Had an interview today. I got the job but they asked me to watch something like this to get familiar with it and see if it’s something I’m interested in. Honestly seems like a decent job
Job seems pretty straight forward. I got a call back for an interview, think I’ll be taking it if offered. Thanks for the upload, good to get a feel for the work prior to jumping into it.
Fellow Utility Locator in California here yall need a computer desk, hayhook and better Sketching software that has a map to draw in. Good video though.
It isn't required in many states, but is required in Ontario, Canada, where this was filmed. It's part of the contract to have a hard copy of the locate data, because paint and flags can we disrupted.
I don’t know what y’all do but there’s been a truck sitting in front of my house for 2 days with some shady dude inside doing nothing for hours 🤔 it’s kind of creeping me out
We understand your concern and appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. Utility locators often sit and wait in their trucks to be ready to respond to customer requests or dispatch calls to efficiently reach their designated work area. They will also sit in their trucks for long periods to review job orders, update records, and coordinate with their team or supervisor. To determine if this incident is something to be concerned about, please contact us at info@multiview.ca or 1-800-363-3116. We will be happy to investigate this issue further and therefore require additional information to do so.
It’s day 4 and dude is still sitting in front of my house in his truck. One of the neighbors came out and questioned him because it is very odd to see someone parked outside for like 9 hours for 4 days now 😳 he’s not outside doing anything. Just sitting. How long will he be sitting here for cuz it is an uneasy feeling having someone constantly sitting outside your house
@Snowiesphotography We understand your concern and are happy to resolve this issue for you. However, we will require additional information such as the number of the vehicle, street name/location of the parked vehicle, etc. We encourage you to call us immediately at 1-800-363-3116 or email info@multiview.ca.
Thank you for your interest in remote employment opportunities with multiVIEW. Unfortunately, we do operate or offer service coverage in the U.S. However, there are similar utility-locating service companies across the U.S. that offer remote work options. I recommend exploring job search websites and remote job boards to find the position and company that aligns with your skills and interests. Best of luck in your job search.
@ thank you i started with usic and there’s ton of overtime. I’m the type of person who likes overtime and money, yes I also enjoy my free time as well but I’m just a go getter. Thank you for getting back to me.
Training time can depend on the number of utility types and how data are reported. For basic training, expect 3-6 weeks. However, you will learn for years.
Thank you for the video. I think its great to educate newer Utility Locators, and using the VLOC ML3 is a solid tool to help with accurate locates!

I mean he can be outside as long as he want if he’s not blocking your drive way the roads are part of the city
how depth can go, with that locator..can go 7metre above?..for hdd pipe?
It depends on the soil type and strength of the conductor. Generally, utilities located with this device are not buried that deep.
1:25 what's that tool to detect the underground utility ?
