I'm glad you gave Everglades another chance. My wife and I both worked there for several years, so I can say with authority that the Everglades can definitely deliver some really bad days. But, as we saw in your video, it can also deliver some really great days.
It was really nice! When I was there last time, I was just so inexperienced with planning things, and didn’t realize that because it’s so big, it’s a park that requires a lot of foresight if you have limited time. That’s so cool that you were working there for a few years, you probably saw a lot!
They’re surprisingly shy, especially since it wasn’t very sunny there for my first two days, but it was great to see one up close, from the comfort of my van with a heavy metal door between us lol 🐊

The airboat ride is/was a better choice than the Shark Valley tram tower. Trust me , I live just 15 mins away near the Miccosukee.
