I was 7 years old and my family had just moved to the US. After growing up with 2 TV stations with no kid's programming, having American TV overloaded my brain! I was entranced on Saturday mornings, and those commercials seemed to be speaking to me personally telling me to beg my parents for everything I saw advertised. Everything was an ad, even the shows themselves.
Where was you living at before arriving to the US. ? I see in your comments that in your country you had only 2 TV stations with no children’s programming which was sad until the day your luck change when you came here to watch American TV & had watched every cartoon show that you’ve never watched back in your country before .
What a great time to be a kid. There were commercials for Transformers, Go Bots, Kronoform and Apple Jacks cereal had free "Star Bots" in their boxes. Plus He-Man, GI Joe, etc. Love it.
Wow...just put me back in front of my parents console tv with a bowl of cereal & nothing to worry about except what time my buddies were coming over for wiffle ball
I remember watching these ad over 35 years ago during the time when Saturday mornings were the joint because CBS always aired commercials like these every Saturday morning .
I always heard that Dungeons and Dragons weren't very successful in USA, such a shame! Here in Brazil it was a success, so much so, that reruns were aired well into the 00s.
It was actually pretty popular in the US too. Reruns continued all though the 80s and the Fox network brought it back for a limited run sometime around 2003.
I hated the original Land of the Lost is that Sharptooth like T-Rex opens his mouth coming close to you eating you for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This freaks me out all the time! Petrie screams in The Land Before Time "AAAAAHHHH! Sharptooth!"
Man, I would love to be able to track down those Kronoform watches! Taco Villa?? Never heard of it. It's cool seeing the Lino & Mum-Ra figures that I had, as a small child, in the 80s. I remember the CBS Storybreak, I used to love watching those!! I wonder why they got rid of the Cookie Cop & Cookie Crook, as mascots for Cookie Crisp? They're way more memorable than that bland ass wolf mascot that Cookie Crisp has now.
I remember cbs story break Surprisingly it’s one of Hanna barbera’s unexpected hits the show still holds up I actually used to watch the how to eat fried worms one at school While I do want the show on dvd I can kind of understand why it’s not out on dvd It’s most likely in rights hell

From priceless childhood memories to today's time of killing, drugs, divided times, t.v that promotes nothing educational. Unbelievable!
I like how KFDA muted the Get Along Gang during the CB&S Show 😁😁😁😁😁
