Im the only one who likes when the plaza is near the airport? I loved the kidcore city one and the tropical entrance!!
It can be nice. The one at the beginning with the blue fencing is right at the airport, but also in the middle. I restarted my island completely and searched for ages for the south west outlet which i figured out before - and my plaza is almost in the middle of the map and almost in the middle to the airport and that’s exactly how I wanted it - I restarted the game for hours to get this specific island 😅 - so I like the plaza, when it’s more in the middle, not right in front of the Airport.
I wish mine was closer. I'd set it all up as a resident plaza with the shops and everything so I'd have the whole rest of my island for everything else. I feel like it is good for cottagecore too, having the most developed by the airport and let it get more and more feral as it fans out.
me!! mine's about 15-20 spaces from the airport and it fits well with my university theme (it's like the "main building").
my entrance is a park/lounge and makes it easy for me to fence off the rest of my island for visitors :D

Lol my brother owns my island and he isn’t letting me buy a new one and I think I kind of have the perfect solution for this kind of problem that may occur to you because you just can’t delete your save data

my resident services is right in front of my airport entrance to the left and i hardly have any space to work with :(
Restart it, if you have any friend where you can store all your things it’s okay, I Made this too and my GF stored all my tickets and things. I had the double south outlet and my plaza to the right from the airport and almost in front of the beach. Restarting was the best thing I could do

Yep same with me but restarting is not an option since I'm almost at 1000 hours and got so many items and villagers I love and nobody I could give them to anyways. I'll just have to keep on experimenting
i see lots of people put cliffs to the side a few blocks away from the bridge entrance and have them continue up and around the plaza and i think that’s a cool idea for islands like yours. you can make a cool entrance with little space !
I wish I had my close to the entrance. I’m personally struggling to decorate the in between because I have such a huge gap. Lol

Honestly I’m so happy I watch this video my resident service area is so close to my entrance and I was having such a hard time figuring out how to do it and I fell in love with the one where right at the entrance is split to the right and went street and on the right it went to the front of the resident service area It’s some thing I wanna do now

I'm still trying to get the items I need to finish my island, i have almost finished with terraforming it, the entrance was the first thing I completed, for the most part. It is a little enclosed bamboo forest that directs you to the visitor center/town hall

Restarted my island and now I’m struggling to think of a theme loool. I named my island Kauai (After the island in Hawaii where lilo and stitch was based) so I might do a tropical/cottage core theme because I love them both 😂

My new island is route 66 themed. So, for my entrance, I'm thinking of doing a run down gas station. My island will be mostly desert themed, so I'm thinking have using an extra user slot for an actual indoor gas station. Have the pumps and a parking lot outside, and a convenience store inside. Idk what do you guys think?

This video really helped me figure out what I should do with my entrance because of how off centered my resident services is from the entrance to my island. Now I don't have to restart and lose all my progress :D
Thanks some good inspo. Currently working on mine and my biggest dilemma currently is to leave nooks next to entrance or to move it somewhere else.
