Super quick and easy tutorial on how to make these cute folding tray tables! These tables actually fold up for easy storage in any sized dollhouse! Enjoy!
I watch your videos at night before sleeping so I would've satisfied and not worried about the stressful day ahead PS I just found your channel some days ago
Ahhh these always remind me of my childhood! When I would stay with my dad, my cousins would come over and at dinner time, the adults would eat in the kitchen and we would eat on folding trays in the living room watching tv. We would play games while waiting for dinner to be ready, using the remotes as laser guns to shoot bats and monsters that weren't there haha.
The Square to Spare There were good times ^_^ and we normally weren't allowed to watch tv during dinner. It was only when there were too many people over for dinner so we got lucky and ate in the living room lol =)
You're DIY's are just what I've been searching for! Simple everyday materials that get the job done. You've gained a loyal subscriber. Now i can dive right into my Model house project! Thanx soooooo much
I'm so happy to hear that! Yesss I love using everyday things because getting new materials for every project is out of the question :P Good luck on your model house project and I hope my tutorials are helpful with that!
This looks fun and cool to make. Cant wait to try it out as soon as my craft room is ready and I am able to get the craft wire for this and other projects in mind. Thank you for the many ideas to keep busy when I do start. Keep up the great videos 🙂
Thank you for this tutorial. The tray is so cute! I have made two so far and they turned out fine, but I had a very hard time keeping the joints together while assembling the tray. What're your tricks? My wire is the same size as the drill holes, but it didn't really help. Also I may have gotten my measurements wrong but I couldn't get the tray level at first. Maybe something that I did wrong? Any guess? Thanks again for your tutorials. You are one of my favorites!
Aww it may take a bit of work to get everything even. I had to make a trial one before I was able to make a final one that looked decent. Just file away extra wood that is causing the tray to not lay level. For the joints, it's better to make the holes smaller so that the wire is in there very tightly :) Hope that helps!
Thanks for the tips. I will try them out. I have made three so far and the last one has a slightly different tray top. They are so cute. I wish I have a way to send you a picture. Thanks again. BTW, I'm thinking of modifying your design to make a folding chair.
Man i love the stuff you make. I want make this stuff for my lil girls. Wish you had a doll house to go with your things. I really want a up to date modern barbie doll house design to fit the hole family and pets. My girls would that
Wow, your diy's are so good! I just watched 2 videos and i fell in love with your channel, you defined deserve way more subscribers then u currently have. :)
My only question are your measurements correct? I hate to be picky but some just don’t work out right. Like these trays you say back side of trays where legs connect, you say the long one is 1.75 (1 3/4) and that’s ok but the side 2 you say 1 inch and that looks nothing like what you show, looks more like 1 1/2”. Would this be correct? I love your videos, plz keep them coming.
Very good channel and excellent video would be good that all work is under measures to be able to have a good idea of the size many thanks and success !!
We kept finding we needed a folding table. This is so easy to store. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxStL0QRChBju4aQlnTrRgBZvafFog0KU3 Opening and closing is easy as well. It has a great handle for carrying around the house. Its pretty lightweight and slides around easy. We bought it for our daughter’s first sleepover. Breakfast was a blur - but 12 7-8 year olds fit at the table with room to spare. We used it at thanksgiving and 6 adults fit comfortably on each side plus 2 on either end for a total of 8. Super easy to clean up afterwards as well.
Thank you! I usually don't because they're pretty big (1:4 size I think) and I don't have too much storage space for all my finished pieces. So the smaller, the better for me haha :) You can always scale up the same steps to make them bigger though :D
Thanks for the videos. Let's say we want to make a complete house with some figures 1:35 or 1:72 scale etc. Can you tell me how you handle scale of things to fit each other?
Emre thank you so much! I'm happy to do it :) I just take the measurements of the real size thing and divide it by the scale I need. For example, if I wanted to scale something that's 6ft tall to 1/12 scale, I would just divide 6ft by 12 which would give me 6 inches. If I were to make that 6ft tall thing in 1/72 scale, I would divide it by 72 and it would be 1 inch tall. I hope that helps!
Thank you for your answer :) I was thinking just like you said but i want to be sure anyway. By the way, when you give info about measure of things, please don't forget people that don't use the imperial system :)
How skinny are those sticks? I have a bunch of coffee stirrers, but it only took five to make a 2" long table look rectangular. It was more of a square with all eight.
Of course! The tray tabletop is 1.25 inches by 2 inches and the height of the entire piece (when it's in the open position) is 2.25 inches tall. The measurements for all the pieces I cut to make the table is mentioned in the video :) I hope that helps! Thanks for watching! ^-^
You make it look so easy but professional. It's so tiny and functional?! You're blowing my mind!!
Awww thank you!! You're so sweet
