The first piece I ever painted, I didn’t let it dry in between steps and also did not rinse well enough, I believe, because over a year afterward every little bump would pull the paint right off! Learned my lesson the hard way... Good video!

Do you have any recommendations for doing this for an entire set of kitchen cabinets? For example, should I just do an assembly line style and do one step on each door and then come back around and do the next one?

This is a great, super helpful video. I’m getting brushstrokes in my primer. Initially I thought I was using too much paint so I’ve tried a thinner coat but I still see them. I am using a Clingon F50 brush. Any extra hints you can give me? If I end up needing to sand in between coats, what do you recommend for the final coat? Do I sand after it? I am using OHE.

is it brush strokes in the actual primer OR are you simply seeing through the primer in spots where its not as thick. definitely two thins coats and sanding between coats does help. One last sanding before paint is also something you can do. So two coats, sanding after both then OHE.

Wise Owl Paint Party Thanks for answering! it’s brushstrokes in the primer. Would you sand with 220 or 320? I want to make sure it’s scuffed enough for the OHE, but 320 makes it smoother.

@@laurelp7478 220 or 320 works, just got gently at first 👍

Would you recommend chalk or OHE for kitchen cupboards?

Can the primer be sprayed as opposed to brushed?

Absolutely! I have and it’s amazing! Dilute up to but not more then 10% 👍

Why do you clean and degrease before sanding? Because you obviously touch it multiple times while scuffing it up. It seems like you'd want to do it after scuffing.
