At the end of "A House Is Not A Home," it appears that Burt is very pleased with the outcome of that performance, was enjoying it himself. What an incredible feeling that must have been for him, his works played to perfection!
I was at this show. It was a really special evening. The version of A House Is Not Home gave me goosebumps. The best songs were when Burt was singing. The gig far exceeded my expectations. Sometimes seeing your heroes live can be a letdown. But if anything, I have even more admiration for him after this show. Truly in a class of his own.
Burt evoca emoções de alta qualidade e sensibilidade..Sincroniza alma e arte ...musicalidade harmoniosa...frequência acima de qualquer normalidade...um gênio...Mestre...genialidade sem prescedente...
The Master of musical composition. Hal David the Master of lyrical composition. How privileged we are to live in their era. Thank you Burt, thank you Hal.
When they got to "A House Is Not A Home" (the saxophone solo transition), everyone over the age of 50 remembered the good old days of American pop music. The real crescendo: when the trumpet arrived, I was completely overwhelmed. Burt Bacharach had/has the power to move people's emotions -- a big part of his genius.
Joe b beautiful music 🎵 Bert, you are an icon I think you’re singing come from your heart you are a special person. I love your music all the music you ever created.
WOW!! When I am able to look back in time, it not only saddens me but it also fulfills me with this need to get it all back under those conditions perhaps without the hurt caused. If only one could do that wouldn't it be GREAT! If only for a moment to relive those so cherished seconds in our lives…. Thank you to all those who make it possible TECHNOLOGY AND THE GREAT ARTISTS WHO created some of the greatest music ever... Long Live THE ARTS …..
Burt Bacharach the man who taught me to love music. Thank you Burt for the music and of course I cannot forget the late Hal David for the wonderful lyrics.
"Are we meant to take more than we give, or are we meant to be kind ?" In that little phrase Hal David captured the absolute essence of life. It brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it.
Wow that ending with "A House is Not A Home" gave me chills. Thank you Mr. Bacharach you have been such instrumental to the arts of music. Thank you for making me fall in love in music.
Bacharach is a musical genius of late 20th century lush orchestrations that thrill you with the emotions of his melodies and lyrics by Hal David. Mesmerizing performance.
Incomparable and timeless. There will never be another Burt & Hal. Thank You Mr. Bacharach for a lifetime of memories marked by your melodies. I have seen Burt in concert along with the fabulous Dionne Warwick. Hard to describe the experience - maybe - "out of this world!!!" Savor this moment captured on video.
I first heard Burt Bacharach's music 39 yrs ago when I was in 7th grade, and immediately loved it. And that love for his music continues until today. My greatest appreciation for Burt Bacharach and Hal David. What a privilege and joy to have known their music.
This is Awesome, music to my ears like no other. I’ve loved his music since the late 60’s, I was about 16 years old, can’t remember how I ran across his music, just know it was love from the beginning and still today in my 60’s I love it even more now.
Burt Bacharach is one of the best music composers I've ever seen. He is 84 years old but still working... He has no voice and never had any but this is a detail compared with his talent..!
I had the privilege of hearing him perform with Dionne Warwick twice in Baltimore in the late 1990's overlooking the harbour. The man never left the stage over a 2 hour concert. Between them, it was the most generous gift of music I've ever experienced in a concert. The second time, I was able to take my Mom - just a few years before she died. It was so special for both of us. I'll never forget it.
I really love his voice, it's certainly in time and in tune, and what it lacks in volume it certainly makes up in astonishing emotional impact... Thanks for posting, t'is really great to hear this, much appreciated, Cheers yer star, Brigs :)
Stevie, I think I'll post w/you. Burt B.was born to do exactly what he did with his life, namely, write beautiful songs and with Hal David on the lyrics grab our hearts and souls. So many gems. And interestingly, I prefer seeing Burt perform his own tunes over anyone else. There's something so charming about the raspy voice and heartfelt rendition of the lyrics that is just beautiful. Bacharach and David gave it their all and we were the beneficiaries. Live and be well Burt. RIP Hal.
There will only ever be one Burt Bacharach And Hal David what fantastic music they produced for everyone to enjoy time and time again I never get tired of their songs and music wonderful wonderful great concert
My parents loved Burt Bacharach, his music always filled our home in the 60's. When they were getting divorced, my dad said to me, "This is just a house, not a home", I was young then and didn't really understand what he meant, but as I grew older, I did. That song told the whole story.
I saw him about this same time in Pittsburgh with the Pittsburgh Symphony and he had the same singers. He is amazing, and as you can see his love of music hasn’t diminished. He wrote the soundtrack of our lives. The first time I saw him was on an afternoon TV show in the early 60’s and I thought, this guy can’t sing a lick! The shear weight of his contribution to American music probably won’t ever be repeated.
We can never forget the genius of this man! He will go down in history as the finest music maker of all times. I salute him for his outstanding ability to make us sit and not move an inch until his song was ended. I love you Burt Bacharach and will listen until the very end. God bless you Mistro. Marcia Iello.
I have always loved his music. Such a treasure. Your the best Burt and have brought millions joy by providing us with your music and songs. They just dont make them like this anymore.

I've loved Burt's music for 50 years. He and Hal David wrote some of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. I know he was a very driven artist and accepted nothing short of perfection. I'm grateful for the joy his and Hal David's music has brought into my life. They have made the world more beautiful by their magnificent talent. He has aged so well and his looks have always been striking. I'm happy to hear that he has a wonderful wife and 2 more children. He's an American Treasure.
I was in love with Burt Bacharach when I was about 13 years in the 60's, so handsome and still is. I know all of his music and every single one was a mega-hit. What makes me so sad is that Hal David is gone and someday Mr. B will be gone. I hope he lives on to over 100 and is on the Smuckers Jelly Jar on the Today Show.

Mr. Bacharach is one the best in music. A lot of people try to put him down by saying his music is easy listening. Well, when you can write music as a beautiful as that, it is easy listening. His music touches.
