But damn that wattage: 250+ watts an hour? This means 4 hours every day or 8 hours every day and you hit like 2000 watts a day. Just for one pc. I think that you run way more pc’s a day. So I can’t imagine how much the electricity bills will cost you ☠️. I mean. If you are an gamer and you want to play an marathon weekend. 48 hours… x 250 watts☠️. For just 250 wats 4 hours a day. You probably pay 5-10 euro a day. So this x 365 days…. You probably pay over 15 000 euros a year on electricity or what? And people cry for an ps5 pro price. Lmao. Very nice review. Correct me if I wrong off course. I never did research about high end pc gaming 🤙
Just so you know, 96-98% is optimal and ideal when gaming since your GPU is actually being utilized to its max potential. Another thing to note is that I’m using a 4090 and 7950x3D which are both power hungry and some of the highest end components. It would be worse if I had a 14900KS 😅 but yes high end PCs at the moment can draw A LOT of power ⚡️ Thanks for your feedback
Great reviews guy!
Thanks 🔥
Is that an upgrade of what you got?
Have you tested the PS5 Pro on it? 😊
Looks very sharp
What monitor would you recommend for 4070s and ryzen 7 7700 x or 3d? Wanna get into Story games like GOW or space Marine 2 and maybe some cod
What is the best 27" and 32" monitor you've reviewed for the PS5?
Not this according to other reviews
What app/program do you use to get those stats of your cpu and gpu to show up on your screen?
Top left is MSI afterburner with Riva Tuner and bottom left is NVIDIAs Overlay
Nvida APP (BETA)
@Everesl good catch ! Forget that it’s in beta 😅

If you had to go with the asus 1440p 480hz monitor or this one which would you go with?
LG has one now. I wish I had waited.

we need a review of the 1440 240hz pixio monitor, i dont see reviews that talk about refresh rate, latency, ghosting ect
I'll look into it, but I have many monitors I still need review first 😅

By the time I actually start the review, most likely I’ll already have the PS5 Pro.

Same price as 4K 240Hz 32".

Is it glossy like my gaming monitor? Too bad then plus it does not have custom heatsink like my monitor so it is not worth my money.
If you prefer glossy, then yeah you may not like it as much. I personally prefer matte

I just ignored the slider and set it to 1300 nits. It looks good. So they must not have tone mapping or something.
That’s interesting! I’ll try that out when I start the review video

480hz maybe a little over kill on the GPU I think 240-360hz is the sweet spot
