Hensley and JJ are getting amazing education in so many areas of life. Great parenting on your part, I see two amazing adults in the future. You are giving them experiences that will teach them more than simple arithmetic, reading, and writing. You are teaching them to conquer fears, make new friends and always seek new adventure. The two of you should be proud of the parenting relationship you have with them.
Oh my gosh! I can't believe Nathan did that! I was also very impressed that Hensley knew that the snake was shedding based on it's eyes! We truly loved this episode.
What an amazing life your kids are having, you ALL are having, together! God Bless you! Judah: “I have a bad feeling about this” 😅😂 The best! Also good at expressing himself 🥰
Whoa! Marissa is getting SKINNY! 😃 SO glad you guys are filling your children with knowledge and understanding to defeat fear about wildlife. Awesome video!
For JJ. I was born in Venezuela and my grandparents would take me on fishing trips with them. We would set up camp on the banks of the Orinoco River. At night we would build large fires along the shore of our camp to keep the crocodiles at bay, I was about your age and could see their glowing eyes in the water outside the perimeter of the firelight. As the fires would die down they would move in closer. I still have dreams of those eyes. I hear ya bud... OLT
Never in a million years would I have believed Nathan would be holding a python. I really enjoyed last two videos. I should word that differently. I enjoy all your videos but these two were unique. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤❤
When we were in that area a couple of years ago we went to Robert is Here for the shakes of course but ended up getting several new produce to try. Robert himself even showed us how to cut them, as I had no clue either. It was pretty cool to have Robert himself show us!
Same here! Only I didn’t find out he was THE Robert until I watched this episode. 😜 He was a very kind and helpful man. ☺️ My daughter really loves exotic fruit. Which new produce did you try?
Marissa, I’m so glad that you are sharper than me! We were just at Robert was Here Fruit stand and bought $75 worth of exotic fruit. The man at the register was so kind and helpful in sharing all the different tips on how to cut and eat the many different kinds of fruit we purchased - including that Canistel you were eyeing! 😜 Turns out that was actually Robert! I would’ve asked a lot more questions had I known that he was THE Robert! My daughter also opted for the dragon fruit smoothie. She loved it! 💖
Great Video. Since you are so close to South Miami Dade, a must-see is the Coral Castle. They kids will love it, the story is amazing, and the stone work is mind-blowing.
The Everglades used to extend from the southern tip of Lake Okeechobee. Developers moved in and cleared a ton for farming before they got ahold of it. It’s a fraction of what it was. Great book the kids may love, historical fiction and I taught for years,A Land Rememebered by Patrick Smith. For the books, get the 2 separate student versions, and maybe keep the kids in book 1 for now. That one is a grade 4-6 level. You can also visit Lake Kissimmee State Park and go to Cow Camp with reinactments of the characters. I may have some teaching materials, so you can always reach out!
Both childreb have grown so much. I remember JJ in the videos when you were in Hawaii. Now he is becoming a young man... almost! What a great journey into the Everglades.
Wow! What an experience for the kids to learn by and from when they see an alligator or crocodile or big snakes or rattle snakes. I’m glad they over came their fear. That looked fun on the air boat and going to the observation to over look the ever glades. Seeing the biggest fruit stand. This’d smoothies and shakes liked and sounded good. Thank you for taking me in this journey. Can’t wait to see another great video. Have a great week and see you next week.
Those are the bottom end of my stomping grounds. I was raised in the headwaters of the Everglades. Hunting, fishing, working, playing etc. I use to guide hog, deer, Turkey and gator hunts. If we ever encounter a python, we just make it a non issue. If you want a cool place to experience, book a site in Kissimmee Prairie State park and preserve. It’s a very interesting “ dark “ campground. It’s considered the darkest spot in Florida used by stargazers. Every weekend they offer swamp buggy rides and a night walk. Aside from the ranch I work on…. It’s my favorite place. Undisturbed land. Lots of deer, Turkey and gators. Deer and Turkey walk through the camping area. I know these videos are way behind where you actually are. But I highly recommend Kissimmee Prairie State Park and preserve
Great Rig ! That AD converter is a little tricky when you get your lithium batteries - the batteries will need to run down a full cycle before the converter will figure out it’s Lithium as it recharges them.
Also, loved that you mentioned Brazos Bend! We lived 20 minutes from there until we sold our house to go full time in November! So many good memories walking around there with the boys counting gators as well as petting the baby gators in the nature center.
Awesome video again ❤!! We also drove our bikes through shark valley, awesome experience. We had strong headwinds so we were really glad that we have e-bikes.
Very Cool! We were just in the Everglades a few weeks ago so we just missed you guys and you are right, it is such an amazing experience. We were also at the Florida Super Show and missed meeting you there too!
