- One of India’s most highly regarded former Home Secretary says “secular Hindus are uncomfortable, frustrated” adding “and don’t know what should we do in Modi’s India”. Gopal Pillai said if the present treatment of Muslims is not checked and reversed then India could be 10 years away from danger point which he described as “civil disturbance”. At one point in the interview he even briefly accepted India could face “civil war”.
Mr. Pillai said if Prime Minister Modi and his government do not reverse the present treatment of Muslims, which includes cattle lynchings, economic boycotts and othering, “future generations will hold Modi and his government responsible for endangering India”.
This 45-minute interview was arranged at Mr. Pillai’s request after he had seen an interview put out last week with Ziya Us Salam on the question ‘What is it like to be a Muslim in Narendra Modi’s India?’ Mr. Pillai suggested that we should do an interview on the subject ‘What is it like to be a secular Hindu in Narendra Modi’s India?’ In the interview that followed Mr. Pillai said he had suggested this subject because, as he put it, “Muslims should know Hindus support them and do not accept lynchings, boycotts or calls for genocide”. Mr. Pillai said Hindus want to “live in harmony and peace”.

Mr Pillai has been enlightening on the current situation in India. Majority of Indians don't support Modi on his targetting Muslims

Sadly, as 'secular Hindu' what I have noticed is, more often than not, Hindus accept what's going wrong, while I doubt it's the other way round.
I've seen Muslim friends of mine 'acting liberal' in front of me as I speak against BJP govt. However, when asked about their thoughts on something related to Islam I might disagree with, say religious conversion (they think it's okay to convert to a Muslim but not the other way round), they tag me as a 'Bhakt' or a 'Communal'. I am not. I just want to know if you share my thoughts or whether it's all just a show, to coax me into continuing talking against the BJP. This makes me rethink my 'secularism'.

A lot of people in UK, USA and other western countries are converting to Islam thanks to the forceful implementation of LGBTQ community in schools.
Thanks to that, Even Christians are now becoming more like Muslims to salvage their dignity for allowing mental illnesses like (Furry community, Drags Queens, Baby fetishists etc etc) to spread throughout their countries.
Some whole families are converting to Islam just to escape LGBTQ ideology because Christianity is super soft and likes to be a doormat and BDSM buddy to every community around them and won't stand upto itself like Islam does.
Islam is strong in it's ways, it has suddenly become very popular among those searching for a different religion to adopt, Buddhism was very popular before but it has literally destroyed its own image ever since Rohingya Genocide happened.
Hinduism is almost dead thanks to Andh Bhakt epidemic and blatant fascism it has been showing since 9 years.
At this point I can assure you once Modi is off the throne, A lot of people will convert to Islam by their own free will, just like how people are doing in the West.

Has Jan Dhan, gas cylinder, toilets, Covid vaccine and other direct benefits have been restricted to only hindus? No. That is the problem for these "secularists". All these years, were other minorities pampered like the muslims? No. All this due to vote bank politics which Modi has done away with. This is secular India. All are equal.

You don't have to take everything literally. Also, if it was Baba Saheb's India then do you think that these much of injustice is happening right now? Unfortunately right now authoritarian right wing government in power who believe in crony capitalism and in divide and rule policy. There's nothing wrong in right wing government being in power. Problem begins when they start focusing more on staying in power using religion and crony capitalism rather than bringing social justice, providing basic infrastructure.

If muslims stop this drama that they came to india with babar or akbar, if almost every second muslim guy stops claiming that he is syed or sheikh, if they stop calling themselves abu(as if they came from arabia), if they behave culturally like they should, and not like some imports from foreign land, there will be no problem.
Truth starts with accepting who you are.
At least the arabs know the truth. They dont accept indian muslims as arab even if the indian muslim is called abu ahmed, abu bin ahmed or al ahmed.

Article 25 says freedom of conscience ,freedom to practice religion,freedom to profess religion is guuarnteed but restriction of subject to public order and Morality. Of course what is morality and what is conscience is not defined

So now my question is islamic scripture against freedom of conscience of article 25 as it's not moral to kill someone if he just leaves islam as per thier books
