CBS Saturday Morning Commercials from March 10, 1990

From airings of "Garfield & Friends," "Dink, the Little Dinosaur," and "The California Raisin Show."
Aired over (former) CBS affiliate: WAGA-TV 5 in Atlanta, GA (now a FOX affiliate).
My most recent eBay find. And a surprisingly decent one at that. All of the cartoons that are on this tape come from local Atlanta TV stations, like WATL-TV 36 for the DuckTales cartoons (which will be uploaded next), and WAGA-TV 5 when it was a CBS affiliate!
Unfortunately, the CBS stuff stops abruptly because the tape runs out before the closing credits could run, mostly due to the DuckTales episodes at the beginning of the tape. However, this should still be excellent retro material for anyone craving nostalgic content.
This is also the second time that I use my new (to my setup) Panasonic DMR-ES15, so that the quality of the tapes can be boosted to an extent. I must say, that these are the best that any of my tapes have ever looked. I hopefully won't eat my words and I find an early version of the Big VooDoo TBC-10 at a thrift store or something... hopefully?
Not much else to say about this tape, except to stay tuned for the DuckTales content that came first on this tape!

good stuff. preserving animation history correctly. it's crazy how kids will never know what this part of television was as in experiencing it. it's something you had to be there to fully understand.

The kid at the end of the McDonald's commercial is referring to EEGs, the practice of detecting brain waves.
I remember those ads from "Pee-wee's Playhouse"!

2:52 When I grow up. one of the last WIGP segments with the McDonald's logo in the end/black background, the WIGP segments would soon have the McD's logo in the beginning/blue background with kid on pogo stick to make the "M" logo. that would be used for the remainder of its run until circa mid-1992. Food folks & Fun became the new slogan around spring 1990, thus the Good Time Great Taste jingle was in its final days in March 1990.

In Baltimore,MD WBAL-TV 11 was the CBS Affiliate at this time.
11 and 2 switched networks a few times back then.
@@billybarnett2846 Ch. 11 was with NBC till 1981 when it switched to CBS and then switched again back to NBC in 1995. Ch.2 was with CBS till 1981 when it went to NBC and then 1995 when it went to ABC from Ch. 13.