I want to thank you for sharing this video with all of us. It was so awesome and I love your family. I loved it when JJ said all Allergertor s 😂❤😊 I have been watching your family for a while now and I think your family is so awesome. Be safe with your travels 🙏 ❤️ ✨️
So fun!!! We were actually there just yesterday. Shark Valley was a zoo. We walked in, only to find there were no bikes or trams available. 🙄. We did a sunset airboat tour though and it was amazing! (I posted it in my stories on Instagram today.) Can’t believe you had no lines at Robert’s here. Great timing!
Many years ago living and working law enforcement in Florida, I can remember the cases where people were attacked by gators. It does happen, you just need to know the park regs/precautions, and follow through with what the rangers tell you. Just as you would in Yellowstone, or any park. Enjoy!
I have tent camped/canoed in the Everglades with Outward Bound friends. It was amazing, but I had some pretty scary dreams beforehand! Also, I live in Texas now and have been to Brazos Bend. It is crazy to walk around so many gators! They are everywhere. We tent camped there, too, and there were no gators at the campsite, but my imagination had me on the lookout! :)
We were camped at "Long Pine campground" at the end of their season for two weeks, also stopped at "Robert is Here" many times during our stay. You didn't mention how the fruit stand got it's name, quite an interesting story.
Respect those beasts! We took an airboat ride & the guide said alligators can suddenly strike from I think he said 12’ and get you. We had a huge one bump up against our boat & those sides are so low (3”?) that it was amazing! Loved visiting Robert is Here Fruitstand was so neat to visit, I especially liked the exotic fruit fields across from it. I can’t remember what they were called but I still see those in our supermarket & now I know how they grow!
When I was a child, we camped in the Everglades. I remember taking a night walking tour through the swamp and the ranger shining his flashlight in the swamp so we could see the red eyes of alligators. Have you ever considered a night tour of the Everglades?
Hi Nathen Marissa it was so nice to have met you in person at the Tampa RV show. Well, Marissa like we said snakes I hate snakes what now you’re eating them good for you lol Looking forward to your next great adventure, your secret is safe with me. Be safe great travels and keep posting videos. A Canadian RVer eh
We loved riding our ebikes on Shark Valley. However, a very large alligator did come out unexpectedly and chased alongside my husband within a foot of his leg. It came out of the grasses right next to him. My husband didn't know it when it was happening. I just sped up so he would follow. If I had said anything, he would have stopped and would have stepped on it. It was longer than his bike and ran at his same speed, which was around 7mph. The only photo of a gator that I didn't get. 😂
But do they have crabapple jelly at that fruit stand? If so, I may have to stop as I'll be in the area for the month of February. aI might also have to check out camping in the Everglades, we'll see. It was fun seeing you guys at the show. Keep the good stuff coming guys and give the kids a hug for me.
Hello Marissa and Nathan! I just want to say that we have enjoyed your travels for years, delighting along with you through all your amazing adventures. We feel we know you. Lol. We are now once again in Florida with our RV. I have always been wanting to visit the Everglades. We watched you guys really dive into it, and it looked like you got superbly out of your comfort zones, all of you. Any tips and/or tips for first timers to the Everglades.? Thanks a bunch, and we really enjoy you all.
There are 3 crocs at Shark Valley. The first one you saw is the middle sized one of unknown sex and showed up about 2 years ago. The big one out by the tower has been in this part of the park for about 7 years and is a female. The NPS biologists captured her and took data. This year a smaller one also showed up, again, sex unknown. These are all American Salt Water Crocodiles happily living in fresh water.
We were in the Everglades the week of Christmas. We did the tram tour at shark valley and it was really well done. We also saw the crocodiles in the same spot. 😂 Wish we had found that fruit stand though…and Disney!
Did you notice the new Buc-ee's being built at the Smith Grove, KY exit on I-65? I think it opens in May 2024. Now you can stop there on your way up to Indiana.
Hey guys great video! Off topic question. We have the Lectric XP 3.0 bikes and we are curious about your cover we saw in video? Is it heavy duty? Does it stay in place on road? Do you have a sponsored Amazon link for it? Thanks!
That tower looked just like Clingman’s Dome. You said you’ve never seen anything like that. It’s in TN! 😁 I’m not giving you a hard time; just thought it was funny.
If you are where I think you are we are on Gypsy in a stainless prevost bus. If you have a moment it would be an honor to meet you if you have a moment.
Nathan, my Lectric bike is the very first model sold. On JJ’s seat, did you buy the Burley child seat that attaches to the frame (FM frame model) or the one that attaches to the rack over the tire ( Rack model). If it’s the frame mount, did you get the extended or standard rails? Thanks so much.
JJ’s comment “I have a bad feeling about this” was the best!!! 😂😂😂.
😂

