    They did a battery update since this video was put out the battery looks the same but different numbers. I'm liking my mag tac led rechargeable flashlight is bright enough and it's made every well too. My belt clip looks very well made doesn't seem cheap just have to treat it nice and it should be good. So far so good

    I have had my Mag-tac for aprox 2 years, and i can not believe how you have managed to fuck your up so badly. Mine is heavily used, but is as new. No schratces etc.

      +Shaun Huffman I wouldn't say that. For the price of it i see no reason it shouldn't be able to handle what I throw at it. My little streamlight is still going so.....

      +Frode Skibrek it's a flashlight. not to much to expect from it beside turning on and off. I carried it in my pocket. Not really sure how that is so stress inducing.

      Sure, the beltclip idea is nice but as I was ordering mine little bit ago from amazon, I noticed maglight has a nylon belt holster for these magtac flashlights that's pretty much the same concept as the holster for the minimag lights except these have a flap that flips over the top with a button snap. Seems to me that if I was going to carry around a hundred dollar flashlight I'd want it in a holster rather than relying on a flimsy plastic clip.

  • @snoprosledneck88
    @snoprosledneck88  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Oscar Antepara yes it does come with the battery installed. There is a little plastic cover protecting the battery one the inside of the tail cap when you get it. Make sure you remove that before you try to use it or charge it! Thanks for watching!

    wow ! it must be all the new lights ! I've had probably 3 of the large magchargers & never had one issue ! even my duty light was a magcharger! great company, that's why I was wondering about all your problems, I always heard they would replace them ! idk thanks for replying

    • @snoprosledneck88
      @snoprosledneck88  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +strpl2 I have one of their 3D led lights. That thing kicks ass. I have never had any problems with them. I have problems with this one and the AA (double A) models where they will intermittently quit working. Not saying they haven't taken care of them in the past but they usually send you parts to fix the light, not replace it entirely. I'm not really saying they are bad to deal with but it ends up being a pain. Glad you having good luck with your though.

  • @anointedsword
    @anointedsword 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    The clip was one of the main reasons why I wanted to try this light out. I do believe they would replace it, but I hope they redesign the clip or I will not get one.

      I just got my flashlight in the mail yesterday and sad to report, I broke my belt clip in the exact same spot as the guy in the video did. But I must confess though, I was hoping it wouldn't break but, it did anyway from me pushing in on it with my thumb against the barrel of the flashlight just to see how much force it takes to break it which I'm proud to say that it took quite a bit. But, I did find out though that for about 11 bucks you can go to Maglite's website and order a replacement. Will even come with a new one of those flimsy Allen wrenches, too. I probably won't get a new one for my rechargeable magtac since this light will strictly stay in the charger on the headboard right next to the Beretta...😎

    I stay away from rechargeable lights because when the battery goes bad you generally cannot find a replacement battery. These rechargeable are usually proprietary and hard to find. Better off buying a non-rechargeable light and buying standard rechargeables for it which is what I do. AAA, AA, C, D ect

  • @2pacnasgame

    I got one about a year ago return it for some reason it was not holding its charge but I never read the instructions then I herd there is a step to charging it the correct way i thought you just turn the light off and plug it in the charging station so do you know of this is true the rumor was tou have to go threw all modes once b4 charging

    hi man great vid, i have several doubts hope yo can help to solve, i
    just bougth the cr123 magtac, because the easy way of just change the
    batery, but theres was a problem whit maglite, and they send me a
    rechargeable instead the cr123 by the same price by the way , which is
    better cr123 or rechargeable, its better to stay whit the rechargeable
    or returned to maglite to send me the cr123 model? i see a lot of
    reviews of the magtac rechargeable, bad batery, not charge, things like
    that but also read and see a lot of reviews that this is a great lamp,
    can you help whit this issues

    You shouldn't have those kind of issues on a light at that price point. I'm going with a different light. Thank you for the post.

