Based on this video, I was able to replace my sensor. I did not have to remove the seatbelts. The bottom seat attaches to the bottom seat with a long black clip over that rod that goes between the two sides of the seat back near the hump... It is just clipped on. If you unclip it, it makes taking the bottom seat out very easy. Then, you can slide the top seat over to one side with the belts already attached. Tip - Move the passenger seat all the way forward BEFORE you disconnect the battery. The 3 bolts that hold the sensor on are thought to get at with the security torx. allighment needs to be perfect to engages and they take a lot of torque to extracts. Having some room to work is a key to success,
i have that code on my dash would that code prevent the top from retracting automatically? because mines open with the button but just a crack not all the way and it locks back with the button

From memory, mine still worked with the light on no issues. I just wanted to fix it to get rid of the light.
