    Bro everyone gives me the side eye when I tell them I ride a 150 XC-W. Been riding big bore bikes for most of my riding career and im telling you, there is just something special about these things. They rip harder than you think and boy are they fun! Its like riding a mountain bike with an engine! (boyhood fantasy) They are also great learning tools. Nothing will teach you clutch control like a sketchy uphill on a 150. Your left hand becomes your traction control! Great video as always!

      I’m thinking the exact same. A 150 would tech me so much and I’d have so much fun learning. What a bike

      @@MidwestMXLife have you riden the 150 tpi bike ? Would like to see how it compares 150 tpi wasn’t bad bud signed off way ti early and lost the top end the older carb model had , be good to see if the tbi revs harder and longer …..

    I weigh 115kg and ride a 2020 150 and can easily keep up with a whole crew of 300's in a hard enduro ride.

    I live in South Africa an have 09 ktm 200 xcw and of all the bikes iv owned i agree the smaller cc 2 smokes just have you smiling all the way. Have to be more active with the gears and clutch but when you have it down its just to much fun. Would love to try the new 150s tho. Great content, Love the vids

    Great review of the bikes BTW.

    The 150 is an amazing bike, the only thing it ever lacked in was long technical hills, but you get used to using the clutch and shifting, it made me a better rider for sure, never finished a hare scramble without stopping till i bought it. great trainer bike, light, amazing in the tight and technical, mad top end for a small bike!

    I’m 15 about 5’6 I’m on a 85 rn but looking to go to a bigger faster bike do you think a 125 2 stroke is the best route or even like a 250f or 150 2 stroke

    Looked like fun, I think I wan't the old previous gen TPI Husqvarna TE150/TE150i I can't even ride yet tbh. However I wondered if it is possible on these new electronic powervalve TBI 2 bikes if it will be possible to remap the bike so the powervale opens sooner?? Did you try both maps? Is the bike a bit stiff? I wan't the older TPI husqvarna because iv'e heard that the suspension and frame(frame matters more, Suspension can be changed) come softer(I'm only about 65ish kg), and the TPI offer more traction. I will get one Once I get some money...

    That bike looks super fun. Totally different from what I ride for a smile. I have a 2021 pitster pro fse 190 pit bike and you’d be surprised how well it handles slow and fast stuff. Lol little rippers rule. 😂

    Nice to see! I was in a ktm store in sweden, they recomended this bike, so I must test the bike first and 300 to compare against 150. I have competed in motocross before, then where 250f my favorit bike. I Haven't ridden a bike in 7 years 😅 so I thought I'd start with enduro, since we're out in the country, there are long tracks to drive on 😍

      @yukonjon5964 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      this is why when we think we want a 300, in reality the 250 is more peppy and fun in most cases. and now with the more torque of TBi, the 250 pulls hard down low. but then so does the TBi 150. just cant go wrong with any of them!

  • @liam-yw2ys

    Are we going to see a 150 exc on channel? as I remember you saying about maybe getting 350 for the more open events I think 150 will just as good i my opinion on open stuff

    I would be curious how it is lofting the front end on the 150 versus a 250. The 150 probably needs to be at just the right RPM. I guess the 250 would also.😃

    Ive been thinking about transitioning from mx to enduro (novice rider) and cant decide whether i would get the 150, 250 or 300. The 250 is the one ive thought the most as I've rode a 250 2 stroke before

    • @yukonjon5964
      @yukonjon5964 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      if you have any hills or altitude i'd suggest the 250. 300 just feels slightly slow and heavy due to the rotating mass. if you ride tight woods and not much mud, sand or big hills, you may love the 150 the most.

  • @neumann534
    @neumann534 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    i thought the whole point of the TBI/TPI that altitude makes no difference. that the ECU can compensate for it. im surprised the 150 had attitude sickness 🙂

    • @jimtitt3571
      @jimtitt3571 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      At 2000m the little thing has lost 20% of it's power due to altitude and down the bottom of the rev range there isn't much to start with. The injection can't get that back, only ensure the engine runs cleanly.

    exc 150 tpi or exc-f 350? Ive watched dynos and the 150 has 5 more hp?

    • @yukonjon5964
      @yukonjon5964 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      way cheaper in the long run to own a 2 stroke. if you ride tight woods and have no huge hills, you love the 150 way more. 350 is so much heavier.

  • @steves2241
    @steves2241 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Nice ridiing, I do give you a lot of shit, but it's all in good fun, because I am an mx guy. I like your videos because you talk while you ride, it makes the video fun to watch, in other gopro videos they usually do not talk while they are riding and it is a little less entertaining.
    As far as that 150, it's great for about an hour, depending on the riding conditions. Then you want to get back on a 250, 300, or 350. The 150 is limited, especially if you run into big sand hills, or big hills at all. And I personally get tired of screaming it out at high rpm's, plus it has so little power you have to make sure you are in the right gear to do some things.
    They have very little bottom end, it's all mid-range and top-end, so technical slow and hard trails are much harder on a 150. Like I said, they are fun for about an hour, then you want your 300 back.

    • @OtisFlint
      @OtisFlint 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Peak power is rarely relevant in the woods / trails. Torque through the curve is what matters most.
