    I love mine. Been using it constantly. One thing I tend to do is wander aimlessly exploring dozens and dozens of back roads with the gps on. Then once thoroughly lost hit home! Once home I can go into the tracking setting to see where I went. I can then save it as a route as well. It’s opened up a whole new world of exploring for me. Won’t leave home without it!
    I also have mine mounted to the rubber mounted handlebars. Not the bar up front. It’s also less of a reach if you need to change screens etc. My phone lives in my tank bag continuously being charged. Added my Cardo and it makes an awesome system.

    I own this until and agree it's great. I don't use it in my truck I have their RV one there. But never thought about the waterways maps on it. I hope they put it on there

      I am still working on the water ways, I think there may be an option, I just need to save up the money and buy it, I think It may work based on some short conversations with the folks at Garmin. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment and know it is appreciated. I hope you have a blessed weekend.

    Didn’t catch weather or not you mentioned if it comes with a mounting bracket for bike.

    • @Heartlanddualsport
      @Heartlanddualsport  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It comes with a bracket so you can easily take the unit off or on. However I did have to buy a ram mount for the unit. Sorry I missed that. Thank you for asking and I hope you have a blessed weekend.

    Hey Dale! been watching your videos for a while now. Been riding for 40 years on and off road. Finally bought a '23 KLR650s ( yes I'm vertically challenged lol) Have a ton of questions but the one for today is. Garmin XT or XT2? I'm not rich but not poor. Id saving the $120 worth it or just get the new one? Thanks, Chris

      Brother, I can tell you there is some good changes with the new one, with that said, if a guy is wanting to save some money, the one I have is awesome. I use it in my jeep when I am not riding. It does cost extra for the other mount etc I will go onto say, I am perfectly happy with the one I have and I dont see a need to replace it anytime soon. If you are like me, the original one, is great, works great and I would use the other 100 you can save and get some other kind of gear and or use it for fuel and camping fees and go on another mini trip with the money. I hope this helps, please feel free to reach out any time and thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment, I truly appreciate it.
      Thanks again, every comment and like etc, helps this little channel out and I am trying to make this and my other channel my full time job. Thank you and have a blessed weekend. If I can help in anyway , let me know and congrats on your new bike, welcome to the family and I am always here to help, that is what brings me the most joy in life is helping others.
      Have a blessed weekend.

    I am looking into purchasing a zumo but haven't decided if I want the xt or the xt2. Have you had any experience with the xt2? I know it is more expensive but would it be worth the extra money if you had the money to spend? I'm a new subscriber and I was wondering where in Texas you live? I'm in the Houston area. Man has it been HOT and HUMID here..

      welcome to the channel my friend.
      I hav eno experience with the second version, I just recently found out they even have one. I need to pull the specs, but I can say this I love mine and I am sure the second one has some fun features, I just dont know what they would be yet. I will do what I can to find out to give you a better answer, thanks for the sub and welcome to the channel. Thank you and have a blessed weekend.

      OK, some of the new features, The XT2 has a new tool called route shaping which could make it easier and or funner to plan route, by pushing on the map, You can do routes and plans them with he xt, the xt2, looks like it may be easier to add a way point if you will. The screen size may be a tough bigger on the XT2, I think the xt is a 5 inch and xt2 is 6inch. The xt 2 has a new app, you can use with the device, if you ride with others, all they have to do is download the app and join your group and then you can see them on the map along with yourself, might be a fun feature to have and they dont have to have the xt2 as far as I can tell. I think those are the 3 biggest features and some of which I think would be cool and or cool to have. I hope this helps. if I had the money, I would probably get the xt2 for the new features. I would then put the XT in my jeep and leave it. there. Both are going to be great units and I think you would be happy with either one.
      Let us know what you decide.

    • @Heartlanddualsport
      @Heartlanddualsport  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh I agree it’s expensive. I too am not rich, far from it and on a fixed income. I do love paper maps as well. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed weekend.
