I would like to know if I made it the wled conversation will I still beable to have only a couple leds on that light up my garage and front door with white leds and have the rest off till I want the color again?
Im just getting in to the wled stuff so Dont know much about the app yet Im about to set up my first leds with wled so Ill probably be able to answer this my self soon but also would be nice to know for anyone else that is wondering the same thing to have the comment on this video
@Mr.ShrimpO Yes, you can create a segment on the WLED app. You just need to tell the app which pixel or pixels (LED number) to turn on. Then it would only turn on that one, or any other LED's you want.
Does this work without the original power supply. I was told to buy 150 and he put them on and it ended up being only 100ft so now im left with an extra 50ft. So i wanted to see if there was a way to put them on our cover by our chickens and horses.
Do you know where I can buy another controller and power box. I have a two story home and only one connector power box. I really don’t want to have to run a wire all the way down my house
Great video!!! I thoroughly enjoyed the prior govee splicing video. I feel confident now making any cuts needed when I get a set for our house. Question, I've heard the ESP32 works with home assistant. So this application makes sense. Does govee itself work with home assistant? 🤔
I've always wondered if Govee could be used with WLED and now I know! That's awesome.. Now i just need to know which controllers to buy, how many I want to buy and all the other tools and such needed for projects :)
Great video! 2 questions. Since I have 2 sets (1st and 2nd story), is there a way to sync both sets in WLED? Also, assuming 150 total feet is still the max?
WLED has an option to SYNC built into the software, so you can set it so that one strip will copy the other. Considering the cost of the ESP boards and the cost of the LEDs, it's probably worth spending a little money on buying some and just messing around to see what is possible, before you cut into your expensive lights.
Help me figure it out please, I received 3 packs of Govee LED Strip Light M1. Each tape is 16.4 feet, you can include only two and then the total length can reach 32.8 feet. But I have a 41 foot room and would like a consistent effect, no chunks. How to connect an additional piece of tape so that it would be part of the main flight, so that the effect could be as one. Thank you in advance.

Why arent you powering the ESP32 over the Govee Powersupply? If you need a voltage shifter, there cheap and smaller than a usb power brick
is it possible the other way around, to control 3rd party led strips or whatever with govee software? i only ask bc I have govee motion sensor and would love if I could sync my leds
I just got interested in RGB lights and have a many projects to tackle. Your vids are very educational . Is the a book or other source that a novice like me could get to at least get a little educated before eating money on mistakes?
Any pointers on coverting Govee outdoor Spot or Flood lights? Are all Govees WS8211 ?
Have you tried connecting the Govee Neon rope lights to WLED? Should be the same config with different number of LEDs? Thanks
Awesome video! Gave me ideas and a new option to try. I just purchased the GOVEE Curtain... should be here in hours.
I work at WAGO and appreciate your positivity towards are amazing connectors. WAGO (WA part pronounced like "Water" - just an FYI). 🙂
Did you got govee curtain to work with wled?
@wsandaruwan Thank man. my first rgb strips and controllers are showing up this week, so I'm excited to learn about all this stuff.
Any possibility of flashing the govee controller or is esp32 controller the only possibility?
I Love your Vidios. But you can Power the ESP32 directly via the VIN pin.
It gets automaticly steped down to the right voltage.
snyone tried this with the permanent outdoor lights version 2?
That's a pretty cool find. Good to know you have options
Will an esp8266 work for this method or should i buy an esp32?
@ChrisMaherDIY can I use the purple wled board
Would this be the same setup with the new eufy e22
Thank you Chris.
Would this work with the Govee H6173 lights?
I’m building a driver for LedFx and Govee rn!
Do you need a level shifter or logic controller from the ESP output to the govee lights?
Thanks for watching! I never used one in all my testing.
Nice! I will probably have to cut mine for the roofline.
I would be super interested to see if it's possible to control Nanoleaf with WLED.
Especially their new Skylight 🍻
Help me figure it out please, I received 3 packs of Govee LED Strip Light M1. Each tape is 16.4 feet, you can include only two and then the total length can reach 32.8 feet. But I have a 41 foot room and would like a consistent effect, no chunks.
How to connect an additional piece of tape so that it would be part of the main flight, so that the effect could be as one.
Thank you in advance.
Govee is limited to 150.. did you try more than 150?
Curious if this method would be similar for the govee pathway lights?
Yes. I’m wondering that as well
Do Wled works on the pro version ?