      What issues? The plastic Allen wrench breaking or just the belt clip itself for being plastic? I just ordered one of these flashlights and if its anything like the regular MAGTAC that runs on the 2, 3- volt CR123 batteries, it oughtta be another great product from Maglite. I've got the regular battery powered one and I broke the belt clip tool as well. Because it's plastic...lol. But I didn't let that change my opinion of the flashlight though. I just whipped out my precision screwdriver kit and used a real, metal hex bit to tighten it. Worked like a charm. As far as the belt clip breaking... mine hasn't broken as of yet but well, I didn't spend 70 bucks for a flashlight just to carry around on me every day so maybe that's why. I have a Minimag LED pro that works just fine for that and at 272 lumens for 25 bucks, you can't beat it. It's extremely durable, no belt clip to break or a plastic hex bit to break either... I bought my non-rechargeable magtac as an emergency tactical flashlight to be used in conjunction with my pistol on the headboard, nothing else. This is a defense tool, not a flashlight for looking for lost keys or a lost remote under the couch...lol. I got plenty other flashlights around the house for general purpose use. The reason for buying the rechargeable one was to take the place of my plain magtac on the headboard since this one's rechargeable and no batteries to fool with. It'll always be at 100%, 100% of the time. Besides, I travel a lot so this was a great excuse to transfer the other one to my travel bag and it too will serve the same purpose as before as an accessory to my handgun.
      The squeaky tail cap? Well, every maglite I have ever owned has always said in the owner's manual to put Vaseline or plain Jane petroleum jelly on the threads and O-ring as preventive maintenance. It's got a rechargeable battery so I don't know why anyone would be taking the tail cap off all the time anyways unless if this light is like it's big brother, the MagCharger light that has the programmable power button which I doubt.
      But to each is own.

    would you happen to know how this MagLite compares to the Strion HD From Streamlite?
    my Strion was stolen at my shop from I'm guessing a customer. I saw this flashlight from the Snap On guy that visits the shop, idk if I'd be better off sticking with Strion or should try this MagLite.
    I've never had problems with the Streamlite either so idk what to expect from MagLite

    I just got this flashlight off amazon about a week ago and already the light just went off left me in the dark I do street sweeping at night needed it in dark alley well I called maglite that morning told them I herd bad reviews about this flashlight but I still purchased it because thinking it wasn't going to happen to me well it did I keep hearing the light goes out I'm doing everything right as soon as I get home it sits in its charger till I go to work never been drop water damage nothing to hurt the light so maglite said it could be defective battery so should I give them a chance and keep the light or send it back to amazon it matches with my mag charger if you read the Manuel you should be ok so maybe I'll just do a video lol

      @@ΕΛΛΗΝΑΣΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤΟΡΑΣ they are more of a hobby/hot rod light. A D4SV2 single channel W2 emitter set up would be in the neighborhood of 4500-5000 lumen. Granted it will thermal regulate and ramp down. A D4V2 would be around 3500-4000 lumen with a similar set up. D4 runs an unprotected 18650 while a D4S runs a 26650. D4 makes a wonderful EDC. They also offer channel switching/channel mixing. For example I have a D4 with a Dedomed 519a on one channel and osram W1 on the other. The 519a is a higher cri light, nice color reproduction and the W1 is a more white light and a bit more throw. Hindsight I should have not had the 519 dedomed, it would have giving it more flood. You live and you learn. A nice compromise between the two lights would be a D4K. That runs a 21700. Lots of emitter options to fit most needs.

    What's the difference between a crowned bezel and a standard bezel?

    • @snoprosledneck88
      @snoprosledneck88  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A crowned bezel has the ridges around the lens of the flashlight. A standard bezel is smooth around the lens of the flashlight. Bezel flashlight are good for an improvised defense weapon. Granted it's not going to be often that you take a flashlight out to defend yourself but in a rare case of an attack in a restrictive area you may find it handy. Hope that answers your question. +Jeremy I have the 310 lumen magtac and have had no problems yet to be honest. Seems like a well made durable light and puts out a hell of a beam. Only downside is it eats through batteries. The cr123s seem to last for about 2 weeks and I hardly used it. There's no really rechargeable options as the rcr 123 3.7 volts will fry the flashlight. (What maglight told me). It's a pity because I wish I could use it more. I hardly use it because of the cost for cr123s
