WOW, your video is awesome and I would like to thank you for taking the time to put it together for us crazy ADHD adults. I loom knitted a beautiful baby blanket with a 3D princess doll on the front, and I really wanted to line the back. I think that this way might just work perfect for me, so again thank you very much for sharing your know how it is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for this tutorial. I've made 2 baby blankets, and 2 toddler size blankets, as a some what beginner was not an easy task. I had the brilliant idea to sew fleece fabric on the back to make them more cozy. Well, I had to buy a machine having no idea how to use it😆. I hope I don't ruin them. Your video was helpful. Wish me luck! God bless!
Love the tutorial! I was searching for a way to sew a liner to a baby blanket I crocheted. I would of never thought of using tissue paper but that makes so much sense. I was afraid to use my machine for fear the dog feet would catch the yarn! Thank you again!
Yolanda, you do a great job making these easy to understand. I love to crochet, but I am not a confident sewing-machine person. You have made me want to try this! Blessings, Janis
Nice video! I plan on hand-sewing my knitted blanket to the backing, but as I progress with backing knitted projects, I may go this route. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Yolanda, I'm so glad you did this video. I usually hand sew linings to my knitting/crochet projects but have always wanted to use the sewing machine. Worried about making a mess of it!
amazing! it's soooo easy when u do it .. please if u can make tutorial about how to sew underskirt for crocheted dresses and how to sew them together ...thank you♡♡♡♡
Lol I am putting flannel on my Afghan because I hate that my toes poke through.. Added warmth! Thank you for the how to. Much appreciated. Blessings and Happy hooking. 💜
Thank you Yolanda, This is very helpful . I am always worried with a baby blanket that little fingers and toes will get caught in the holes. This will prevent that!
Thank you Yolanda for such a great tutorial! I've been searching for the best way to sew fabric to my crochet blankets and your tutorial has been the best! 💓
Hi Yolanda. Thank you for the tutorial on sewing a lining onto a crochet blanket. It was extremely helpful. I would like to know if you have any suggestions on sewing a lining onto a blanket with a chevron edging?
This is fabulous, Yolanda, many thanks for tip. Can you please also do a video on lining beanie hats, thank you for your tutorials, it's absolutely so helpful x
I have a crop top I crocheted that I wanted to swap with the original top of the dress that is fabric. I am hoping this video helps me. I love all your videos! and would love to see some sewing ones. I am a beginner sewer but intermediate crocheter!
Thanks for the tutorial. I was actually thinking about doing this for a baby shower gift. I have that same sewing machine and one of the reasons I purchased it was because of the speed settings. In case you didn't know the arrows on the front control the speed.
+Yolanda Soto Lopez I misread the subtitle I thought you said I didn't know it was going this fast lol. I can't have it on the fastest speed but try to keep it a little more than the middle speed because I have a pup table and just use the start/stop buttons. But you're right the slowest speed is way too slow.
Thank you for this! I am so scared of my sewing machine! My mom bought it as a present for me like 4-5 years ago, and I've been so afraid to learn how to use it! I wish you could come walk me through it in person. Hahaha This makes it seem simple!
Oh, don't be afraid. It just takes time to learn. lots of great videos on TH-cam ... have you seen videos from my friend Vanessa on CraftyGemini. She has tons of sewing videos
re: sewing together blocks, i make quilts. Now I'm making a sampler knitted blanket I want to put backing on. Brigida Flores and I both want to see a video how you would put blocks together please!
This is great! I’m going line a large blanket, has anyone run into issues where the middle of the crochet and the lining blanket gets wonky or pulls away?
I wish I knew this before I gifted a crocheted blanket to my cousin for her daughter! She doesnt use it, but I gave it to her before I knew what blocking was and I wanted to add fabric to the back of it, but didn't know how to attach it!😳 oh well!😶 I'll use this tutorial to add fabric to another project I'm working on!😃 Thank you so much!😉 Now all I needa do is save up some money to buy a sewing machine!😅
Can you use this method with a baby blanket that is made out of baby Bernat blanket yarn? The border on the blanket is two rows of single crochet all around. Thanks for the video!
would you just make. a whole blanket and then use this technique to add a backing to the whole thing? or back each square and then somehow sew them all together? ~thanks!
love your channel.. I have a question I pinned down the blanket to the fabric but on two sides and the blanket shifted. How can I get the blanket to not shift while sewing? should I use the sheets that you got from the 99 cent store would that stop the blanket from shifting?
My beloved Auntie died last year and left me two crocheted blankets. I found the holes left the cold in so this is amazing, thank you! But can you not use your walking foot instead of the paper?
Hello, I love your videos, just one question though, do u stitch through the center of your work. If not, can you so there is no bunching, like for larger blankets ? Or do you just stitch around the edges. How do you handle washing these projects? Sorry that's more than one question
Hola Yolanda I wanted to ask you what brother swing machine is that am planning on getting my wife a swing machine but she talks a lot of the brother machine that they are good what do you think...
instead of using stabilizer or tissue paper, could you knit or crochet a border like you did (maybe a couple rows), then when hemming the lining fabric, fold it over the border you made on the crochet? (essentially the border is sandwiched between the lining fabric.)
Sande E: It is a Brother CS-6000i sewing machine. I own this machine and love it! It is the best sewing machine I have ever used. You can find it on Amazon for $149. You can either sew with or without the foot, it comes with a bunch of different feet, a quilting table, it can self thread, has a load of different stitches, the bobbin is drop-in, (which I love!), and just a whole bunch of other awesomeness!

oooo thats great.
I really like the pattern of this blanket. do you have a video of this blanket?
Hi , great video!!! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏. What size needle do you recommend?
This is great! I’m going line a large blanket, has anyone run into issues where the middle of the crochet and the lining blanket gets wonky or pulls away?
You can tie both layers with small strands of yarn to keep it all together if needed
Thank you for this tutorial!
Thank you for a great video!! Should I wash my fabric first in case of any shrinkage before sewing it to my blanket?
Nicole B that's up to you. I would definitely wash cotton
podrías grabarlo en español? por favor, gracias muy útil este video

I'm making a queen size blanket, do you think this is something I could do with that?
My beloved Auntie died last year and left me two crocheted blankets. I found the holes left the cold in so this is amazing, thank you! But can you not use your walking foot instead of the paper?
The white thing is called a presser foot I believe
Hello, I love your videos, just one question though, do u stitch through the center of your work. If not, can you so there is no bunching, like for larger blankets ? Or do you just stitch around the edges. How do you handle washing these projects? Sorry that's more than one question
+tthatesu2 I would pre-wash everything, including your blanket or yarn project before sewing together.
Hola Yolanda I wanted to ask you what brother swing machine is that am planning on getting my wife a swing machine but she talks a lot of the brother machine that they are good what do you think...

Forever Lanae yes u could. ☺
Forever Lanae , that's a great tip!😍 thanks!🤗😅
Great idea, you are a star!
Is there a problem with uneven shrinkage when you wash the item since you aren't putting any stitches in the middle? Great video!😎
I haven't found that to be a problem so far.. but you could tie little yarn pieces (like bows) onto it if you like.
Although I have 2 sewing machines I always have better control sewing by hand. Will this work ok if I see by hand?
I love how you use dollar tree items. I work for the local dollar tree.
could you block to match the size of the crochet blanket to the fabric?
What brand is ur sewing machine? I'm so intimidated by them so I was wondering which one I should get. Thnks! Love ur videos!!!
Sande E: It is a Brother CS-6000i sewing machine. I own this machine and love it! It is the best sewing machine I have ever used. You can find it on Amazon for $149.
