We have some bears in Germany, not so often, but they are here in South of Bavaria (one was found dead at a railway track some weeks ago), in the Alpes region coming from Italy (in Italy a person was even killed by a bear) ...

It's really important to know our history. Europe is not a museum but a powerhouse in all things - thus our 'special relationship with the US' which in actuality is about money and power. Make a reaction video on Finland🇫🇮🇪🇺 Finland and Germany have always had a 'special relationship' - not in the least when we defended Finland against Russia. (I worked and lived in Köln/Cologne for a year. I absolutely love Germany - one of my favourite places with Finland and the US)

If you are interested in Germany, you should check out a video about german inventions. As the video said: They invented printing, cars, etc. ... but there is much more! Like the computer for example - or the mp3-format. Thanks for your video and cheers from Germany.

I remember when I was 13 I think, watching the news on tv seeing the Germans tear down the Berlin wall 1989 if I'm not mistaken. Just brings chills, especially since I have ancestors from Germany. The Winds of Change, both men and women had saws, some had even screw drivers, paint scrappers, the wall came down. th-cam.com/video/n4RjJKxsamQ/w-d-xo.html

Hi Aleks, I was born in Berlin, Germany in the early '50s before the Berlin Wall was built. I lived there until 1961. Living in West Berlin at that time, I watched Communism evolve in East Germany. The USSR and the E. German government used Much of the same propaganda as Russia currently uses. I had family in East Germany that I couldn't visit because of the wall and communism.
By 1960 mother divorced my father because of his alcohol habit. She then married my stepfather who was in the US military. We moved to Mannheim, Germany where he was based. My first time in the USA was in 1961 for 1 year, then we moved back to Mannheim until 1965.
I started first grade in a German school, then went to Mannheim American Elementary School. Before I entered the 6th grade, I attended eight different schools, two of which were in the USA in 1961. I don't know if you are familiar with NFKRZ, but I will include a link to one of the 2 videos he made in Berlin: th-cam.com/video/AY-kHo4tg7s/w-d-xo.html

Bless Barbz's heart for trying to pronounce German accurately.
I actually lived there for 3ish years as a child. It was actually West Germany then...I'm old. But that country imprinted me DEEP. To my young eyes, the natural beauty was straight out of Grimm's fairy tales. That's also when I grew to love gray, wet weather (still do!). And I got FAT really quick on all those delicious pastries and bread.

Hi Alex, thank you so much for you amazing and entertaining video and it was enjoyable for me as well.
The famous wooden Cuckoo clocks are origin from Black Forest which is in Baden-Wurttemberg. But you can buy them in other places of my country as well. Tourists like them so much.
The church spire of Ulm Münster is the world's highest church spire.
The most famous "bratwurst" is Curry-Wurst (a bratwurst with curry sauce). Origin is probably from Berlin, was created in 1949. Today in Ruhr Area curry wurst is usually made of fried Bratwurst, in Berlin it's usually made of bockwurst (or large Frankfurter). Both are delicious.
About Bavaria, Germany's best Bundesland (less crimes, best economy, very good food and very nice for vacations, best football team FC Bayern - tbh I dislike FC Bayern): one bavarian minister honestly asserted that beer is basic food and it doesn't matter when you drink beer and drive ... This minister had to resign. It's not allowed to drink alc and drive. As the only European country we have unlimited speed on our autobahnen (but with many exceptions).
German language is complicated, sounds rough and is partially not easy to pronounce. During corona pandemics when I had to teach my son at home I did not recognize my language, I struggled with grammar... And we are masters of rowing consonants, have long words with many consonants, but less vovals. Did you know that we had two spelling reforms (a big in 1996 and a small 2006)? German language was not "good enough" so some clever people changed our language in some parts ... and caused chaos. Teachers suddenly had to teach the "new" language, and pupils had to learn their own new language ...
We have lots of idioms, dialects ... Most unpopular is the idiom in Saxonia, most popular is bavarian (there are differences as well). Easier to understand for english speaker is "plattdeutsch", it's partially comparable with english and netherlands. But even within plattdeutsch are many differences and it's not comparable with Frisian language.
These extraordinary long word Rindfleischettikettierung(...)gesetz, (this is "only" the abbreviation - the word is even longer!! 🤣)was introduced 1999 in state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (you can use the nick-name MeckPomm instead) because of BSE/Mad Cow Desease. But this word is not necessary anymore. (Who honestly used or wrote that looooong word, maybe our authorities ...)
People in Hesse talk very much .... Possible 😂 I live in Hesse. Do we talk very much ... I don't know?! But not only in Hesse people like to talk and to discuss, and we are not fast in making decisions. We discuss, think about, discuss again, wait some time, think about and so on ... and finally make a decision (or not).
In 2013 Michael Schumacher had an accident when skiing, got heavily injured. He is alive, but not in publicity anymore. Nobody knows what's on with him now... His son is Formel 1 driver as well.
On many of German islands in North Sea and Baltic sea you can spend wonderful vacations. On North Sea coast there are huge tides, the water is muddy because there's wadden sea. But on the islands it's o.k., the water is clear, the beaches are sandy, white. You can reach the islands by ferry, some by plane. And Sylt island in North Sea (near Danish border) you can reach by train via Hindenburg Dam.
On Baltic Sea the tides are small and there's no wadden sea, the water is clear. There are beautiful cliff lines. On Ruegen Island you can find chalk rocks (like in Dover or on Danish Island Mon). The climate on Baltic Sea coast is not as rough as on North Sea coast, and they have more sunny days. On some places in Baltic Sea you find old NVA bonkers, they lay in the water. In former DDR states you find many further remains from Sovjet era.
Hope to hear and see from you soon. So long 🥰

"How they count migration" - they count absolute numbers, that's it. Sure, India and China (and many other countries...) are WAY bigger when it comes to population - but whot wants to live and work there, actually...?

The Russian language has borrowed some words from the German language. For example the word for potato - Kartoffel : Картофель
it sounds almost identical. Or Butterbrot : бутерброд but there are many more.
