I spent 17 years looking for this song... I just listen this song once or twice when I was 13 or 14 old and just remembered the harmonica (I didn't speak English). Very times I looked for it, tonight I finally find and worthed effort ... Beautifull song, Thanks for the post!!
Am I the only one who cries while listening to this beautiful song? They captured all the desperation, melancholia, and nostalgic that comes when you love so much, but in a beautiful and lightly way.
This is it, honesty, love, pain, happiness, sadness, melodies, beauty, thank you The Cardigans. I always say this is my favorite song ever, when someone asks.
Back in high school I remember listening to the cardigans and falling in love with the songs, what memories!! Those days searching my love and now with the right one and my little girl.
Diego Farías absolutely agreed! I just found out this gem! It’s beautiful, sweet, but melancholic and a with a little desperation and regrets as well. It’s lightly, but makes me feel a little sad and nostalgic. Listening with no-stopping in 2018.
I once said I love you to a girl knowing she had commitment issues and her reaction would be to end things with me. It's what I wanted, I really liked her and the way it was going she was gonna be knocked up and I would be stuck. So instead I took the cowards way out and let her end it bcz of the I love you. Worst part....... I think she loved me. Anyway I'm just venting doubt you will see this.
Han pasado 20 años y está canción sigue sonando, me gusta mucho este grupo de The Cardigans, desde mi adolescencia sigo escuchando a esta espectacular banda. Quien sigue escuchando este clásico en Septiembre del 2.022.
Yes Nina Persson is really really AMAZING and her voice is worth more than gold in my opinion, because she has the absolutely most beautiful voice i've ever heard in my life ever.
I was a big fan of the cardigans back then, but only now I realize how fucking great they were. Hope theyll reunite some day to see them playin live one more time...
I love this song so much! I love the vocals, the lyrics, the music video; I love everything about this song! Thank you Nina and Peter for composing one of my favorites songs ever :)
I fell in love with a French girl in university, she had a steady boyfriend, we became really good friends and had a great 4 months but then she had to return to France. Before she left, she gave me her journal so that I can write her a farewell note, I wrote the lyrics of this song. She had already understood that I had so desperately fallen in love with her but these lyrics were my official love confession. After she left I couldn't listen to this song for a long time. Now whenever I listen to this I feel this warm gratitude and mellow familiarity filled with nostalgia.
What a nice history. So, I know what you mean. I've passed through something like this, and unfortunately life has such things like this. Make a song my friend with this, make a song.
I think they're worth being recognizable also as classics because these are so old. I guess even if you don't know them it might give you nostalgia vibes
I heard this song back in the day and didn't think much of it. Almost 20 years later i'm listening to it again and i am amazed at the amazing production, the lyrics and general beautiful musicianship. Man the Cardigans were really amazing. Too bad we only consider their general, well known hits, because their later music is amazing
I loved how different this was to anything they did or anyone was doing .I was thinking what’s this? Don’t sound like cardigans usual stuff .. then I absolutely loved it!! Played it repeatedly. Beautiful country/pop track!!!
I'm so agree with you on that one because i listen to The Cardigans all the time every day because they're my absolute favorite rock band EVER and i just can't get enough of their beautiful songs and Nina's BEAUTIFUL voice.

I am listening to all The Cardigans songs in 2018 because Nina is the best singer songwriter in the world EVER and she has the most beautiful voice EVER and The Cardigans is the best rock band EVER existed and i really can't get enough of all their beautiful songs.
Nina sang me to sleep every night, and I mean every single night, while in my cot, in a canvass tent, on the outskirts of Baghdad for six straight months of hell in 2003. Her voice was the only sound that could drown out the cacophony of the ceaseless bombs and gunfire, and put my mind at ease so I could fall asleep.
OIF should've never happened and I'm sorry ya'll had to get sent to that desert. In memory of the boys that will never grow old because of some geopolitical mess.

It's a great song and the video too
Well done man, I’ve only looked for a song four years once so you beat me there. And it’s a really nice tune.
Love this and many of their other songs...
One of best Cardigans' songs. Very underrated. Very romantic.
Indeed ☺️
I was hooked instantly.
I love this song ❤️
Are you sure you haven't robbed "underrated" as a description from billions of other music fans these days?
It isn't that romantic. It's kinda twisted (in a good way).
One of the most beautiful songs ever recorded
I agree
Never heard it before , grabbed me very quickly
Its not and i like it.
It's one of the most beautiful songs EVER recorded on one of the most beautiful albums EVER made in the world.

It's really " lovefool " .
Am I the only one who cries while listening to this beautiful song? They captured all the desperation, melancholia, and nostalgic that comes when you love so much, but in a beautiful and lightly way.
I cry too
I've been crying the whole weekend because I'm going through what the song talks about. Impressive storytelling tbh, it's what got me sobbing.
Nope
No, you're not the only one 😢❤
You definitely are not...
I'm still here in 2024. Thank you Cardigans for giving us songs that will forever inspire. 💙💙💙💙🇳🇦🇳🇦🇳🇦

Nina's vocals just pierce my soul. This whole album is a phenomenal sucker punch in the feels.
I am a metalhead normally listening to thrash metal, death metal and etc., but I love this song. I guess I also have a soft side of me.

Same but with a South African girl. Nearly 20 years later these lyrics still makes me feel the pain.

I rediscovered the Cardigans just recently, I had never heard their later works. Just brilliant
Same here and I think they really got "better" !!!
I think they're worth being recognizable also as classics because these are so old. I guess even if you don't know them it might give you nostalgia vibes

Aptly, the lyrics to the Buffalo Springfield track of the same name would have fitted your situation quite well too, I guess.
Glad you made it through to the other side. We are grateful for your service.
I love the dynamics of this song so relaxing I really miss the 90s
This album and this song is not from the 90's it's from 2003 because this song is from the Long Gone Before Dayligth album.
