like seriously I had a fucking hard time for the collectables, because 1) the fast travel message is so damn unnoticeable that I am not aware of it's the end of the level and 2) sometimes it's just no way to know which action is the end of mission trigger (how the fuck do I know I would end the mission if I push the skill switch or go through the portal) and ends up have to play the mission second time for the collectables. I didn't need to do it twice for cultist base only among the the first 5 missions

Holy cow anyone who's played through this game knows how hard these levels are. He smashed through them so fast its hard to see whats even going on and you can't appreciate some of the puzzles. Its like h has the whole game memorized and and can just run through it like going for a jog.
Play nightmare man, so much more fun. I beat this game on UV first but then i wanted to get better and slapped on nightmare. Best choice ive made in a good while.

NM really is well done. I beat UV without much trouble and the jump to NM is Insane, but never feels unfair. It is Very rare that a task requires some one to try Literally as hard as they can, but NM demands nothing less. Despite that, it Never feels unfair. I died to an arena in mission 3 about 14 times, but every one I felt was me making a bad call. I know the rules and took a risk and paid for it, and that just makes me want another shot. And by the end, you're a better player for it. I highly recommend trying it.
This is outrageous. Doom Eternal is a damn sight more challenging than its predecessor and is a decent challenge on Hurt Me Plenty, to see Zero Master dominate on Ultra-Nightmare so fluidly is like poetry. The platforming accuracy is outstanding, let alone the combat.

Not going to lie I thought it was a capture card issue at first because he was still able to play the game without missing a beat... and then I remembered zeromaster probably knows this game better than I know myself at this point....
This is the perfect game to display the possibilities of the freak edge-cases of skill. The regular missions are aided by a fair amount of precognition (knowing what will happen with scripted events/enemies from practice) but those Slayer Gates man... they are but fields of wheat and you are the reaper, Sir.
I didn't know the Slayer played Doom Eternal, this is cool to see his Pov for once. Feels like I'm watching The Real Doom Slayer. The Speed, Aggression, Steadfast and Unyielding. This is Divine.

Played just one level on Ultra-violence, found it rather unsatisfying and then completed the campaign twice in Nightmare. Playing again in Nightmare now, with Extra Life mode turned on. Trying to see if I can reliably clear all levels without dying once, so as to try Ultra Nightmare. A casual gamer who's just looking for a challenge, but not something too difficult, would be utterly slaughtered on Nightmare. This game is among the most punishing shooters I've ever tried.
@Jay marlin Casuals might eventually have a chance of playing at nightmare if they have the time and motivation to actually work for it. But yeah, if they were to just go ahead unprepared, they'll end up getting squashed. I remember hearing Upper Echelon complaining that it was too hard even on Ultra-violence. As for the latter, I think games in the future should have a special 'game journalist' difficulty setting, complete with auto aim and auto-dodge.

Some are pretty ok, but others... Whoever recorded that Doom 2016 gameplay on behalf of Polygon will probably find Eternal's lowest difficulty to be too hard. 🤣

That said, the pretty well known ssg, ballista + nade, ssg, remote detonator combo would still wipe a Marauder out almost as fast as you see here, which ZeroMaster does whenever he doesn't do the ice bomb exploit. You basically can stun lock him in his first attack.
Should this message make sense if "Zero Master" difficulty did exist: All the perks of Ultra Nightmare, enemies hit 3X as hard (leaving you with only 1hp) but with pisspoor accuracy, and only Haste spheres (no Megaspheres on that difficulty!). Are you worthy enough to match his speed?

Doom is a rare example of a game that was made just to be fun and not be bothered to have realistic features. No weapon reloading, no sprinting. Just pure fun and weapon juggling.
I laughed at that first Marauder kill. I expected some badass dodging and movement even for just 3 seconds, but nope just two lock-on bursts while only moving like a few meters in front of him.
your use of the destroyer blade is amazing, as well as your plasma rifle SMVR was using the plasma beam really well too, using weapons that most players pan or think are useless is fun to watch
I liked the effective use of full-auto in the early game. Super fast kills with a mod most people don’t ever use, especially that early when ammo is pretty scarce
I think that what impresses me truly isn't the overall knowledge of the maps including spawn points. It's the amazing dance that they take through every encounter. Balancing all the systems that the developers have in place to mitigate and manage while course correcting constantly. Like. Damn.

