This is my childhood right here, use to get up every saturday morning an these commercials would come on. Brings back ton of memories of being a kid in the 80s era.
It was mandatory as a kid to get up at 7am on saturday morning, grab a bowl of cereal and watch cartoons all morning and then go out to play. Kids today will never have days like those in the 80's and it's just sad.
Yes indeed!!! My parents would go out and bring me breakfast from Burger King. I’d be in heaven from 7:00am to noon. Then I’d get choose what fun outing we could do. I felt sorry that my little sister, nieces and nephews will never experience this.
The voiceover heard throughout the end credits and "This is ABC" bumpers were v/o by the late Ed Jordan, Jordan was in his final year as a staff announcer with the network before retiring.
I thought he stayed until September 5, 1992 (last day of the 1991-92 season) for ABC Saturday Mornings? He still did the credit voiceovers for the following two seasons (1990-91, 1991-92), i think.
The adorable children on the “Dressing Pretty” advert will be in their 40’s now and half of the people in there commercials are either older or way older than before but not as old as 50 or 60 or old or dead or occasionally, in prison. The toys are probably being taken care of and played with or in a closet wasting away or being taken out sometimes or museum being preserved or somewhere on E-Bay and Amazon being sold and betted for either to keep or be pawned.
Is it wrong that I want to visit the Main Hobby Center? I mean, I live nowhere near PA but I googled it yesterday and apparently, it's still going strong.
@Kyle It got flagged for copyright too many times to where he finally just took everything down and walked away before the channel was shut down for good. The channel itself was there the last time I checked, but all the commercial uploads were taken down.
Hi, do you happen to have an interview with a singer Basia from 27th October 1988 (ABC). The interviewer was called Chantelle I think. If yes, can I contact you, please? Thanks.

With a blanket and pillow... Best time to be a kid!
Try 6:15am. Muppet babies came on at 6:30am central time.
I was 9 years old at the time. Here’s to me watching these on this date of, Wednesday, February 26, 2020
I was 9, 10 around this time and this all brings back memories.
Me too, this era was the best of times .
I was 8. Still good times though. Just amazing. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

@@daveh8316 Would you want to do it over exactly the same 🤔
@@AshErin8304 yes!!!!!!
I was 5 when this aired. I still remember it
I still remember Gummi Bears coming on and me knowing all the good cartoons were over.
I was only four years old at the time, yet somehow remember that McDonald's commercial with Birdie flying. Weird.

I see. You know the ABC voice announcer.

@@averymerrick I think it might have actually been Sid Doherty doing that.

...so much nostalgia.
I was 3 and 4 in 1989. It was a good time. I remember having a Ghostbusters coloring book.
4:02 for the Real Ghostbusters intro. I’m an obsessed fan of Ghostbusters.
Had the McNuggets, and the drink was probably used as a model for Master Shake.
“I’m Getting FIVE a Week!”
“I’m Getting TEN a Week!”
“I’m Getting OUT of Here!”

Interesting ABC commercials.
Omggg I was just thinking about those plastic chicken nuggets toys from McDonald’s 😭 that’s so weird 😅
