@@avleonar I just searched Aaron on TH-cam and a bunch of things came up, he's singing gravity in a duet, of course marry me a little, the Sondheim birthday party celebration, you'll find a lot of them, he's a dream.
He is perfect for this song! His range is incredible he is a triple threat he can sing, dance and act. I worked at the 5th Ave when Catch Me was getting ready. And he was so nice to us silly fans! His voice is so beautiful I have all his recordings!
A lot of people commenting about how his voice being to mature for the song, with no touch of evan. I think he just want to give his own spin of it. Based on the instruments he doesnt want to portray the character while singin the song.
I Need more Dynamics from him! It's good but I need him to connect to what he is singing about! And I want falsettos Too and maybe more mix! But I love him and he is so good!
Aaron is such is a good technical singer, but he missed the vulnerability that Evan portrays in this song. Technicality, tone, and texture, at par with Jeremy Jordan.
I agree with you that he missed the vulnerability of the song. I think Mr. Tveit is a great singer, have you hear his version of Wicked, I really like what he did with that song.
Maybe because he is putting his own spin on the song. Everybody has their own interpretation of each song, and this is his. But I ofc love the Ben Platt version. And love and appreciate Aaron's version too
@@hangeulgeek I think it's really just in good fun. I mean, he's wearing a cowboy hat: he's putting a country spin on it, so it loses its feeling and gains a different one, which of course isn't for everyone. He's not really trying to act like Evan, though he's singing Evan's song.
i dont like the character of evan hansen but i would go and see the show if aaron was cast as evan. and before yall say he's to old remember that horrid movie we got. we had a middle aged man aaron is not as old as b*n p***t
Anyone else binging Aaron during quarantine 2020?
Saaaame
Yes, I spent a couple of hours watching/listening to Aaron the other night ... such an amazing voice.
Me! Haha any good video suggestions?

Love working with Aaron. Thank you for watching :)
Aaron Tveit is one of those people that deserve more than one Tony
He deserves a Tony for every show he is in. Even retroactively. And even the shows that weren’t on Broadway.
my favourite broadway bean singing one of my favourite songs ahh
A true talent! Thanks for watching :)

Yeah, exactly. He's putting a country spin on it.
No one:

@bicth !!!!!!!! we know it would never actually happen don’t lose your mind over a 2 year old comment
Hahahaha this makes me think of when Andrew Feldman (Evan Hansen) sang goodbye from Catch Me if you Can at the jimmy awards.
I LOVE HIM EVEN MORE HOW COME THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I SAW THIS
ok . i'm dying. my favourite two musicals are coming together.
Perfect voice for this song! I’m not crying, it’s just something in my eye.
Love this musical. I think Aaron can sing anything and it will be awesome.
Sincerely the best version of this song. And live to boot
Perfect pitch as always !!!! he is so constant !!
I wish he would go on tour. I would be front and center.
i always come back to this video lol
He is so damn amazing.
Your shows are always the best! Aaron is so perfect for this song.
This is something I didn’t know I wanted… until now.
There is nothing this man can’t do.
Ricky’s voice is like liquid. Gorgeous!!

Dear Gabriel Goodman
Yes, I am! I've watched Les Mis so many times I know everybody's lines.
Lol me too!!!!
Lol I think people are forgetting that this is a concert, HIS concert in fact.
@bicth !!!!!!!! still stands that it’s a concert, not a performance in the show
Um hell yes
you were a vocal major!! drop the r on forever!!
is no one gonna talk about his hat?
Wow
Dear Evan Hansen… fantastic music & lyrics. I challenged myself to sing ‘Only us’ with my friend and posted it toTH-cam my channel.
Security will be addressing this.
damn, he's way too powerful for evan hansen

Well think of context, this is a showcase not the show
adam oler ...but that does mean he doesn’t have to give it all his own and give justice to the song?? maybe for you but now for him

Amazing. He blows Ben Platt outta the water.
David Egeland In any other role, maybe, but definitely not on this one.

He messed up a word in the end. It's actually "the sun BURNS bright" and not SHINES bright. But fantastic nonetheless 👍

What are those hand motions?
hes used to a musical theater setting
They probably help his body get into position for hitting the notes he needs to.
Great singing but character interpretation and emotional portrayal is off compared to, of course, the original Evan Hansen: Ben Platt.
totally agree
This is better than Ben Platt
Vocally, maybe. But as for performing the song, not by a long shot...
Ben Platt is Evan while he sings the song...

Not crazy about this version. His voice is too opera-ish
what the hell, have you ever heard something even close to operatic singing?! sorry
supermilkguy ??? His voice is nothing close to Operatic
I understand what you are meaning, I also missed the head voice at some points
Operatic? There is nothing operatic about this lol.
So you mean proper technique? Then yes!