In cultist base, the second secret encounter, you can dash through the wall and then hit the melee button to activate the gore nest slightly faster because you dont need to wait for the cooldown of the melee attack.
I am a novice trying to complete the game linearly ( without using mission select to gain extra lives ) that too on hurt me plenty and I have to say you have easily done over a hundred things which I did not even knew were possible.
I need a month for my brain to catch up for what I just saw. I never seen anything like this before. How many hours of practice does it take to complete something like this ? seriously, how do you do it ? Even if i could i would go that fast to me takes some of the fun out of it, sometimes after a fight i sit there appreciating the scenery because it looks awesome with all the work ID put into it.
This guy I believe has gone through thousands of hours of playthrough of not just Doom eternal, but even the older games in the franchise, he has set world records for level completions in Doom I and Doom II. Don’t know if he still holds them though

LOVE the 4k speedrun. So many speedruns are in 1080p, and with youtubes bitrate/compression, fast paced movement like in this game causes a mess. This is a crystal clear, JUICY ass speedrun. Good shit!
What I like about this run is that it doesn’t involve glitches or bug abuse, just skill, memory and speed. After this viseo you have seen basically the top of Doom Eternal campaign
The “any percent” guys who exploit bugs are masters of their craft, but it sure looks horrible on video. I far prefer this type of speed run, and Zero Master is my favorite

your use of the destroyer blade is amazing, as well as your plasma rifle
SMVR was using the plasma beam really well too, using weapons that most players pan or think are useless is fun to watch
I liked the effective use of full-auto in the early game. Super fast kills with a mod most people don’t ever use, especially that early when ammo is pretty scarce

I think that what impresses me truly isn't the overall knowledge of the maps including spawn points. It's the amazing dance that they take through every encounter. Balancing all the systems that the developers have in place to mitigate and manage while course correcting constantly. Like. Damn.

In cultist base, the second secret encounter, you can dash through the wall and then hit the melee button to activate the gore nest slightly faster because you dont need to wait for the cooldown of the melee attack.

I am a novice trying to complete the game linearly ( without using mission select to gain extra lives ) that too on hurt me plenty and I have to say you have easily done over a hundred things which I did not even knew were possible.

I need a month for my brain to catch up for what I just saw. I never seen anything like this before. Propaply an ungodly amount. You can tell he knows the important spawns and he's rarely cramping up, just very smooth gameplay right here.
Even if i could i would go that fast to me takes some of the fun out of it, sometimes after a fight i sit there appreciating the scenery because it looks awesome with all the work ID put into it.
zero master is the god of doom, so it would take him like two whole campaign saves and some practice of some long levels and then ultra nightmare

This guy I believe has gone through thousands of hours of playthrough of not just Doom eternal, but even the older games in the franchise, he has set world records for level completions in Doom I and Doom II. Don’t know if he still holds them though

it's pretty much impossible to beat doom eternal with no dashing, the platforming was built around the whole ability.
@@ihavewaited90daystochangem51 I would call it no combat dashing, you can dash and jump, just not in combat sections.
Zero master can actually wake up at 6:00 finish an entire playthrough and still have time to make it to work at 9:00.

LOVE the 4k speedrun. So many speedruns are in 1080p, and with youtubes bitrate/compression, fast paced movement like in this game causes a mess. This is a crystal clear, JUICY ass speedrun. Good shit!

What I like about this run is that it doesn’t involve glitches or bug abuse, just skill, memory and speed. After this viseo you have seen basically the top of Doom Eternal campaign
The “any percent” guys who exploit bugs are masters of their craft, but it sure looks horrible on video. I far prefer this type of speed run, and Zero Master is my favorite
