- For today's video I made a miniature book. It would look great for a diorama project or as a tiny gift. You could also make it as a non fixed open book since the book has a stitched spine and it wont come apart.

I have learned how to bind books! In the printing school, my profession was called Artistic finishing bookbinder :) It was interesting to observe the techniques of making a miniature book. The only criticism - the corners of the lids could be made much cooler by cutting them off and folding them inwards. Thanks for the video! :)
Oh awesome! Yea I agree, since I made the video, I've learned a bit more about bookbinding so I should really redo this to an updated version =)
Had exactly the same thought of why isn't she trimming the points to lay flat?
This is fabulous! I'm currently working on a dollhouse and this is the perfect project! Thank you for sharing your talent, it's very appreciated!

This is so lovely, I appreciate the detail and fine work here! I've been looking at book pendant tutorials and I find most of them a bit too simple&rough around the edges. Not this one! I'll definitely try it for a necklace - thank you for sharing. :)
Thank you so much! I'm so happy its helpful =)

Omg tysm you are the best I am gonna sub u now

Beautiful channel!
Thank you
😘😘 Vielen Dank, direkt abonniert. Was ist das hier für ein Stoff? 4:07
Thank you! It was just a piece of scrap cotton fabric, so any thin fabric works well ^^
Um help what is 2,5cm in inches I tried to look it up but um all I see is numbers and I’m not good with numbers
I had to google and google says 2.5cm is 0.984252 inches ^^
finally someone that makes a miniature book, using the actual bookbinding method - AWESOME!
Thank you!

My father taught me bookbinding when I was a girl. It was very moving to see the techniques used for a miniature book. Thank you for the video :)
That is so sweet! Thank you for watching =)
What a beautiful little book. I'm making a Book Nook at the moment that's going to be a Victorian library, and I would love to include a book like this inside it. Would you mind if I copied your little book? I have some faux leather that I'd like to make the book cover out of, and I also want to make a tiny ink well and quill to go with it. I've made most of the library but I still need to make a desk to go in one side - the bookcase is on the other side - and a few more accessories, and then it will be finished. Love from Amanda Jones in Melbourne, Australia P.S Thank you for a great video tutorial ❤
@@amandajones6481 I was thinking just the same. I've got the Eternal Bookstore as a starter to learn how to make one. I don't like the flatness of some of the items so I've been collecting bits and pieces to individualise mine, to make candlesticks, gaslights/lamps, a rug and log basket (to hide the light switch) and a cushion for the chair and... so this will make a perfect large atlas or interesting tome. Actually I think I might turn it into a magical spell book and include partially hidden things in the Nook for the fun of it. I now need to find a tiny cat or dog, the ones for miniature railways are too small. Have fun with yours.
This is amazing! I love how realistic it is!
Thank you!
I've been making closed tiny books, with fan-fold pages. Time for me to up my game. Thank you so much!
Thanks for watching! Good luck!
Oh my goodness I can finally write my life’s story this is gonna be the coolest thing yet to date…
This is seriously so cool. I don't know how the color tone of the final glued printed pages turned into matching tones with the rest of the book though :) They were initially different tones.
Oh you mean when I dipped into coffee, that will give it an aged effect =)
I’m just guessing but the picture might have been on a thin paper. So when they got glued together with mod podge the paper behind could be seen through? 🤔
So good!! We had a bookbindery for years, so I was pleasantly surprised to see you knew the steps. This is awesome!! I want to make one now. Here's a little tip... old pleather jackets are a dime a dozen at the thrift stores now, and when you separate the pleather from the lining, it's surprisingly thin like plastic. It would be perfect for a project like this!
This is so amazingly adorable. And such clear steps to do this.
Thank you!
Yep love it and going to make one for sure
So excited… I’m making my first one right now. I was having a hard time perforating the paper ( it kept moving around )so I put an eraser under in and the pin went in like butter 🤗 I have an old purse with very thin leather and I’m going to cut a piece out to cover the covers at the end 👍Thank you SOO much !!!
Awesome! Its always good to reuse old materials! Thank you for watching!
Omg you’re SO talented I’m subscribing right now
Thank you!
what you did touched my heart.💕where can I get the fabric you use?
That is the cutest and smallest book binding ever
Thanks ^^

Hello, thank you for the informative video.. It is very interesting.. I wanted to ask what was that black liquid in which you soaked the small book??
Oh its diluted coffee to stain the paper =)
Boy am I impressed. I am only just starting miniature book and I LOVE THIs BOOK.! Thank you so much for sharing❤️
Thank you so much for watching!
OMG Isn't that beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I gonna try to make it.

You can find the tiny pages on my website the link is in the description under the video =)
@@TinyCraftWorld thanks
It is so cute....
And I have subscribed u
Thank you so much!
Question: this is beautiful and I really admire it, but why go through all the trouble to bind a book just to glue it open? would it not be easier to simply glue the pages in place?
It was more of a demonstration on how to do it if you don't want to have it as an open book =)
This project is so wonderful but my fingers are too restless to make this mini book... 🤗
Awww I do hope you give it a try!
Loooove it. Thank you. Something new to learn. ❤❤

Beautiful awesome talent you have. I adore watching you steps by steps of the making the tiny book. Thanks ❤
Thank you so much! ❤️
Question: why didn’t the paper tear apart when it was dipped in coffee?
Oh it wouldn't unless you soak it for a long time.
How incredible! I've been searching for a miniature book using the book binding method. It's beautiful.
Thank you! I hope the tutorial will be helpful =)
Great work 🔥 is it coffee that makes paper not to move from its position?
Thanks =) the coffee is used to stain the paper so it looks old =) mod podge keeps it in place
I can't believe im so late but im so glad I found this channel!! Your work is so great and inspiring
Thank you so much!
Subscribed....awesome keep making more
Thank you!
Thank you for this detailed tutorial. This was the first book binding I have ever done and you made it simple to follow!
Awesome! I'm glad the tutorial was useful!
The actual steps :-
1: Know how to sew
2 : Have patience
3: Be talented
4 : How NOT to mess things up
Edit: I have none of them
Awww you should give it a try, its not too hard ^^
@@TinyCraftWorld ahhhh
I would surely, but if I had to do calligraphy, it would be soo bad ,you would surely throw it to Saturn 🪐.

What was that red liquid in which you dipped the book ?
That was coffee, I believe. Stains the paper and makes it look old
It is indeed diluted coffee =)
Gracias por compartir, muy sencillo, incluso para hacer un libro grande.
