It's funny, I realized most of the songs I loved as a kid were pretty much all composed by Bacharach. They have the most gorgeous, distinctive sound.

Burt Bacharach a Brilliant Genius Composer!!!
A true genious. Immortal. He was blessed by an unique talent, every song by him composses cross your heart. For me the best one remains "Raindrops kee falling on my head". Is a great happinness that he have live so much time, and so we have enjoy his work. Besides I always see (or see always) a very clean and serene looking man, he transmites goodness and serenity. God keeps him for all the eternity
My parents are huge fans of Burt, as a result I grew up with all his music. Incredible composer, song writer, and arranger; never get tired of his music

Anyone who went along to this expecting to just hear Burt going through a few of his classics would have had a nice surprise . Musically educated folk though I guess so they probably knew what they were going to get. It's a surprise to me though in 2022 how good this is.
They were in for a real treat and were probably blown away although it was normal to hear great performances in the 70s. Can’t say that about concerts today. Being a 58 year old Brit, I have only just discovered his orchestral jazz arrangements which are far more interesting than the standard pop tunes sung by Cilla Black et al. This concert is amazing, I can’t stop playing it.

This was with the Edmonton Symphony at the Jubilee Auditorium. What a GEM this is! My Mom was playing in the symphony. She’s playing violin in the 3rd desk closest to the audience. Great close up of her at 27:06,39:30 and 45:46!!! I’m so proud of her! So many familiar faces in the orchestra. Hit after hit! What a fantastic concert. RIP BB!
That must have been an amazing challenge for her considering what a perfectionist Burt was, so she must have been top drawer to be in that orchestra. 👍👍👍 Yes, I realize it WAS a symphony orchestra already but still rumor has it Burt was quite someone to work with! You can see how interactive he is with every note being played of his compostions & he did that his whole career. I love seeing it, he can barely contain himself. 😁
@@kaydee4296 I've heard the same thing! Back in the '70s/'80s the Edmonton Symphony was doing a concert series with ITV - they filmed a bunch of shows with many different artists. Fun fact - my Mom attended a summer music school program with Burt B back in the '50s in California.

Burt Bacharach is one of the great masters of music. His songs are fantastic, with beautiful melodies and with a unique genius to use beautiful dissonant chords in his compositions. For all of that (and then some) he's amazing!
I listened to your 1977 concert in Canada at least four times a day, and I cry each time I listen to I got my strength from you. The lyrics and the music is so meaningful and it touched my heart it's time. Thank you mr. Burt Bacharach for your wonderful gift of music you have made so many people happy🙂🙏

If only I had a time machine, I know where I be right now, ...at this concert. I was only 14 years old at this time. Burt Bacharach makes beautiful music. He's one of my favorite composers, writers, musicians.

I learned of his music thru my cousins. I was in grade five and from then on I became a fan of him. Then when I was in college, my PE instructor asked us to create a dance sequence for our final exam. My group danced to the music of Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head and we got the highest grade. Thank you Mr. Bacharach for the beautiful music.

I am so grateful that I saw Burt twice in Sydney Australia. Had my first Bacharach Album when I was 14. So many fond memories of so many songs.
I will always appreciate a performance composed and orchestrated by Burt Bacharach. I have been blessed with having attending four of his live concerts (No matter the chaos of the world!). And, believe me when I say beautiful music I will always make time for!

I grew up listening to Burt Bacharachs music and Dionne Warwick. My parents always had the stereo going. Now I'm almost 65, certainly don't feel it. Because of my parents love of music, each one of my siblings all love music. Sadly I missed Burt's concert at Sydney Opera House a few years ago. Thank goodness for TH-cam, just about every song that I've loved while growing up and throughout every decade, music has been my go to, in times that are sad as well as times that are fabulous.