I love the knowledge that Hensley and JJ are getting !!!!!!!!!!!

Love Shark Valley, it's an awesome place to walk, bike, or take a tram ride
It really is!
Great Video. Since you are so close to South Miami Dade, a must-see is the Coral Castle. They kids will love it, the story is amazing, and the stone work is mind-blowing.
Thanks for the tip!
That view over the Everglades was amazing. The experiences your kids are getting are priceless.
Loved that table you guys sat at the fruit stand that was thick

You guys are always fun to watch. Kids are adorable and we've seen some amazing places. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much 🤗
One of my favorite places to go and hike or bike and it’s only about an he S of where I live. Have the best time! ❤❤❤❤

Robert's Fruit Stand looked awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Our pleasure!
It was so cool to visit! I can’t remember what we bought…probably ice cream.
You don’t have to outrun the alligators. You just have to outrun those around you. 😀😀😀. JJ watching Star Wars? “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”
😂😂😂

Hope you bought an Ugly fruit for the kids. It tastes just like an oversized orange. Those were green, so find you one that's more yellow.
What an awesome video! Your children are truly blessed with all the life lessons they are receiving. You are fantastic parents, Nate and Marissa. 💛
Thank you so much!
What a cool experience for the kids.
Fun watching your warm adventure during these winter months! Fun and fabulous education for your children!
Thank you so much!
Loved this video! As soon as y’all got on the Air Boat my 3.5 year old son said he wanted to take a ride on one to see the alligators.
That is awesome!
I agree with JJ. I have a bad feeling about this 😂
😂😂😂

Gosh Nathan that was a brave move. I think you are all brave. ❤🇬🇧
Thank you.
Awesome! We have all this already on our upcoming visit.
Wonderful!
You guys are stressing me out 😮😮😦😯😲😄🤣🤣
The drinks looked Awesome 💯😎❤
So good! It’s a fun stop.
I agree with JJ 😂 I have a bad feeling about this. 😅 all the alligators

We hope so.

You all might want to ware your backpack backwards so it doesn’t hit the children in face…lol
Wear... 😂
Hope you enjoyed it!
Yall should check out Okefenokee swamp during the spring alligator mating season!!! As well as Paynes Prairie, Buffalo, wild horses!!
My wife and I did that bike ride at night. They do a full moon bike ride..... it is nuts. And your blood will be a pumping.

