9 holes with only an 8-iron & putter. Is defence the best form of attack?

What can you learn from using just an 8-iron?
I played 9 holes at Lincoln Golf Centre with only an 8-iron and my putter. It's a short course at only 1960 yards but certainly found some new shots that may come in useful in the future.

Excellent content this, so funny it was your best score on this course to date. You should do a "luck of the draw" next time, where have to play the full round with that club and putter lol
