When I saw the words Coroners Court, I was wondering if it was like a regular court but by the you described your experience was absolutely incredible and it’s made me rethink about Coroners. I was so sad about the first family’s story; I know a lot of friends who have mental health and I agree, more needs to be done ✅; every time someone used to say that I cannot cope or I think about taking my life, I was frightened and I didn’t know what to say because for someone on the spectrum, it was an absolute shock. But it’s always made me think as person. I wish I could do more to help. I hope 🤞 one day that the world 🗺 will realise that and there will more awareness for mental health. Got very emotional whilst typing this but I wanted to write this out there. 🦋✨
Sez Francis Thank you so much Sez for your words 🌻 It’s horrible to think anyone has to go through this stuff. I, myself have had low moments in life and that was bad enough for me. Let alone someone with diagnosed MH conditions 💔 it breaks my heart. But I want to help more people where I can! I have an idea but it’s getting it into action and whether it’s all possible to do. Xx
Such a wonderful nurse you will be! I’m from Australia and over here if someone dies by suicide it does not go to court the investigation ends as soon as they find out it was a suicide! I think that’s awful when someone takes their own life they are forgotten and nothing gets done to help the next person , and there is no working on prevention I think that’s terrible how Australia treats mentally ill people
Gosh it’s awful isn’t it!! :( it’s the same here. Seems like there’s not much help! Mental health services are so short here and huge waiting lists :( more definitely needs to be done for people’s mental health 😭❤️
Thanks for video very helpful I'm going to be attending coroners court soon I expect after girlfriend took her own life. After been drastically reduced from her regular dose of diazapam. Her demise was well documented over 2 months losing stones of weight unable to relax barely able to walk and continuous pain. The doctors the mental health nurses the NHS and even her local MP were fully aware of her demise and her suicidal thoughts but offered no help. An unnecessary loss of life and presided over by so many professionals.
Omg! This is awful. I’m so so sorry you have had this 😭 this is not ok. It seems like everyone always waits until it’s too late?! Makes me so sad / upset / angry that this is the case 😭 I hope you’re ok, I know this must be such a rough time for you right now. If you ever need to chat, just give me an inbox somewhere. Never suffer in silence and get support if you need it 💙 xx
Brilliant Video claire. Such an emotional day for you I hope you enjoyed friendsfest after all of that. I cant imagine how difficult it must have been to be part of the case of the person who committed suicide. There definitely needs to be huge improvements in healthcare for people who are suffering from mental health issues. The stigma is still there unfortunately and those with mental health issues dont deserve that. They dont choose to suffer. Sending you hugs xx
Nurse Corinne Thank you! It was so heartbreaking. I couldn’t go into too much detail about the case. But all I kept thinking during was ‘more could of been done for this person’. Was so sad. I did have a great time at friends fest tho to relax ☺️ Hope you’re having a good week! Xx
Kerrie D Hey! Hope you’re having a great Friday. To be honest both haha. Last year I arranged a day there myself by emailing the coroners team through their website. But this time around the uni arranged it for us. If you google your local court and just message them they will give you some dates and times you can go to observe.
I lost my wife last September and we are getting ready for court, so thank you for your fabulous update
Oh no! I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you’re ok ❤️🩹
It’s not a nice experience to go through sadly :(
Thank you Claire. I have been invited to an inquest as a nurse next year march and I’m so nervous 😢. Your video calmed me a little
Thanks claire for sharing your experience, I have always been fascinated by coroners court. It was so interesting to hear your experience x
Claire Quinn - Nursing Secrets Thank you so much Claire :) it was a very interesting experience and well worth going along to see how it all works x

I’m here now trying to work out what to expect from the inquest as my brother took his life almost 4 weeks ago.

Sound is low?
Hi Claire, was this something you arranged yourself or was it something your Uni organised for you? 😊
Kerrie D Hey! Hope you’re having a great Friday.