The Robert Is Here fruit stand is about 15 minutes from my childhood home. My mom still lives there.
I liked the fruit stand! Have y’all ever been to Casa de Fruta in California?
We have not, is it amazing?
Awesome video guys.. that tower reminds me of the one at clingman dome!!. looks exactly the same same pretty cool
Great episode! Looks like Hensley’s going to need her own ebike soon.
I have tent camped/canoed in the Everglades with Outward Bound friends. It was amazing, but I had some pretty scary dreams beforehand! Also, I live in Texas now and have been to Brazos Bend. I didn’t look, but they had so many options!
Did you get the Star fruit. It is good, and when you cut it, it looks like a star . It would be a great school project for the kids❤
We did not but it was so cool.

The star fruit is sliced so that the slices look like stars
It would be best to put the spare keys for the E-Bikes in a safe place.
22:33 TH-cam is where you learn how to cut fruit 😊
Roberts use to have honeybee encased ingress all around insde was sharp and of course fresh honey

Greet meeting you at the Tampa RV show last week!!

LOVE the intro song!
Hey guys great video! Off topic question. We have the Lectric XP 3.0 bikes and we are curious about your cover we saw in video? Is it heavy duty? Does it stay in place on road? Do you have a sponsored Amazon link for it? Thanks!

i think we were referring more to the land and area that we were in 😀
Nathan I had a heart attack for you😮
JJ is the next Steve Irwin🐊🐊🐊
He gets so excited, I love it.👍👍👍
I haven’t been to homestead since hurricane Andrew devastated southern Florida. I volunteer to help clean up for two weeks.
Really cool to see
Would like to see you in RV Unplugged.
😮😮😵😵 I CANNOT BELIEVE you did that Nathan! How were you so quiet Marissa?. I would’ve been a complete mess. That’s gonna be a nope for me dawg
Haha! It was quite the adventure!
BEAUTIFUL
What kind of camera do the kids have? We are in the market to get our kiddos something. Thank you.
It is a kids camera we bought off Amazon. 😀
If you are where I think you are we are on Gypsy in a stainless prevost bus. If you have a moment it would be an honor to meet you if you have a moment.
Hi Friend this is not their channel, we just toured their bus. You might want to look up Double Decker Bus Family here on TH-cam.
Too close, like those people at Yellowstone with the Buffalo.
Nathan, I have a Lectric bike. I need a child seat like you have on yours. What brand or model do you use.
Not sure which one you are asking about but here are both of them. * Hensley's Seat: amzn.to/3j7CgJW
* JJ's Seat: amzn.to/3y6ysNm
@@LessJunkMoreJourney thank you so much!
Aligators and crocs are the only animals that continually grow new teeth throughout their lives.
I think I just spotted ur rig FLA ?
You just might have 😀
LOL
Are you still building an rv ?

They open mouth to regulate temp. Like a dog panting🐕🐕🐕
Fun fact!
Natt you wouldn’t be able to see me run past you. I would have been moving at the speed of light. Nope not doing snakes.
😂😂😂
❤❤❤
Excuse me if I opt to not go on a walk with you guys. I'm not into reptiles, death defying heights, bottom of a canyon through rough water, etc.
Haha we have been a little adventurous lately. We have our normal days and our journey days. Some days are just plain old walks 😂
Gators and crocs will open their mouth to help regulate body temperature
Interesting! Thanks for the info.
yeah turn off the tv and get out there
Nope. Nopey nope-nope.
So you can tell the difference between crocodiles and alligators. An alligator will see ya later and a crocodile will see you in a while
Arrrggghhh! 😂
Ah, no thanks!!!
Clouds look fake nowadays
I cant watch this episode either..
Spolier Alert, everyone is fine. 😀
